Stock for stock a RS4 also beats a mustang GT at the drag. Stock RS4 does the 1/4 in 12.8. Mustang GT stock doesn't even break into the low 13s. I don't like the new mustangs to much, but I think the mach1 from the previous generation was the best of the newer mustangs.
As for the race; well no doubt the mustang is faster, but i dont think the audi is slow, considering it has a 4.2L with 420bhp. The mustang definitely has some power adders.

A proffesional drive will still have to slip the clutch on a mustang and eas it out of the hole or the car will just turn the tires. My niece could launch the Audi and turn a good 60ft. Yes the numbers in your car and driver say 13.6. Real world Justin Burcham (look it up) turned a 13.2 in a bone stock mustang GT after figuring out how to launch the thing. Audi faster? or is it the all wheel drive that gives it the advantage..

A professional driving a 200 hp car can beat some joker driving a 300 hp car around a track. However, we are talking about the cars. With equal drivers, the audi is a better car than the mustang. Of course the audi costs much more, but audi's only goal isn't just making a car fast. It handles amazing, good styling, good interior and is fast.

i drive a 2001.5 audi s4 stage 2. You are right, my opinion doesn't mean anything on youtube. I think the audi looks better. I don't dislike the mustangs looks. I really liked that body style when it first came out, but now it is just too common. I hate cars that you see every thirty seconds when driving down the road. To each their own right? But I still think, wait KNOW that .4 seconds is a big difference in a 1/4 mile(as long as one driver doesn't suck) :)

Its not keeping up. It accelerates hard away from the RS4, then the RS4 bolts back up beside it. Neither of these cars were ever giving full throttle at the same time. Stang and S4 might be close, but the RS4 will pull away I assure you.

One was built and designed to seriously high standards and handles (for the Americans here that means it goes round corners fast too), the other has horse and cart suspension and breaks down regularly. If Audi's v8's are so much better then fords how come the new 4.2 v8 in the new r8 has 420 hp and does 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, as advertised by Audi. Then you have a car like the 03/04 mach 1. hmm With it's "outdated" 4.6 v8 does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds with only 4.7 seconds.
Maybe. The Mustang still has a higher-displacement engine that puts out less hp. The RS4/R8 make 100hp per liter. If the Mustang had an engine that was designed to that degree, it should be making 460hp from that 4.6 V8.

The GT40 has a great V8, the Z06 has a great V8, and the Viper also has a great V8. American V8's normally go the N/A approach which is why they are so big, while many euro V8's use a super chargers or turbo chargers.

My guess is that you either edited this to make it look better for you or you saw an B7 A4 or even S4 with RS4 replica wheels on the freeway because that looks alot like my B7 A4(with rs4 wheels) and looks about how much I would be beaten if I raced a v8.
Swap the trans for a Viper T56 its $5000 saw it in MM&FF magazine, seems as though you you already put a considerable amount of money into the car whats $5000, you might have to spend it anyway when all that power eats the trans lol nice race btw RS4 got owned
My $5k isn't going to the trans I'm plannin on a Kenne Bell supercharger, reason I said that is because of your comment about running out of gear. That $5k kit is a complete swap kit with new trans crossmember and shifter and everything you need to do the swap. You could always find a used one. Plus that trans would take a hell of a lot more torque than the stocker.
im fine with running out of gear at 120 or 125. Thats exactly where i wanna be to get that mph in the 1/4. If i wanted more gear id get 373 or put my stock 355's back

I've got a couple friends who have either got a little crazy with nitrous or boost and the result wasn't pretty. If I get a KB blower I'll go with 8.5 psi which is safe that is until there is a little something called an Eagle stroker kit which means about 15-16 psi and a 550 rwhp and low 11 second quarter hell yeah
I'm thinkin the way to go is to buy the stoker kit w/forged dish pistons, forged h-beam rods and forged crank and i dont know whether to get the block bored out to a 302 or keep it at a 281. I'd like to keep the cylinder walls as thick as possible so maybe keep it at a 281. The maybe go with FRPP ported cylinder heads and a more agressive cam god it never ends haha

According to an article by EVO based from their lap times a Roush Mustang or a Mustang GT with Roush suspension can corner as quick as an RS4. The Roush 415BHP Mustang beats the RS4 around Bedford Autodrome and thats proper timed laps with the same driver. So yeah the new Mustang with about $1000 of suspension mods can corner just as well as an RS4.

I don't like the new mustangs to much, but I think the mach1 from the previous generation was the best of the newer mustangs.
As for the race; well no doubt the mustang is faster, but i dont think the audi is slow, considering it has a 4.2L with 420bhp. The mustang definitely has some power adders.

the audi r8 v10 is not a production car yet, u can not buy it in a dealer and the Shelby gt500 super snake that pumps out 725hp would definitely kill any audi in a straight line
along with the Ford GT that makes 550hp and is SO light. That car was made to be a Ferrari killer so i think audi's wont be a challenge.

You are correct in some of your assumptions...but this is real world. A proffesional drive will still have to slip the clutch on a mustang and eas it out of the hole or the car will just turn the tires. My niece could launch the Audi and turn a good 60ft. Yes the numbers in your car and driver say 13.6. Real world Justin Burcham (look it up) turned a 13.2 in a bone stock mustang GT after figuring out how to launch the thing. Audi faster? or is it the all wheel drive that gives it the advantage..

I'm not sure why you keep talking about the drivers. Of course a good driver can beat a bad driver with a faster car. A professional driving a 200 hp car can beat some joker driving a 300 hp car around a track. However, we are talking about the cars. With equal drivers, the audi is a better car than the mustang. Of course the audi costs much more, but audi's only goal isn't just making a car fast. It handles amazing, good styling, good interior and is fast.

i drive a 2001.5 audi s4 stage 2. You are right, my opinion doesn't mean anything on youtube. I think the audi looks better. I don't dislike the mustangs looks. I really liked that body style when it first came out, but now it is just too common. I hate cars that you see every thirty seconds when driving down the road. To each their own right? But I still think, wait KNOW that .4 seconds is a big difference in a 1/4 mile(as long as one driver doesn't suck) :)

Its not keeping up. It accelerates hard away from the RS4, then the RS4 bolts back up beside it. Neither of these cars were ever giving full throttle at the same time. Stang and S4 might be close, but the RS4 will pull away I assure you.

How anyone can compare these 2 cars is laughable. One is a piece of quality engineering and one is a piece of shit. One was built and designed to seriously high standards and handles (for the Americans here that means it goes round corners fast too), the other has horse and cart suspension and breaks down regularly. So with equal reaction times, the audi rs4 beats the mustang by .4 seconds. A quarter mile is 1320ft right? So if you run a 1/4 in 13.2, you are averaging 100 feet per second right? .4 seconds at 100 feet per second is 40 feet right? Of course, the last 100 feet is covered the fastest, which would be......

If you don't think .4 seconds while going 110 or 120 miles per hour is a big difference then you CLEARLY haven't been to a drag strip. as far as outdated, no it's not outdated. It is just a consistent formula that has worked for years. Thats why the mustang sells. If Audi's v8's are so much better then fords how come the new 4.2 v8 in the new r8 has 420 hp and does 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, as advertised by Audi. Then you have a car like the 03/04 mach 1. hmm With it's "outdated" 4.6 v8 does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds with only 4.7 seconds.

Maybe. The Mustang still has a higher-displacement engine that puts out less hp. The RS4/R8 make 100hp per liter. If the Mustang had an engine that was designed to that degree, it should be making 460hp from that 4.6 V8.

The GT40 has a great V8, the Z06 has a great V8, and the Viper also has a great V8. American V8's normally go the N/A approach which is why they are so big, while many euro V8's use a super chargers or turbo chargers.

Nice! And by the way, with a few suspension mods the stang could dominate through the corners as well. But we all know any car can out perform any other car with the right amount of money. But there's no denying that the mustang is pure sex.

That's rich, coming form a yank that lives and drives in the land of the automatic car. I am much more impressed by the people who get over 450hp out of a 4cylinder. As for the shifting, I have never owned anything but manual cars. I want to see you and your rs4 buddy and your daddy's Porsche doing from start-still drags. You can't see anything from your current clip.

Im sure if you spent an extra 10or20k and it would be as fast as a Ferrari but it wouldn't be anywhere close to one. My guess is that you either edited this to make it look better for you or you saw an B7 A4 or even S4 with RS4 replica wheels on the freeway because that looks alot like my B7 A4(with rs4 wheels) and looks about how much I would be beaten if I raced a v8.

Swap the trans for a Viper T56 its $5000 saw it in MM&FF magazine, seems as though you you already put a considerable amount of money into the car whats $5000, you might have to spend it anyway when all that power eats the trans lol nice race btw RS4 got owned

My $5k isn't going to the trans I'm plannin on a Kenne Bell supercharger, reason I said that is because of your comment about running out of gear. That $5k kit is a complete swap kit with new trans crossmember and shifter and everything you need to do the swap. You could always find a used one. Plus that trans would take a hell of a lot more torque than the stocker.

Well, its got cooled vortech making 10.5 psi, Jba long tubes without cats, Magnaflow ab, steeda cmpd, frpp 410's, aluminuim driveshaft, hurst, sct custom tune, che k member brace, che anti squats, che lca's, steeda uca, hr srpings in front and coil over in the rear, 20 inch foose nitrous with kdw's
The list goes on and on. I figured id leave out the cosmetics and interior mods

I've got a couple friends who have either got a little crazy with nitrous or boost and the result wasn't pretty. If I get a KB blower I'll go with 8.5 psi which is safe that is until there is a little something called an Eagle stroker kit which means about 15-16 psi and a 550 rwhp and low 11 second quarter hell yeah

I'm thinkin the way to go is to buy the stoker kit w/forged dish pistons, forged h-beam rods and forged crank and i dont know whether to get the block bored out to a 302 or keep it at a 281. I'd like to keep the cylinder walls as thick as possible so maybe keep it at a 281. The maybe go with FRPP ported cylinder heads and a more agressive cam god it never ends haha

According to an article by EVO based from their lap times a Roush Mustang or a Mustang GT with Roush suspension can corner as quick as an RS4. The Roush 415BHP Mustang beats the RS4 around Bedford Autodrome and thats proper timed laps with the same driver. So yeah the new Mustang with about $1000 of suspension mods can corner just as well as an RS4.
