woah guys. here me out. you guys forget that lucus was the one that let peyton break free of her insecure shackles. lucas saw the girl he knew peyton could be && peyton knows that. think about it. although she had jake, there was always that special bond between them whether peyton && lucas interpret them as feelings romantically or not. that said, the kiss between them surfaced the special bond that they had && peyton choose to be honest && BURY them for her even suffered season 4 for brooke .

Ok, so Brooke APOLOGISES to Peyton for saving herself in the school then desperately pleads with her best friend not to hurt her again. Her best friend then assures her she won't (and makes her feel guilty for it) and then a few episodes later Peyton acts like a victim because she declares she has feelings for Brooke's boyfriend AGAIN!! I don't understand this! Peyton is so clearly in the wrong!!! I don't hate P but this entire story arc is nonsense!!

i think that it was understandable for lucus to push brooke away in this episode, but i think that the talk in the library with peyton was a bit too intimate, and that was the problem since season 1. Lucus always felt the need to protect peyton and to take care of her because she seems to be a little weaker than brooke when it comes to dealing with emotions. And because they had such an intimate reationship it was understandable for him to fall for peyton in season 1, but not again season 3 :(

I feel like in this episode Brooke realized that she and Luke wouldn't be together in the end. It's a heartbreaking episode! Peyton was a bitch the first time she cheated with Lucas, and you know what, she never had a hard time cheating! That is why I think she's a horrible person, because everyone makes mistakes but she isn't sorry. I can't believe Peyton has the nerve to act like nothing happened and tell Brooke to not worry. Brooke is nothing but a victim, who gave away her heart and was hurt

it always seems like brooke invested so much of her heart in peyton. so much genuine love and time and attention.. but peyton never returned it. it really shows here when brooke's talking about her guilt for levaing peyton.. peyton says all she scared was that brooke was safe, i dont buy that. like she loves brooke, but not in the deep, 'i'll always be your friend' way that brooke loves her. it seems like peyton only really loved her on the surface. it really sucks, cause brook deserves more.

i always felt the writers got it wrong with the whole triangle thing... i think they should have kept brooke as lucas romantic love and peyton as someone that he loved but as a friend and as someone that he shares a lot of common interests... just my opinion, i think that would have worked better when he paired up leyton it just didnt make sense to me anymore and the show went downhill for me.

By the way, you know the Brucas scene? He was supposed to say "I know that. I know that" but he improvised to make it better, saying "It's good being here - especially with you". This was when they were separating, but he wanted her back. Plus the kiss in this scene has been confirmed to be totally unscripted, but Chad put it in on one of the last takes and they used it. You can see Sophia hand flops a bit in surprise, but she covers up really well. Also "It means everything" was unscripted.
