  • That is the lasiest swing i have ever seen. You have to turn your hips and explode to the ball and get full extension then finish high.

  • that bat looks way too heavy for u kid!

  • I notice that sometimes he doesn't put his full force into his swing, he just waves at the pitch and hopes it bounces off the barrel of the bat. He should practice turning his hips and firing at the ball with all his might.

  • what batting cage do you have?

  • Whatever that sound is in background makes me have to pee!

  • @Deke100 its a fucken bong

  • sick cage

  • rollover

  • Another great option for a wood bat is the Phoenix bat company. My clients receive a 10% discount and free shipping on orders over $150 using the promo code baseballsmith10.

  • Not bad. Hitting with wood will definitely improve hitting mechanics overall. You can make a mistake with metal most the time and still get a good hit or foul enough not for an out. I use a 33 inch 31 oz half bamboo half maple Mizuno bat which I have had great success with. For me finding a wood bat has to be like finding the right glove. If it handles well for your size and strength and has a good feel in the hands then it's for you. Be selective when choosing a wood bat.

  • your stance is really closed but thats the only thing i'd change

  • Nice swing... im 13 too.

  • where did u get that dat from and how much did it cost

  • nice swing

  • that one of the "toys" rich people buy

  • Dude nice cage weere yu get it an how much ???

  • do u play on a travelling or all star team bro?

  • I guess you can't read. "Swinging harder don't show results in a cage. Bat control is what should be developed before bat speed "

  • @mpov147 Your son has a nice swing, good contact, and strong hands. May I ask how much the netting for your batting cage cost?

  • Well that is why a good hitter adjusts to the angle of the pitch. Your stance should be parallel with the pitch. So facing a lefty you would open your stance to swing parallel . Ted Williams describes all this in book The Science of Hitting. Swinging harder don't show results in a cage. Bat control is what should be developed before bat speed

  • It doesn't even look like your trying. I wish I had one of those batting cages in my backyard!

  • hes got a good swing just i noticed that his hips really move foreward when he hits

  • my baseball team just switched to wood...any advice on what type of bat to get

  • younger kids any wood will do. If they are strong enough to start breaking wood bats start off with laminated wood or bamboo. Stay away from batting cages with dimple hard dense balls.A wood bat with a stained barrel is good because after repeated use, you can see the stain diminish on the sweet spot if you are hitting the ball solid. The trick to making a wood bat last is to keep the label facing straight up a piont of contact which is in front of the plate. 90 % of the pros don't have a clue.

  • @mpov147 lol yeah i took one of my old woods bats that i didnt care about too much against a 70mph batting cage. first pitch CRACK!

  • @mpov147 however my GAMER maple bat which i loved broke 2/3 into the season. pitch came inside and jammed me. but yea u do have to keep the label up or down. hit the ball with the strong part of the grain. not the U's.

  • @mpov147 Ur right, but the pro dont really care becuase if the bat breaks they have tons of the same 1

  • @mpov147 you dont have to be strong to break a wood i broke one when i was 7. u juts have to hit it on the wrong spot

  • An Eeaston Torpedo is a good training tool
