  • An unusually subdued Simon in this clip. He was probably worrying about how he was going to manage to get my ironing done in time to get it back to me for the weekend. He's been a great support to me in my old age.

  • What would you like in your " meal on wheels " today?

Roast Beef & Yorkshire, with prunes & custard ?

  • It's "can't get you out of my head" by Kylie Minogue

  • Can somebody tell me what the name of this dance tune is??

    Thanks

  • Hi

I shall certainly find out for you

  • Our D J has replied below for you !

  • well..

to me it doesn't look like jive.

The dance seems to be reggaeton.

At least the step and the music would rather match..

  • Hi Thanks for your comment. The dance here is called Ceroc which was developed in London in the 1980's from French social jive dancing. It is called "Modern Jive" as an alternative name, because CEROC is a registered trade name and you have to pay for a franchise in order to use that name.

Simon on the JiveNation website under "Special Events"

writes "timing is most like Merengue"

  • This dance is a hustle. It's more of a club dance. You can also do a synchopated hustle which means when you do the back rock it half a beat faster.

  • There is a fuller description under "more.." on top right of this video.

    The moves are:

    MANSPIN

    r.h.cach

    ARM BAR

    FALSE CLEAVER

    FULL CLEAVER

    R.H.COMB
