  • She sounds like Taylor Swift.

  • I'm not sure I quite understand why regular shampoo kills the curls? Does it weigh it down or leave residue in it? And since you only do this once or twice a week what do you use in between? I use shampoo for curly hair..which was why I was asking. That and I'm sort of nervous. I'm really picky with my hair!

  • sounds good but what about apple cider vinegar rinse? Do you prefer not to use that?

  • Where do you get the coconut oil?

  • yu look lik lady gaga thts ssoooo kewl yu shuld b her 4 halloween

  • you dont look like taylor swift but you look sooooo much like her best friend abigail anderson :P

  • I love your hair... it would make the awesomest dreadlocks! :-)

  • you have beautiful hair and the color is nice

  • I have to ask since i live in a really hot hot HOT area and i sweat everyday. Would this still work and keep it clean leave your hair NOT smelling like sweat? Also how does this affect color treated hair?

  • @joystepho spray it in your scalp and use your fingers to loosen up the dirt and sweat. Do the same thing with conditioner on the days you dont do this. Its hard to convince your mind that your hair is clean if there are no soap suds but you have to get over that!

  • thanks to your videos tht I've been watching My hair changed a lot nevertheless, I just donated it to a girl who always wanted to have curly hair=) of course I show her your videos so she could take care of it but now as a wig. lol =)

  • do u use the whole bottle the times u do use your homemade shampoo?

  • @fireworkchick there's usually some left over when I'm done, but i just take the lid off and pour the rest over my head

  • i hope this isnt offensive but you remind me of the curly haired girl from the human centipede.... lol

  • @marzrocker1999 now why would you watch a movie like that? there are about a thousand other movies much better... pretty much any movie would be better. i was curious to see who you were talking about, but i looked it up and changed my mind.

  • @theshellest haha it was on demand so i watched it.. horrible movie.. lol..

  • your hair be nasty, hahaha!

  • THANK YOU for this video! While I use a slightly diff version ( less coconut oil and I seperate the b.soda from the vinager), it super cleans my hair and feels great. I actually do NOT co-wash at all either. I have been super pleased. I have seen other vids but because you have awesome curls I tried it and am thankful. No more over dried hair. thx!!!

  • Everyone here needs to research the "no-poo" method so they understand the effects and why people do use bakingsoda or other things to clean their hair instead of using shampoos. Still may not work for everyone I guess but I have only seen positive results from people cutting out shampoos.

  • i luv ur hair lol

  • how many times do you do this on the week. i heard you are supposed to do this once a week since it was a little drying

  • lol "uhmmm cuzzzz I have curly hair I HAVE TO >:("

  • why organic? why not just regular?

  • @sweatyss with organic it means you're only getting that ingredient in it's most natural state, you're not getting pesticides or other hidden ingredients used to "help"

  • and why use baking soda at all if it's going to dry your hair out. Would if you miss a spot with the coconut oil? Forget that part. B.Soda kills bacteria and removes residue so I'd probably want to do that once a month if anything.

  • @Frenes101 ps, i would like to take credit for this, but using baking soda on my hair wasn't my idea. i researched it and found tons of girls that were doing it so i tried it and liked the effect. have you tried it or are you assuming it won't work? just cuz it works on my hair doesn't mean it'll work on your hair either, so you're right. try something new and let me know, or make a video. we all have different hair so one way of doing things doesn't work for everyone. good luck.

  • Ok so is this suppose to be one of Taylor Swift's relatives? nice video but not enough. Using a regular conditioner between those 2 days a week cleaning cycle kind of defeats the whole purpose. The idea is stay away from the toxins altogether not poison yourself 5x a week and just clean it out the other 2. Sorry babycakes. I love your Southern sweet girl style but I have to give you thumbs down. Some ppl get stinky hair after one day of not washing daily don't fly sista.

  • @Frenes101 lol, i appreciate your opinion, but i still use the baking soda about once a week because of the buildup the conditioner and gel leave. have you ever tried just using conditioner every day to cleanse your hair? the only thing stopping you is your mind. you think it doesn't clean your hair but that's only because you're used to the shampoo stripping away the luster, shine and natural oils that your hair is supposed to keep to daily condition it.

  • @Frenes101 i do like the taylor swift comment though

  • She is funny and cute

  • @LightTamara lol, thanks

  • your hair doesn't get oily? My scalp gets really oily so i don't think just washing with conditioner would do very good...?

  • @sweetsmile1 my hair doesn't get oily. it couldn't hurt to give it a try.

  • Can I use this treatment without the baking soda?

  • @soccerxxlove7 definitely!

  • Hi! Thank for the tip!

I have a problem. I stopped using chemical shampoos but natural shampoos don't wash that well because I put oil in my scalp the night before I wash it. So,,, I wanted to know if this recipe wash REALLY well.

    Thanks again!

  • @GreyBillie why do you put oil in your hair the night before? is that to make it grow longer faster? i tried doing that once. the other night i tried putting 2 tablespoons of baking soda in 24 ounces of water and used that to wash my hair. i loved it! it cleaned my hair nicely. after i washed that out, i poured the apple cider vinegar on my hair. i had to add conditioner though, my hair's not used to it. but i love the baking soda! you just have to get used to it.

  • @csscsc1 lol i never thought of making my own deoderant

  • nice vid. im going to try this right now, just baking soda tho :)

  • @Knockturnall1 thanks! you can also try just the apple cider vinegar. i do that alot if i'm in a hurry.

  • two things.

    its really haaannddyy.

    and

    ...Forever

  • @razzy101 lol. i like that too
