I have question, did you try to take off joystick to change it? Is it possible to change joystick without any soldering? My friend took apart his K750i and he said that it doesn't look like it's changeable part. But since you can buy this part it must changeable, the only question that remains is do I need to solder it (it would a huge problem) or can you just change it like keyboard? I have problem with joystick in my K750i, don't know if there's any sense in buying a new one, so please answer.

@SenpaiAndChi Well the joystick is soldered down to the mainboard on the phone. The only way to replace it is to unsolder the old one and solder the new one on. It's very hard to do and you need the right equipment. You can also change the whole mainboard but that doesn't give any sence. So yes you need to solder.

Thanks, man! Good description and now it works again!!! It took some time until it got better and it increases continuously! One Tip: Instead of a syringe I used a small rolled sheet of paper, let it suck some oil and then poured onto the wholes, was fine!!

Only one thing to be safe: a needle without the syringe is enough to pick up a drop of oil and drop it in the joystick's holes. That way no danger to spill oil in the cellphone. Kind regards, Paul

You can use Isopropilic Alcohol instead of oil. Put isopropilic into the joystick, move the joystick agressively in all directions and repeat this cycle 2-3 times. You won't have problems with the joystick for a looooong amount of time. I did this on my w800i.

This way you, the phone and the table won't get greasy.

PS: It's break so easy, not brake so easy (use a dictionary or google translate and find out for yourself)

I used a slightly less accurate method, I sprayed the joystick with WD40 using the supplied straw, once I got the phone apart.

Man, I've used air dusters, oil, contact cleaner..nothing works. In the end i pulled the joystick contact off the board which is probably the best thing for it. If I can get the replacement part I could probably solder a new joystick back on.

I just followed the instructions and it worked the second time I did it - I think that the first time I did it, I was to conservative with the oil and didn't put it in the corners on the joystick.

Another point I would like to add is that with the k750i there is no need to take it apart to get to the joystick. Just pry off the metal plate around the keys, it is held on with a weak gum like glue. The metal plate is just a facade. Remove the joystick knob with some needlenose pliers. Glue the metal plate back when done. I know I need to get inside to replace the whole mechanism, ideas how to replace it?

Allright! This worked perfectly. I didn't use oil, but a multiuse spray ("556") instead. Also known as WD-40. Didn't use a syringe either, but pointed the spraybox right next to the joystik as shown in the video. Thanks a lot for the tip! (I've used the phone 5 days now without any problems).
