  • hahah look at his facial expression change it scaaary

  • just love the part when he says "i know who i am !!!!! i'm a dude who plays another dude desguised in another dude!!!!

  • I love this part!

  • That FUCKEN troll smile when the guy turns away from Robert, that do width watching this over and over

  • I preffer Alpha Chino's line before "You're Australian! be Australian!"......Please, somebody, post that scene in YouTube!!!!

  • Like a Boss......

  • You crack me up LOL every fucking time i watch that movie hahahaha

  • hahahaha I know. RDJ was trying to contain his laughter!!

  • That smile cracked me up in the cinema, it looked like he went full retard for a second there...

  • "I dont read the script, the script reads me"

  • @Rollermacka "What does that even mean?"

  • this line is EPIC !!!!....i laugh every time i see this

  • He'd make a fine nigga.

  • he even thought that was funny ahah

  • LMAO at him

  • I like how he legititmaly looks like fk my spelling its legit! hahaha!

  • Thats a hard question...

  • It's so funny because he kind of broke character when he smiles a bit. Does anyone know if RDJ actually broke character? What a fkin brillant role.

  • @SteaksauceandRob It made him seem like he was breaking down and starting to become a little insane. I thought it was meant that way, idk.

  • @SteaksauceandRob That's a fun question to think about. But if you go deeper into it, you'll see that the question almost doesn't have meaning. This movie captured very live performances. In this case, whether Robert Downey thought it was funny and laughed or whether he figured the character would laugh and practiced it, either way, we get the same genuine laugh.

  • @mehitchcock Yeah he is such a fkin good actor and the character is god damn funny, if RDJ broke character it's even funnier. But thanks for the explaination.

  • I don't read script,script reads me

What the hell does that even mean?

What chu getting at the books and script spit that shit out Man! ( Little smile at the end LMFAO)

  • lol it's like the editors said "fuck it" and just put this scene in the movie.

  • who thinks that doctors should drop all the cancer research so they can concentrate on making Robert Downey Jr an actual black man

  • lol i like how he stopped himself from laughing. ahhahaha that part always cracked me up.

  • fucking classic!

  • i love how he goes from smiling to confused instantly hahaha.

  • WAHAHAHA

  • oh god he's face expression...i can't stop laughing!!

  • I'm sorry Robert Downey Jr. shoulda got the Oscar Heath Ledger was great and they were equal in importance but Robert just did a lot more with the material he had. It's a testament that he he's nominated for a role he's playing in black face. and how ironic that theyre both wearing make up

  • @jumpmanajf

i love RDJ..i love him for more than 10 years. But heath ledger deserved this one. RDJ's performance was brilliant and he should've won in every other year for this. but he got nominated the same year as heath - that was just bad luck...

no matter how much i love robert and how brilliant he was - heath's performance was unexampled that year.

  • @Ninaofthe90s Heath was good but it was a sympathy win. If he was alive Downey wins that Oscar hands down!

  • @BigPrimo33 bullshit! that's easy to say now!

Heath won because he was brilliant. any other year rdj would have won. Heath and peter finch (for network 1976) were the only two people who won the oscar after they died. Finch was also brilliant. So it's not like it's happening all the time

  • @Ninaofthe90s Not saying that at all. The Joker was awesome I agree but Tropic Thunder was IMHO a better Movie and Lincoln Osiris was the better character and I loved the Joker but he just wasn't as lasting in my mind to me. I will say this take away the Joker and that batman movie was crap other wise. But I can mimic every RDJ line in that movie. I guess we can debate it cause both were good performances but I do believe his death put Heath over the edge!

  • @BigPrimo33 It's crazy that they almost mimic each other. Theyre both the best things about the movie and theyre the saving grace and they also are wearing makeup.

  • @jumpmanajf LOL@ both wearing make up. Damn thats crazy, they did mimic each other!

  • @jumpmanajf Robert downey jr is a talented actor, and he will earn his oscar in time. Heath Ledger don't have another chance or time. So it was a rightful descision by the commité to award Heath rather than Robert.

  • @jumpmanajf If ledger was still alive RDJ might have actually had a chance. He owned this movie.

  • @TWill800 I'm not mad they both deserved but Joker been potrayed 3 times in the Adam West Batman series and Tim Burton and Nolan universe and they all did a good job i thought RDJ stretched more with the material nobody else coulda played it

  • @jumpmanajf Heath Ledger died so of course they had to give the Oscar to him. dying = win for sure in award ceremonies.

  • @LoveOrBeHated Id still give it to RDJ over Heath Ledger both great performances its easy to be great with a Christopher Nolan script but to get an oscar nom for a Ben STiller movie is no easy feat

  • @jumpmanajf yeah it's true. RDJ did a fricken fantastic job in tropic thunder. i was half convinced it wasn't even him half the time! he was a amazing.

  • @LoveOrBeHated Same with the Joker I had nvr seen Heath Ledger up to that point, i just thought the reason the joker had a great performance was because of the script and the direction. Rdj took a role which coulda been shit and flipped it. plus think about its way easier to scare somebody then to make somebody laugh

  • @jumpmanajf that was an amazing performance by Heath Ledger. i think the thing was the preparation for the role was intense. he locked himself in a hotel room for like a week practising the voice/laugh of The Joker. I've seen other Heath movies, and that was for sure one of his best. but yeah, the part RDJ played in Tropic Thunder would have been terrible if anybody else had played it. he was just eccentric enough to pull it off though :P

  • @LoveOrBeHated I never understood that like if u think about the joker never real did anything all that bad on screen its not like hannibal lector or jigsaw i thought maybe ppl hyped the whole role up , like his performance is terrifying in context in the entire movie

  • @jumpmanajf hmm yeah all he really did was be creepy. and then he died so it became his most memorable moment and everyone watched it who hadn't seen it, stuff like that. but the scenes he WAS in were amazing, i was so freaked out the first time i watched it, i couldn't finish the movie. then i watched it again and was fine haha but the first time is always the worst :P

  • @LoveOrBeHated I thought the reason his performance was so good was because he was in all the best scenes in the movie and the overall atmosphere. RDJ didn't have a great writer or direction or none of that shit he just kicked ass at a role that coulda ended his career

  • @jumpmanajf not necessarily. if a bunch of jail stints didn't end his career, one movie wouldn't have either. every actor has bad movies. although, i do agree he did exceptionally well given the circumstances

  • @LoveOrBeHated Well that jail shit with the fact this coulda easily been an offensive role woulda severly damaged it ask Mel Gibson

  • @jumpmanajf hmm very true. quite possibly could have been

  • I just love the (what it looks like) not meant smile!!!

  • ROTFL What you getting at with you Books Scripts, spit that shit out man! -eerie smile-

  • Hahaha
