It is falsifiable, which means it able to be proven false if new evidence is found to contradict it. It makes predictions which can be tested. There is a theory of gravity, too. I went to Mormon church when I was a kid, then came back and was a member from about 18-21. I liked the people and a lot of the good they did but I couldn't really bring myself to believe a lot of strange concepts and that lead to the realization that the reason I wasn't "hearing the spirit/God" was because I was just pleasing those around me.

However, I do believe in God through a personal revelation, through the historical evidence for the Christian belief and the person of Jesus Christ. And it makes sense of what science reveals about what God has created in the Universe.

Atheism is the complete opposite of Theism, the denial of the existence of God. Agnostics see Atheism as a philosophical belief which cannot be defended on evidence as it is too radical a claim to make as it cannot be asserted since it is based on any empirical evidence. Agnostics believe that God may or may not exist, that it cannot be knowable.

@Surfxeo You are wrong. Negative Atheism was mentioned by Anthony Flew in 1976. Atheism is not necessarily the denial of god, it is the lack of a belief in god. If you do not believe in santa claus, you do not "deny him" you simply don't believe that he exists.
Atheism doesn't contradict agnostism. Agnostics BELIEVE that the truth value of god is unknowable, but that doesn't mean that they cant disbelief a god.
Even if you can't know, it doesn't mean you cant disbelief or belief.

"I don't believe X" is a positive claim about your belief, but not about X. Lacking a belief in X because of the absence of evidence does not constitute a positive claim about X, it merely constitutes the null hypothesis. Any sane person should hold that position about everything for which they have no evidence.

I liked the people and a lot of the good they did but I couldn't really bring myself to believe a lot of strange concepts and that lead to the realization that the reason I wasn't "hearing the spirit/God" was because I was just pleasing those around me.

@redshadowsword Faith and cowardice. It's that simple. If it wasn't for religions selling the con that "This book, you heaven't read yet, is from God and absolutely true. But before you read it, you must declare faith and BELIEVE that it is from God and absolutely true." and "you MUST convince yourself you believe this is true, otherwise you'll be lit on fire when you die and tortured forever!", religions wouldn't have a fraction of the suckers defending it that it does now.
