@Gurizin I'm aware of that disgusting fact. I still stand by what I said though, that Yao Man was the one redeeming thing about the season. He still is one of my fav survivors of all time. Also his credo (I think that's what he called it) is one of my favorite quotes, "Love many, trust few, do wrong to none." The world would be a lot better of a place if there were more people like that.

@Gurizin unfortunately, almost every cast member since season 6 has been recruited. it's jsut a fact of life theese days.

this season is quite enjoyabe imo. it get hated on alot, but it as a couple of big caracters and funny moments. with the odd good vote thrown in. my only problem with it, is the haves and have nots. that's just unfair.

@willybums88 It's weird because during the recap episode some seasons will show contestant's "application" videos (the videos they submit to apply for the show) and then after the show ends you realise its all fake.. example is Sugar from Gabon, I thought she was homeless and a vagrant from her video, but she was really a minor supporting actress for small films. And not to mention that every season now has at least 1 beauty queen, 1 attorney, and 1 former war veteran.

Weed...and yes Samoa. That season was TERRIBLE! It wasn't the cast though, it was the editing. You got to know 2 people, Russell and Shambo. Both of them are extremely unlikeable. More than half the cast was barely shown, and it was by no means a boring cast. It was just horrible editing.

Melissa Mcnulty was the supposed 20th contestant, but just before they were marooned, she had last minute hesitations which result into panic attacks. She virtually quit right before Day 1 started. Of course since it was dawn of day 1, it was too late for her to be replaced.

I will never understand why they think recruiting creates interesting results. Jeff Probst basically slammed this season after it was over. He ranks all the seasons in the new Entertainment Weekly and this one is 3rd last, only ahead of Marquesas (which he calls a "snoozer") and Thailand.
