My country is buddism/Shintoism based but those religions do not judge us nor force us to believe as much as other religions does. If you look around the world today, it is easy to find that there are so much conflicts among Christianity and Muslims...which share the same God. Do you realize that the Bible was written over a period of 1600 years & covered a Historical period of 4000 years, covering many civilizations & cultures. Also, there is no possibility of "evil bunny land" existing as there have been no books or experiences related to such an absurdity. So let me get this straight. Everyone deserves eternal torture though I don't know why the punishment has to be so severe. But G' s son J offers himself up for torture and this means no one else has to be tortured and that is supposed to be the love of J. But to my mind torture is usually if not always wrong so hardly anyone deserves to be tortured. So J's sacrifice is just a pointless piece of self-harm.

@wrangel15 Hell seems to me too harsh a punishment even for Satan and his angels. Why not just prevent them from causing any harm (if God is all-powerful)? And if hell was meant for Satan and his angels, why does God allow people who just happen to have the wrong beliefs or who are not worship-inclined to end up there? Sounds vindictive to me, although what I really think is that hell is a tactic used by the religious to scare people into becoming like them.

I can disprove eternal torment in 30 words: I will restore the fortunes of Sodom and her sisters (Ezekiel 16:53). Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns...serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire (Jude 7).
It appears to be a lot of unbelievers justifying why they would choose Jesus or to reject him, whether to believe in hell and accept Gods gift... or not. About second chances... God gave us this life as one chance like the angels. Once we die, there are no more chances (Hebrew 9:27). We either go to hell or to heaven.

My country is buddism/Shintoism based but those religions do not judge us nor force us to believe as much as other religions does. If you look around the world today, it is easy to find that there are so much conflicts among Christianity and Muslims...which share the same God. It's not meant to be taken literally. Many Christians like to see the 7 headed and 4 legged beings as symbolic but the lake of fire as literal lol... It doesn't work that way.

The word hell is both a WORD found in many bibles and a DOCTRINE built upon a that word. Truth is, the word 'hell' is not found EVEN ONCE in the origional Hebrew and Greek manuscripts! Hell is an invention of pagans. @3VOLution3NO Because they don't want Him to be their God. God sent His son Jesus to die for our sins. We have a chance now to repent of our sins and turn to Jesus to be Lord of our hearts and life. God is waiting a long time to come back because He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But God can't force anyone to worship Him because people are created in God's image so they have a sovereign will like God does. God will forgive us if we repent.

Do you realize that the Bible was written over a period of 1600 years & covered a Historical period of 4000 years, covering many civilizations & cultures. Please note that they did not have a copy of the 2011 Webster American Standard dictionary. Therefore some of the words they used were different than the words we use today.
I do agree that the word hell in Scripture describes 3 different places.
1. Where all sinners go at death
2. Place where evil angels are.

Ps 9:17- The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Prov 23:14> Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
Beating someone with a rod does not prevent physical death, so it cannot mean the grave.

In OT, yes, both righteous & unsaved went to sheol. In NT Christ descended into hades/sheol after His resurrection & took the righteous to Heaven with Him. Unbelievers still go to hades when they die.

Here is a guy that believes that 'hell' is located directly in the center of the earth and a hole has been drilled into the earths core and screams can be heard ( 13:35 ) proving 'scientifically' that hell is a real place -what a credible preacher. No where is eternal damnation taught in the Torah or anywhere in the OT - its not fould in the 13 epistles of Paul either - a man who devoted entire chapters to spiritual gifts

Believe in the possibility of Hell and do what needs to be done in order for you not go there and to go to Heaven. Also, there is no possibility of "evil bunny land" existing as there have been no books or experiences related to such an absurdity. I myself happen to believe in Jesus, God, Heaven, Hell, the Holy Spirit, demons, and angels, but I'm not sure if accepting Jesus is necessary. So let me get this straight. Everyone deserves eternal torture though I don't know why the punishment has to be so severe. But G' s son J offers himself up for torture and this means no one else has to be tortured and that is supposed to be the love of J. But to my mind torture is usually if not always wrong so hardly anyone deserves to be tortured. So J's sacrifice is just a pointless piece of self-harm.

@qwistrod God prepared hell for Satan and his angels as stated in Matt 25:41. He prepared salvation for us but anyone who would not accept will not be saved and qualifies him to perish in hell.
Jesus knows about hell more than anyone else that he always warn people about it. He is "...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" - II Peter 3:9

@wrangel15 Hell seems to me too harsh a punishment even for Satan and his angels. Why not just prevent them from causing any harm (if God is all-powerful)? And if hell was meant for Satan and his angels, why does God allow people who just happen to have the wrong beliefs or who are not worship-inclined to end up there? Sounds vindictive to me, although what I really think is that hell is a tactic used by the religious to scare people into becoming like them.

@wrangel15 I haven't got time to read the whole thing now but it looks to me like the usual complete rubbish. Scare tactics to scare people into becoming Christian. The devils seem to be doing Jesus's dirty work for him while he 'sobs profoundly' (with crocodile tears). If God really was good and all-powerful there is no need to force people to worship him and certainly no need for eternal torture.

@wrangel15 Jesus may not want people to perish but of course everything has to be on his terms. People have to obsess about him all the time, sing his praises, kneel humbly before him etc etc otherwise they will perish. Like an egotistical tyrant. Though really it is many Christians who are keen for other people to submit to their religion. I suspect they get a power trip from it like any other bully.

I can disprove eternal torment in 30 words: I will restore the fortunes of Sodom and her sisters (Ezekiel 16:53). Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns...serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire (Jude 7).

It appears to be a lot of unbelievers justifying why they would choose Jesus or to reject him, whether to believe in hell and accept Gods gift... or not. Christianity is not a religious but the accepting Christ! Believe christ died for your sins and rose again (after three days). It's scripture, it's the WORD and the truth. God bless you all!

"If you find what the devil wants you to do, do the opposite." This is a PREACHER saying this. First off: what th HELL is a preacher doing finding out what the DEVIL wants him to do? Sir, you need to find out what GOD wants you to do and DO THAT. Cuz the first thing God will tel you is NOT to listen to the devil cuz the devil is smarter than you. Your line of thinking may serve Satan and you don't even realize it. Find out what GOD wants and do THAT. Don't worry bout what the devil says!!!

Also, you can't preach on hell unless you were instructed so by the Holy Spirit. If you preach on hell becuz it's what YOU want to preach on, you do so becuz Satan told you not to, and you didn't get the Holy Spirit's approval, then Satan used reverse psychology to get you to preach on hell. Becuz perhaps that morning a soul needed to hear about Jesus mercy and instead, since you weren't in the council of the Holy Spirit, you did otherwise and that soul was lost. Jesus did not die to save angels...these are His "created beings", not created in His image. Angels were not created to have a "Father/child" relationship with Him, but to worship God, and to be His messengers.

@Paletero336 @Paletero336 Angels, including the devils, are eternal beings. And they cannot be saved anymore. Once sinned, they will always be a sinner. God hates sin.
As with man, we can still be saved since Adam and Eve wasn't able to eat from the tree of life (that's why we die).
It is still God's love that He drove away Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:22-24) from the tree of life so He can still save us in proper time.

@Paletero336 Oh darn, Judge, how about a 3rd chance, a 4th chance, a 5th chance. God's Rules & Laws say you've got one chance....that's it. He demands OBEDIENCE - Adam & Eve disobeyed. That was their sin....God told them NOT to eat that fruit & they did it anyway. Now, God (Jesus) WALKED in the Garden with Adam. Adam KNEW & SAW God....but he STILL disobeyed. You get 1 chance with God to REMAIN PERFECT for your entire life. If you sin, ooops...there goes your one chance!

@Paletero336 God risked when He put Adam and Eve on the Eden garden. But that is still through their will if they follow Him or not.
About second chances... God gave us this life as one chance like the angels. Once we die, there are no more chances (Hebrew 9:27). We either go to hell or to heaven.
Regarding your other question, I like your inquisitive mind. But then there are questions that only God can answer. Just pray and I believe He will not disappoint you.

@wrangel15 the problem is when one preys to a god they believe it is "yes ,no or maybe"...there fore that god is always right which could apply to every god.....it really creates an illusion of their being a god...another example if something bad happens to me(atheist)...its because it's god punishing me or calling me out..if something bad happens to you(christian) it's god testing you..so really your beliefs like all religions play into your fears and emotions and that's what prevents logic.

For me, faith defies logic that logic cannot be used to explain our beliefs.

@Paletero336 The difference between mindless christian zombies like you and and a more reasonable person like me is that if your religions was true and I accepted your Jesus, i could never be content in a "heaven" knowing that family and friends were suffering a horrible punishment despite the fact that they were good people while murderers who had been "saved" could enter heaven. If I knew that my child was suffering in hell I would want to leave "heaven" and go to be with my child in Hell.
