Thank god for the internet; although there is a lot of 'junk' out there, it is the single most important 'tool' in bringing us out of ignorance. I remember the time before internet and email. All you had was TV and News Media (for the most part) to rely on for 'information'.

The reason other planets have it because it is the greenhouse effect, which can happen on other planets. Our planet has this feature too, and if you add as much CO2 to the atmosphere, like we are, you've got yourself a greenhouse gas effect. CO2 obviously is natural and isn't poison, however too much of the chemical has negative affects for US.
