You can buy them in many german bakeries too. Yum :)

Bake them yourself is also very easy. no special ingrediens, just butter, Sugar, Salt eggs, flour, bakingpowder, yeast, milk and Water. Cooking with Dog has a very nice Tutorial for melon Pan :)

duh it tastes like bread...=.= its cookie dough and bread dough mixed together...baked in such a way that the bread dough is baked just nice but the cookie dough is left underbaked....since they both doughs take different times to bake....

also melon bread is traditionally baked as such with no relation to melon...besides the looks anyways....dont ask why or how it came abt...wiki it if u want...=P
