  • I think the reason you have so many dislikes is because so many people suck glock's dick.

    just sayin

  • OMG you are a bad shot,

  • should've gone w the 26. mine is flawless.

  • its a machine and things go wrong even to the best of them. your fine with this gun feel confident in its function and reliability. we have a couple five to be exact at my range that are almost 15 years old and have close to a million rounds through them and they just work even today its actually amazing.

  • Wouldn't a cheep gun feel just as crappy as the glock.I have a Beretta 90-TWO in .40 S&W. rhendrix093, you cock worshiping slug.

  • I just so happened he had a bad part. He got unlucky.

  • I don't own a Glock, never got past the clumsy awkward feel they have. And they look like crap.

  • @Gunnuts62 Well ill have you know ye lil Cheap fucker ive owned a glock 17 gen 4 for around 7 yrs. and its had well over a 1000 rnds. run through it and its still performing flawlessly your probably one of those hi-point or some other cheap made firearm lover.

  • @rhendrix093 The Gen 4 hasn't been around for 7 years. Maybe 3.

  • People have bad experiences with all firearm. I have a 27 and also a XD Sub .40 and have never had a problem with either. I love my XD more but its only because it was my first firearm. I think I would be very discouraged if either of my concealed weapons malfunctioned after 4 mags as well no matter what the reason.

  • @Detheroc420 Lol! I've heard that several times.

  • You sound like Officer Dangle.

  • @joecoool100 Lol, very true! Gotta keep them in business! Thanks for the comment

  • If guns didnt break there would be no gunsmiths in the world.......

  • @Sketch1994 It's a Gen 3 my friend

  • @tim12161974 I don't care.I was talking on gen 4s not the vid

  • All Gen 4 Glocks have that recoil spring problem.Though you can contact Glock and tell them your problem and you will get it replaced.Go Glock!

  • @TheHumangous If it was untrue we wouldn't see so many people bitchin about Glock 's fail or their "shitty" quality.

  • @Sketch1994 No, they don't.... They fixed it a few months ago. None of my gen 4's had it.

  • @RedTSquared Vid is partially on Glock's great CS, but also on how even a great firearm can fail. For me, I do not trust the plastic recoil spring assembly, therefore I switched to a stainless steel RSA, and flawless for the next 3000 rounds. Keep in mind, this video is 2 years old.

  • Okay, so, this is a video on Glock Customer Support! You said that with the new Recoil Spring it's been flawless and you're still unsure? Bang it for a couple hundred rounds and figure it out.

  • @NastyNole1 Ya know who is unsafe? Morons!

  • @NastyNole1 Facts are facts, anything man made WILL fail. Who cares about beauty, it's about reliability, and to make THIS firearm more reliable, replace plastic parts (RSA) with metal parts. If God gave you a brain, then that is the best weapon...PERIOD! And that was a gift

  • Sorry, Im not buyin it...I own a 27 and it is ULTRA reliable...For the money, there is no better weapon...I'm sick and tired of these Glock sob stories. They wont win a beauty contest, but they are tough, reliable and effective. Period.

  • nothings perfect buddy get over it.

  • @jigsaw183 I hear great things about the PPQ

  • @h0lehshyt That's why I use a stainless steel recoil spring assembly now

  • Beretta PX4 STORM.

  • the spring construction could be better to eliminate the overall risk of that happening

  • Buy a Walter PPQ Or a Valter as ze Germans would say LOL

  • @perevod3 Worked perfectly after I put in stainles steel recoil assembly. Rare what happened!

  • @partsmadeinbrasil I don't need to hear your family conversations.

  • Stick your dick in it, maybe then you'll get your satisfaction. Hows that sound boy?

  • Get over it, brother. Guns are just tools....they break sometimes. Glocks are great, especially for the price. Good luck with it for years to come!

  • i hate those two stage springs g22 one spring

  • WOW, I've never had a Glock fail on me. I'd be pissed as hell. That spring should have never made it past QC.

  • haha love the ending! that'll do it indeed

  • Have a look at the Video, "Zach blows out a glock 19".

Note how much flame is coming out of the ejection port.

It's Not, supposed to do that. Short Recoil, can be, too short.

    Glocks are WAY too short.

  • Just a bad part. Your not going to find a subcompact anywhere that is super accurate at any range. 2" group at 7 yards is perfect since you want to put at least 2 round into a fist sized section in the center of the chest and a shot to the center of the head. 2" let alone 4" should be good enough for that. You want accuracy then your going to want a 5" or larger barrel with a super soft trigger.

  • 90% of malfunctions are shooter induced. This is the exemption. Glock would fix that for free.

  • Get over it. Its a $7 part, should be replaced routinly anyway on that gun.

The .40s&w is pretty hard on the G26/27 platform, any pistol really.

Theres also several aftermarket springs available for it that have no plastic.

Mine has been flawless for many many rounds.

  • @Aerohunde I agree with him. If you're carrying something that you're depending on to save your life, a malfunction like this 4 mags in is disheartening. He wasn't complaining about the price of the recoil spring.

  • @MrStevo406 My point is that this is a silly bash of a great pistol that is widely regarded as one of the most reliable out there.

All of this is moot once that single part was replaced, meaning that pistol should get a factory fresh unbiased start in the trust department, especially since he replaced it with a aftermarket metal one.

Thats why I say get over it and nix the "Dissapointment" nonsense.

  • @Aerohunde I'm very picky with what I will carry to protect my life. Both concealed and for work. If any firearm I bought malfunctioned that quickly I would never carry it again. And yes I do own a 27 and also a 23 which I carry every day for work. Never had a problem with either. It's crazy how reliable most of these firearms are. If you're a gun person you've had a problem at one time or another and it got your blood boiling.

  • I have 4 Glocks, the 17, 22, 26 and 27 (4th Gen) and have had zero issues with any of them. Have fired hundreds of rounds through all of them. Only jams that have occured have been from others firing my guns and limp wristing it. Things like you described can happen to any firearm at any time.

That they sent you out two spring replacements to fix the problem should curb any disappointment. Sucks you got a gun with a part that failed, but the chances of it happening again are slim.

  • Big deal you got it fixed.glock. is the best gun out there and glock fixed it for you. Get over it.

  • @n2cycles Went with the stainless steel recoil spring assembly, and was perfect ever since.

  • @BrooklynXT1 Friends of mine who own them say the same.

  • @BrooklynXT1 Sig is a great firearm

  • @EquipaPatriot You wasted alot more time typing your comment.

  • @nubian1911 Thanks, and I agree. I do use stainless steel recoil spring assemblies now.

  • Hey Tim. I own the Glock 26, 27, and 30 (The 30 is my CCW) and I had a issue like that in my 30 and it was the spring. Glock is a solid pistol and I've been happy but as in all weapons there is bound to be a small issue of some sort. I wish you the best and don't stop loving the Glock. There is nothing like it.

  • 8 seconds of my life have been wasted watching another moronic gun owner safety check his firearm while recording. Hey, buddy.... safety check the damn handgun BEFORE recording and don't show it has already been safety checked. No one cares to waste their time watching you safety check it.

  • @EquipaPatriot Bullshit...he does a safety check because assholes just like yourself will cry like babies if they see him handle it without checking it. Morons like yourself are always looking for something to bitch about...just like you're doing in your comment.

  • Sigs are also better.

  • Springfield XDm is more reliable then a glock. I have never had a single jam or failure of any Springfield I have ever had and I put thousands of rounds through them.

  • get an hk, you'll feel a lot better

  • Informative video. I have several handguns 2 are glocks. One 2nd gen 19 purchased in 92 and has never malfunctioned in over 2k rounds. Can't say that about any of the 5 1911's I've had. Even revolvers can lock up when dirty or bad ammo. Shoot it enough to break it in and if you don't feel 100% confident with it don't carry it.

  • Glocks are Unsafe. Their "Short Recoil" is too short. They unlock too early. That's why it battered the crap out of the original assembly. Slide velocity is excessive.

Check your spent casings. If they are bulged, that gun still isn't right. Bulged cases are a sign of incipient case failure. Bulged cases are a sign of danger, regardless of whether anybody says "that's normal for a Glock".

    Glocks are Unsafe.

  • @InfidelArmee

    Bullshit...the operator is unsafe....

  • @NastyNole1, I hope you get a Baby Glock, .40S&W, and that you have unlimited ammunition for it.

  • good video and well done for making this clear for any body who has to carry Glock 27

  • who the hell uses OEM parts

  • @flabeachcomber I solved that problem, got a CZ 75B...just plain amazing.

  • @tim12161974 i almost got a cz but it was just tooooo nice. i wanted a conceal and carry and i think the nice grips would snag on something. if was was to carry in a shoulder holster i would have got the cz but i went for a rugar for waist band. once i get my back fixed i will most likely get the cz.

  • If you want to feel confident that the gun is going to work, every time, accurately, get a Beretta 92FS.

  • @cpercival02 The springs in the new mags just need to be broke in, loading and unloading the mags will loosen them up...just takes a little time. Will also help with racking the slide. Make sure you put @300 rounds or so through the gun to break it in properly. Keep it clean and well lubricated also.

  • @rockstar5t That's a shame to hear about your Ruger issues. I do recommend a stainless steel recoil spring for your 26 that is on order. I did that with my 27, no problems since.

  • i just got my 1st glock today and i have a ?...do you have a hard time loading your rounds in the magazines and do you have a hard time racking the slide or inserting the magazine when there are 9rounds in the mag? thanks for your help in advance.

  • Tim I feel your pain. I went through this crap with a Ruger LC9 that quit ejecting rounds fully after a few mags. I took it back, had it repaired then traded it in on an SR9c. About 300 rounds later the trigger assembly took a puke and it too went back to Ruger. I got it back and sold it, I swore off Rugers. It's a bummer seeing your video as I have a brand new G26 on order because of the great things i've heard about Glocks. Its got me thinking maybe I should stick to a revolver.

  • It isn't a Gen4. All baby Glocks have a dual spring RSA. As for CF and FF Glocks, only the Gen4 models come with the dual spring RSA. Even with that said, you can always purchase and install aftermarket RSA with the dual spring build for ANY generation Glocks. Never judge a Glock by its spring. ;)

  • All brands of firearms that I know of have experienced problems; and the "tupperware" brand is no exception! The problem I think is that all of the hype surrounding these pistols has far outweighed the reality of the brand. NOT saying that Glock isn't a good pistol, to each his/her own! I have shot a few (19/17) but have never even considered purchasing one after range time.Discloser dictates that I say that I'm a Beretta 92 guy

  • look's like a gen 4 spring to me all my glocks are gen 3 need to tell glock dont fix whats not broken but them did recall all gen 4 springs in the 1st year

  • all guns have failures. Some less than others

  • @LasagnaFreak True, it's a gen 3. Alot of people keep commenting that it's a Gen 4.

  • That's not a 4th gen, whatever idiot said that.

  • As you already stated they will replace it free. They will actually replace it even if you haven't had a problem. I have the same gun and have probably out 1000 rounds down range without any issues. That being said I am still going to have it replaced. I just have not called them yet. All this to simply say that this is a totally reliable gun. I have 2 S&W .38 J-frames, Ruger P89 9mm, Ruger Super Blackhawk 44.mag and my Glock 27 is still the one I carry most...

  • Sounds like good customer service on behalf of glock. You figure with anything mechanical something is bound to break or have a defect eventually what sets companies apart is how they correct the problem and them giving you not one but two new guide rod springs? Sounds like good customer service, I wouldn't bitch too much, congradulations on owning the finest firarm in you cache troll!!!!!!!

  • its a gen 4, they are doing a recall on those springs

  • @eljorge81005

    lol. wrong. nub.

  • Wow, you pissed off a lot of Glock Fanboys with this video. Good work! :)

  • Wow!!! That was a bad failure and I can understand being apprehensive about its reliability after such a failure! I'm the same way; I have a Springfield XDM and the past two times at the range I've encountered double feeding, one failure to go into battery, and on two occasions, for reasons I can't explain, the slide locks open while I still have half a magazine full of ammo...and I carry this on duty!!! Springfield said I was "limp writing" possibly (total BS) and sent another magazine to "try

  • that is not tooo bad. but I think Glocks are over rated by younger shooters due to the gang movies. if I was going to go strictly compact I would choose a Kel Tec PF9, better priced, with about $300 dollars more in pocket out the door when buying brand new.

  • Kel Tecs are Crap.

An Occasional Lemon with faulty parts (1 in 1000) sometimes happens in a Glock.

But in KT, its more like 1 in 50 and they are not Range guns, they break more easily than eggs in the kitchen.

I know of no Kel Tecs with 100,000+ rounds.

    Used Glocks are mid $300s

  • @StSimonMartyr fuck em both. I go in the middle with my Ruger P95. great price and a sturdy firearm.

  • @StSimonMartyr Where did you get this scientific study on the manufactured fault rate of both firearms? Send me a link on it. Thanks.

  • LOL! failures are going to happen IT WAS A BAD SPRING! I got a buddy with a brand new springfield and it prematurely locks the slide and he's put maybe 45rds through it. Most companies now are just as good as the other as long as you get a good name brand! All manufacturers will have random failures that doesnt mean their product is crap, it just means that one was bad!

  • THE GLOCK CAN BE DISAPPOINTED AT YOU BEFORE YOU ARE... this was a minor mistake,, my brand new G17L gave me many malfuctions feeding federal ammo replaced the recoil spring and it is AK reliable.. im at my 8th glock and i just cant stop collecting them

  • Over Rated Glocks.... Over priced Glocks...

  • @SlingBlade79 there like 500 dollars.

  • Two new springs? Nice. Sounds like their customer service is good.. I was going to buy a Glock 19 till I held one... tried the full size 17, compact, sub-compact.. all of them didn't fit my hand well at all.. felt awkward and unnatural. Ended up buying a Springfield XD45. Much more comfortable for me. But I may end up getting the 10mm Glock since 10's don't have much variety.

  • I avoid the gen 4; which is what looks like you have there; I prefer Gen3. My G17 has a single recoil spring; and I've heard mixed things about it, but mine is lovely.

  • now i was just wonderin if the problem isnt glock but maybe the dual spring system concept which is in more pistols than just glock

  • I dont care what others say, Glocks, Berettas, S&W's, Colts, Springfields and many many more manufactures guns all have problems. Some more than others. They are made of steel and plastic and every now and then you get a malfunction with a part.

  • that a Gen 4 right? that could be your problem

  • @twitchb6 no its a gen 3

  • Is it just me or does this guy sound like Lt. Dangle from Reno 911.

  • @px4286 Haha, yeah he definitely does.

  • Congrats, you got 1 in a million. You don't have to be all emo about it it.. its a gun it can break, and odd are if its going to happen its going to happen within 100 rounds.

  • Not a glock fan but all guns should go through a break in period to find flaws in the weapon system before you use it on duty or as a ccw. Glocks are good weapons but find what works for you by shooting and renting what you are going to buy. Most YouTube personalities that post videos have little to no experience shooting and manipulating weapons. Just a thought.

  • yeah corvettes new engines blow up sometimes..and yeah nothing is full proof...conceal carry or not..nothing is dam well know is gonna work..sorry

  • Love how people are so defensive. This video is pretty useful to anyone considering this pistol. The Church of Glock people can't stand to see anything negative said about their precious guns. Glocks have a great track record, but this is a design flaw people should be aware of.

  • If u buy a car and the engine stopped running and the manufacture replaced it with a working one, that doesnt meant that u are going to be 100% satisfied. So why would this scenario be any different with a pistol? The person posted this video has EVERY right to have lost faith, especially when his life may one day depend on it one day. Lesson learned, dont buy cheap guns. Get a Sig or H&K and use that plastic piece of shit for the only this its good for..a paper weight. Kel-Tec > Glock...fyi

  • @DirtMcGirt440 I had a Glock 23 break on me also. Slide fell right off. No more Glocks for me. SIG all day on duty and off.

    Shoot,Move.....Live!!

  • I own 4 different glocks and 2 of them are 27s. My glock 21 I have had for 12 years and have yet to have an issue after over 10,000 rounds. I'm sure you just happened to get a bumb spring. Glocks are very reliable and my primary carry is my 27. I hope you don't have any more issues and enjoy your 27.

  • D: that's scary.

i've had 300 rounds through my 23 with no problems. i hope it was just you having shitty luck lol.

  • While my 20 has been perfectly reliable for the last 12 years I can see that you'd feel let down about that. This actually puts me off the compact Glocks, the full size one has a very simple recoil spring arrangement. Infant mortality I suppose, but this shouldn't happen.

  • The gun breaking would shake my confidence as well, anyone saying other wise is full of it.

But I've had weapons malfunction/break it happens it just best to locate the problem fix it and solve the problem. Seems like you've done that. Trust me when I say it'll out last you TBH.

  • Not a good video

  • Terrible video

  • Better to be pissed off than pissed on!

  • Same issue happened to my 27. It's fixed now and I love it.

  • Good on you for testing the weapon before you elected to carry it. The Glock may now be completely trustworthy, but it will be awhile before you will probably feel that way.

  • Should have gotten a 1911.

  • Glocks are damn good weapons but everthing has a failure rate, I dont care what it is. Nothing is 100% all the time. Glad they made it right for you. Keep an extra rod/sprg around, thats what I do. I have 6Glocks and two are 27's. Damn good gun!

  • This video should have been named. Has this happened to your glock. And made it an educational piece and how great the customer service is from glock. Not the approach you took most people want to learn something when tunning into youtube not hear someone whinning. Could have been good but you blew it

  • What an idiot! If Glock made guns of the quality you make videos we would be using rubber band guns. Before I watched your video I did not "know" what you were going to say. I realized why I was so bored with your video when I re-watched it to find that you asked the question "you know?" 19 times in the first 4:35 of the video. Glock more than made the failure of the recoil spring right with you, and you say that the firearm has performed flawlessly for you since the spring was replaced.

  • Thanks for posting. I'm new to pitols and have been looking at the Glock 27. This video aids my learning curve.

  • What more do you want. Do you want your peter pampered? I mean I'd be pissed but satisfied after getting it fixed like yours is now.

  • I'd be pissed off 2.

  • useless video, sorry

  • That must have just been a lemon spring. At least Glock was nice enough to send you two replacements that haven't failed you yet.

  • U was just unlucky and ended up with the broke one...nothing is perfect

  • seems to me Glock stood up , quit your bitching

  • thanks for the update, Happy New Year

  • >glocks

  • It's a Gen 4 lots of people are having issues with the Gen 4, hope Glock helps you out on this issue please keep us posted, I want to know how good Glock's customer service is.

  • @mario3804 It's actually a Gen 3. U can tell from the mag release n the grip. The only problem with the Gen 4s were the G23 spring in the G19. But that problem has since been fixed.

  • <---same gun, same problem...

  • must've just being one out of a billiion...

  • I've owned 3 Glocks for over 15 years and I've never had a failure to feed or a malfunction with any of them. Your video comes across as whining.

  • I've carried the same G27 as a back-up / off-duty weapon for over 10 years...same recoil spring and never had a problem

  • Comment removed

  • You see, the Glock is equipped with a I'm in the hand of an idiot sensor. This sensor auto fouls the gun when in the hand of said idiot thereby insuring said idiot can do less damage to said idiot and the people around said idiot.

  • Stop whining, take a shooters course ( and some Prozac ) learn to shoot and the meaning of CQB !. It's not a SNIPER pistol !!!

  • When something has truly reached perfection, It can only go downhill from that point on. Thus you have Gen 4.

  • Glock is aware there is an issue with their gen 4 model recoil springs manufactured prior to 06/2011(I'm pretty sure I'm right on date). Send your old one back and they will send u a new one at no charge. The one in this video appears to be a gen 3. The greatest weapons in the world have had some bug here and there (ar15/m16 for starters). I think their track record and willingness to fix an issue speaks louder than anything. We could debate the whole sig vs glock vs hk vs Walther crap all day.

  • This has been happening to other Gen.4's also.

  • I actually laughed at that last part!

  • Google glockstore and get a stainless steel guide rod. Comes complete with the spring. Had accuracy problems with my G36 with an occasional failure to feed, apparently a recurring problem with the G36. The new rod fixed both problems.

  • Get over it, things break sometimes. You can trust your Glock.

  • Get a Walther P99/PPQ in .40 sw, you'll be happier :D. (sorry, but I really love my pistol)

  • A new recoil spring guide rod

  • Had same issue w my 27 after I bought it new in 1999. Never had a problem after Glock sent me a new one.

  • There can be problems with any pistols I have a xdm .40 and a glock .40 both are great but I like the glock better hands down. I along with many others trust my glock with my life.

  • As a defensive weapon I wouldn't trust it. I'd get an XD

  • @ned7O7 you obivously know nothing about glocks both Springfield and Glock build great weapons and you are trash talking Glock on the one feature that even Glock haters have to admit which is the amazzing reliabilty of them. If the FBI and CIA can use them aong with most local angencies well then its good enough for me.... You could easily buy any weapon from ANY manufacturer and have an issue with it

  • i seems u still have one of the old springs u should call glock and get the newer ones. There was a recall on the springs

  • Whoa whoa whoa, lemme get this straight. You're upset that it malfunctioned, I understand that. However, even after the spring popped the gun still fired. So a damaged Glock, which is rediculously rare, is still a reliable defensive weapon. All you did was make me want one.

  • Get a all American full metal design by browning a 1911 it'll fix all your malfunction problems oh! for concealment there perfect there pretty slim

  • Thats why you gotta go withan H&K, or an XD.

  • The issue isnt the gun. Its the person that owens it!

  • My 27 runs flawlessly........as does my buddies and his buddies and so forth. You got the the exception rather than the rule.

  • Glocks don't have fully supported chambers like sig , or even H&K, thats why it eats everything you feed it.

  • Guide spring..

  • I hear that the .40 is not 100 % reliable...better in 9mm or ,45..

  • @sonikue23 I got over 12 thousand rounds through my g27 in the past 5-6 years and never had a failure of anykind. All different types of ammo. Only thing I changed was the mag springs in the originals that came with gun and I did that about 2 years ago. Gun runs excellent and eats everything.

  • @pjicleanair420 i guess every perfection could sometimes get fucked up...

  • Glock had some quality control issues with their Springs, everyone jumped down their throat - and they fixed the problems asap.

12gauge puts out a nice tight group at that range ^.^

  • the spring lost its action

  • a sig would solve your problem

  • Every gun malfunctions. even if it only malfunctions one in its life time every gun will malfunction. I use to have a Glock 21 .45 and the only time it malfunctioned was when a girl shot it..... They would baby the slide when chambering a round. But it did malfunction once when I didnt clean it for a few days or a week.

  • Always run your new gun for several hundred rounds with the rounds you plan to carry. This serves two obvious purposes. My g27 has been my carry piece for over 4 years and I have total confidence in it.

  • my brand new noveske jammed every three shots when i got it. turns out there was a problem with my recoil spring. sending me into a spinning world of fury and pissed off i have never been in before in my life.

  • Glocks are junk guns. Return it and get a real gun...a Sig or an HK.

  • i love corvettes so plz dont compair it to a glock

  • I'll give you $50 for it and help you out...
