i get goose bumps too..also i didn't realize it was about DINO...that's kool to know...this song is amazing all there music is..the 1band since beginning and probably till end with me..regardless if they stop making music will always follow me on my journeys
i hate the way that it just abruptly stops after the chorus and at the end. i can't really think of a more powerful transition out of the chorus into the verses but that one just kinda kills all the momentum for me.
@mlodylord666 - At this point in the band's career, they had "kicked" Dino out. Christian moved over onto Guitar and Byron from Strapping Young Lad took over on Bass. The song is actually about Dino, "The Infection has been removed." After Digimortal, the band fought about the direction it was headed, which Dino was a big part of. After he was out, they lost their contract on Roadrunner. This album was the first, post Dino era. Oddly enough, he's back but Christian & Raymond are out as of now.
@nosajmunson It is interesting what you write "The song is actually about Dino, "The Infection has been removed.". But I must disagree because what I read was that Dino wanted to evolve their music approach "to make more money" and this song is all about to evolve and "be better" to what I can make of it, and that if anything would not suit this song to Dinos approach to the band.
@JEKAZOL dude was being a huge asshole to them all, so they broke up. Then Christian and Raymond went to Burt with material for this album and he signed on. This is Fear Factory at their best :/
@nineinchnailsrock Thanks for the info. I'll have to catch up. I lost interest after the commercialism of Digimortal and recently bought mechanize, which is insanely good and heavy. There's a big gap of albums for me to explore now;)
Go Raymond!!

@nosajmunson But I see your point.. I just don´t like when bands make songs about former band mates. It seems childish to me.
Blastgrinder 10 months ago
@nosajmunson If the lyrics are about Dino then that's pretty low: Dirty washing in public.
