Run to your library, borrow all the folk and protest folk songs from the 50s and 60s, and get a REAL history of what it all was and still is. Wikipedia's a poor source. Listen to ODETTA! Listen to PHIL OCHS. Listen to all these musical histories of the USA (and the rest of this damaged earth). I grew up around these people, thanks to my radical parents, and they helped develop me into an activist, too. Nice presentation, by the way! PEACE (THROUGH MUSIC)
