  • deff not how it was,,,, there is no way in hell a TI would allow u to cheer for beating someone in the sand pit. especially picking your head up.. I remember trainee's from my flight looking like sand paper was ripped across there face from the amount of times having to redo it because of picking your head up. 323rd TRS was not like that .. House of Pain

  • Both my late father and older sister went through this. My dad went in in 1951, and my sister in 1978 or '79.

  • I never saw anyone act that happy or excited while I was at bmt. Especially in the 2nd week which is when FEST happens.

  • @brookexflute I went through in 2003, this looks like a joke compared to what we had.

  • girl at 0:54

1.)don't touch the trigger unless target is in clear sight

2.)move the butt-stock down...if you know whats best

  • i just heard that you can bring your phone, never get to use it, they hold it for you until youre able to like maybe on a holiday or so... idk?

  • @mrazbaby746 after the 8 weeks are up you can use it; not sure if you're even allowed to have it with.

  • @assadd1 yeah what do you think you make phone calls home with...lol this ant the marines

  • @mrazbaby746 When i went through starting in may 17, you had like 10-15 minutes once a week ussually on the weekend to call home. You dont receive them back until the morning you leave for tech school

  • @mrazbaby746 You can use it on Sundays when they give you time to call home, sometimes Monday if not Sunday. Otherwise you will never use it, you will see your phone 1x a week, cant text, only calls. Generally for 15 minutes if your good

  • @mrazbaby746 Poor baby, we did't have phones in my day, 1971, you had to stand in line and wait for 30 minutes until it was your turn! Grow up and act like a soldier!!!!

  • @sctodd22 dude what are you talking about grow up? you make no sense? im not whining about not using cell phones i mean lets be real, its basic training not vaca @ a spa. i was just saying what i heard and since im joining here in a few months I was wondering when you actually can use it.

  • wow, these girls are goin week. i know that both my flight and my sister flight actually broke a few dummies when we did this.

  • That dude was gay, he called Rodriguez his baby...

  • things have sure changed since I went through Lackland in 1969,

  • weak.

  • USAF is the greatest air force in the world but I gotta say, this shit is embarrassing. I have a right to my opinion, even more so since I went thru this training and have been in for 3 years so far. Obviously we are not an infantry branch of service but I was surprised at the way the MTI's trained for this stuff. Drill was taught well, blue rope inspections were intimidating and attention to detail was definitely up to par but when it came to this "war skills" it felt like I was at summer camp.

  • @chevymoto78 I heard that they aren't allowed to threaten or anything like that now either. I've heard a few people say how easy it is for kids now because so many suicide attempts.

  • Dec 6th!!! ALRIGHT!!!

  • 0:54

    girl closest to the camera

NEVER PUT YOUR FINGER ON THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU ARE AIMING AT WHAT YOU PLAN ON SHOOTING.

  • We never did bayonette training in '99 AF BMT, must be new. You'll never use it by the way, I didn't even get to fire my weapon.

  • what week is this?

  • 5 years ago all that seemed like it was such a pain in the ass, but now looking back i realize how fun it was :P

  • Videos like this piss me off. "that a boy baby! *pat on the back*"

Bulllllshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. That shit don't fly in BMT.

  • Wow, when I went through in 2001 we did all that stuff at the warrior week compound. I cant believe its been 10 years since I went through the same training.

  • I can't wait to join the Air Force. I'm so excited )

  • @zTaecoa That is ridiculous. Only got one when i got there, one before beast week, then then day before the coin ceremony

  • Comment removed

  • lol :53....surely that's not the way a "Warrior" Airman should hold a weapon. Just goes to show you the joke that BMT is and how the higher ups would have you think we're badasses. When I went through basic we had a girl holding her weapon like that. The TI training us had her shout "boom! I got a bazooka!" repeatedly so long as she held it like that. lol.

  • Ravemau5 I'd like to see you f...ing do it b..ch

  • damn tht shits fucking easy wut a douche bag

  • The kid at 1:50 seems to be like a fairly large tool.

  • I am a Marine, I am watching this because my best bro from high school just left for Air Force basic. I am lolololoooooloolloololing so hard.

  • @gunnyEstrada Good for you.

  • @xJakex068 Yupp, good for me.

  • @gunnyEstrada I am an Airman, and I'm watching this because I just stumbled on it, and so am I. BMT is such a joke. I was seriously disappointed when I went through. I guess that's why they make us go through Army CST before we deploy. Even the higher ups know you don't really learn anything at BMT.

  • @shapow54 But... it was probably fun.

  • Infantry leads the fucking way!

  • Until you need them.

  • haha so air force is so weak!

  • So, are ther blanks or real bullets in those rifles? :D Or just nothing, lol. They look like they don't shoot or anything, but i was curious because im enlisting.

  • @Exangel15 They are duckies

  • @Exangel15 Neither. The magazines are empty. And get this-the lower receivers are solid and non functional. The only real operational piece on the receiver is the bolt, and that's on the upper half. The only time you get live rounds is when you go to qualify with your m16. And thats once during the whole thing. When I went, there was lightening, so they didnt let us shoot and never sent us back. In 4 years of active duty AF service, I've never fired a rifle. So much for being a warrior airman.

  • @jvrlopez In my time I recall having to qualify only twice the whole 4 years(2nd time was a year and a half after BMT). They changed it where you had to take a CBT every once in a while unless you were in a specialty under arms(like Security Forces) or right before you deploy.

I think the Air Force did it because they supposedly can't spare the ammo expense. So much for being a "profession of ARMS". Every airman needs to be proficient regardless of AFSC, not just the cops!!! >:(

  • hell yea.. i cant wait

i leave august 2nd ill be aircraft Loadmaster I got to swear in w/ my DEP at the supercross last night it was sick lol

  • lol i went through the same exact BMT but some of these people just look stupid holding weapons. And whats the deal with yelling after the sand box? Your not hardcore for crawling in sand.

  • @mylifelike13 you go do it you shit. you try serving in americas air force. it will beat the hell out of you and you feel proud for doing something as simple as crawling through a sand pit

  • You guys try Pararescue and just call it "another day"

  • That looked like my big brother flight. From what I could see that was the 323rd Training Squadron. I was there from Sep 1, 2009 through November 30.

  • i want to be a airman so bad

  • @skadooshcovers Thats how i feel on becoming a Marine

  • @skadooshcovers are you one now? 8 months have passed since this last comment so id asume yes?

  • @prGRMY12 well ill be graduating highschool this year so after that then i willbe haha

  • @skadooshcovers good luck, its really hard to enlist now

  • @skadooshcovers if youre serious about it, talk to your recruiter like right now. if you wait til you graduate, you could be waiting up to a full year depending on the jobs you list/qualify for.

  • That guy went NUTS after the high crawl

  • THATS MY SQUADRON!!! 324!!!!! HHHHUUUUUAAAA

  • air force bmt is a joke

  • @Beholdendamage What's your address? Imma a PJ and my brother will be doing this. Either way you look at it, your comment is fucking stupid. Everybody knows it so why are being Captain Obvious? Feel smart right?

  • i went through bmt silly im in the air force security forces. The reason why BMT is a joke is cause for one when i went through bmt we didnt even fire the m16 we got very little weapons training and we didnt learn anything but how to roll socks and how to march if u see the videos from beast u see trainees that dont even know how to hold on to their weapons after 6 weeks of training may i add. i was posted with my m4 the other day and an airman walked up to me and said is that the gun from COD

  • @Beholdendamage wow what a joke. I was going to enlist in the Airforce until I found that out. Then I went Army Infantry and in Infantry school we fired everything from M4's, M249's, M240B's, MK 19's, AT-4's, M203's, M2 .50 CAL Machine Guns, and being an Indirect Fire Infantryman, I also fired the 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm Moratr systems. How's that for weapons training.

Now I work on the 120mm mortar and the M240B.

  • PVTTomb exactly my good sir. im not saying the airforce is full of pussies cuz we got troops puttin the work in downrange but to say that our bmt makes WARRIORS is kind of an insult to marines and rangers and all the rest of our guys who go through REAL training to fight the wars downrange me personally im qualified on most of those weapon systems u listed above with the exception of the at 4 and the mortar systems but i didnt learn that in bmt i learned that through advanced training for my job

  • @Beholdendamage sweet. That's the best thing you could've done since you didn't shoot any of that in basic. One other one that we qualified with was Hand Grenades. So I'm Expert Qual with the 81 and 120mm mortars, Marksman with the Rifle, and Expert with Hand Grenades. I want to qual with the 240B since I'm also a 240 gunner, but I havent been given that oppertunity yet.

  • And if u really are a pj props to u like seriously pjs, ccts, eod, security forces, combat weather, and Tacp are the like the only ppl that can defend a base if shit were to hit the fan but besides that i felt let down after bmt everything i learned in bmt i cannot apply in my current air force career at the moment

  • @Beholdendamage Not necessarily, when we get sent over seas now, a lot of us are trained for combat situations, even BS jobs. Cause now we do convoys with army and stuff.

  • @mylifelike13 "cause we do convoys with the army and stuff" wow u sound really educated. thats another thing about the airforce. it doesnt speak for itself when an airman tells someone their in the airforce they have this urge to say "yeah we go out and do convoys with the army". as with the marines and army they dont have to say shit ppl already know they went through some crap to earn their titles. here i gotta job 4 u go to an airforce base and find an airman who doesnt work behind a desk.

  • @Beholdendamage

Obviously you have no idea what your talking about. Because all day long on 12 hour shifts im around tons of people who arnt behind desks. Not to mention our joint operations with army or marines, but someone in your position wouldnt know what the hell im talking about anyway. Go on the flight line and show me the jobs with a desk. Or how you can fix, maintain a plane or maintain an airfield. And what else, oh yeah the biggest police force in the world.

  • @Beholdendamage

Not to mention Pararescue, Combat control and TAC-P. Or OSI, but no thats Airforce so its probably some boring desk job.

  • @MasterOfPuppetz17 it is a joke you dont learn shit!!!!

  • @Beholdendamage

    No it is not.

  • how do you get to record in basic, do you just bring a camera with you?

  • @frankie352 this was a brief snippet from the DVD that you get to purchase (if you want) directly from the 1 and only 1 taping service that will be there. You also get some pictures, etc., from another company that is allowed there specifically for just that. So, yeah, other than that, no cams or anything allowed, nor cell phones, during basic.

  • @assadd1 i heard your allowed to take your phones now is this true?

  • @darkstarbd321 not, at least not 2 years ago. No phones at all during basic, not on weekends, weekdays, or anything like that. Then you get to make a quick, timed call to whoever is being invited to "graduation," like the parents and relatives.

  • @assadd1 phones are allowed, however, theyre locked up in the MTI's office until they tell you youre allowed to call people. which depending on your squadron, and your mti him/herself, will be about once a week after 0 week.

  • @assadd1 No I was told no cell phones. So you were right.

  • @darkstarbd321 You can take your cell phone now but the TI's confiscate it as soon as you get there and will let you use it when they allow you to make a personal call. At least my TI did. I did hear of some people not getting to make any phone calls but most did. My Flight got 1 a week after the 3rd week of training.

  • @darkstarbd321 yes now its true, and they give it back to you on sundays to make calls homes.

  • @darkstarbd321 you are allowed to bring your phones now. They are confiscated when you get there and you are allowed to make a phone call usually once a week for about 5 minutes

  • @darkstarbd321 Yes, you are allowed my brother went to basic 2 months ago and they told him to bring his phone, but when you get there they take your battery and give it to you when you are allowed to call

  • @darkstarbd321 that was only temporary, basically there were several suicide attempts (some attempts were successful) a week or two after i had graduated last january and every squadron let their trainees have an easy week and carry their cell phones and talk to their families to help make things a little easier.

  • @worldDuck7 Are you trolling? That sounds ridiculous.

  • @CraigBarduk i can see why you would think that but no. we were all just crazy fired up to hit something and release the anger. our MTI was actually laughing a little and we all had great fun FEST because of it. it just suprised me that these trainees didn't it treat it like such an oppertunity.

  • how do you get to record in basic, do you just bring a camera with you?

  • haha, that girl can barely hold an 8lb gun, lmao

  • I think it was early September, 2009 for the 9/24/09 BMT graduates.

  • when was this video taken? :)
