To taste a great taco you need to go to mexico, 'cuz i have noticed that the mexican or any other restaurant that make tacos always put or add too much ingredients to the taco when basicly it's just tortilla beef cilantro onions and salsa green or red i know it dosn't sound THAT taesty but if you go to mexico thouse tacos taest like heaven

So I was born in Tucson but I grew up in Phoenix (I still live here). Most of my family lives in Tucson. My parents are divorced and my dad took me to Tucson every other weekend from 1991-2002 (from when I was 7 till I was 18). Anyway I've been to Eeeges and Los Beto's why haven't I heard of this place? I consider Tucson my 2nd home and know the town well. Did it come after 2002? Where is this place? I must go there next time I'm in town.

my nana lives on like Plumber & 18th street (near U of A), my grandma lives on Liberty and like Drexel (near Sunnyside High School) and my dad lives near Davis Manthan Air Force Base. Is this place close to any of those places? I was this place on Food Network on 101 Best Places To Chowdown. Phoenix needs a place like that.

Hey man,

Honestly, the best Mexican food is on the South Side, and 12th Avenue...if you're not from around here, those areas might seem "sketchy," but if you go in the daytime, you should be fine. I'm there all the time...for the past 15 years...I've never seen anything bad go down.

If do wanna stay North of downtown, try Aqui Con El Nene, it's a stand at Flowing Wells and Wetmore (I think). I did a review there. Good stuff!

Also Dub, if you get a chance, swing by the new joint on Wilmot called "El Taco Tote" You will dig it since you like Carne Asada, they actually GRILL it there! Instead of frying it like most places. Plus delicious home-made grilled tortillas and a huge, fresh topping bar!
