  • beyonce even has a song called creole and she says yellow bone, redbone, and brownbone, there are some light skin haitians but the majority are black. for further info look up the cane river creoles of louisiana and then you will know, creoles in louisiana are prejudice and wouldn't want to deal with darkskinned haitians.

  • @OYXGENISMUSIC yea creoles in louisiana are prejudice. Most people don't want to admit this. It's not as bad when my family was younger tho. I'm a caramel skin color and sometimes your still not light enough.

  • @ randomlinda14, again beyonce is not haitian in louisiana creole is who you are its not referred to as only a language, because in louisiana there are also white people there who are cajun french and they speak broken french too so i guess next haitians will be saying they are haitian too???

  • @mr. dominican-in this video she specifically says that she can'tcspeak the language this man tell her what to say and she doesn't even say it right. and yes it is haitian creole because the man is haitian so of course he is going to teach her what he knows duh!!!!

  • @OYXGENISMUSIC Hey check my channel and watch all 4 part videos. Most Haitians are not dark. There are 21 flavors. By the way, Haitians and Louisiana Creole are related more then you would like to know.

    look it up.

  • French Creole, from Lousiana representin ! :)

  • her dad is not from the bahama's! he's american from alabama! get it right

  • She's not hatian. She's Louisiana Creole, I think lol. but Not hatian

  • the only successful black people are the ones that look euro-centric? u not in touch with reality. check yourself. what about oprah, micheal jordan, kobe bryant, jay-z and the list goes on. do they look euro-centric?

  • Geez she is NOT HAITIAN. she is louisiana Creole

  • The creole spoken in this video is haitian creole- Beyonce's mother is creole and her father is from the Bahamas.

  • PPl always git something to say about a crazy creole& When they figure out what u are they say negative ish! I'm red skinned like orangey sandy reddish hair & european features w/ a crazy looking family! My siblings & my kids are high yella & it doesn't make me none Creole & proud!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They speak just about the same Creole in Louisiana, but they dont say "Sac passe" a more modern Haitian term for "whats happening?" . Haiti has a much stronger influence on their culture then the French do.

  • You know back in the days... People who were of European decent, but born in the kolonies, were called creole!! creole were the white peopel born in the kolenies.. you had them in north america and latin america. Lousiana creole/french creole were white people from french descent. True the years african people(black slaves) born in the kolonies also were called creole. So being creole doesn't mean you are haitian!! just so you all know!! You have creoles in Brazil, Surinam, USA and many more!!

  • I thought creole was a language you speak, not what you are? lol.

  • that reporter is missing some brain cells. being "creole" does not refer to speaking creole language. she is creole because of her multicultural background of french, african american etc. also, there are different dialect of the creole language so "sak pase - nap boule" may not be used in someone else's dialect of creole. He needs to do his research UGH!!! how embarassing?

  • ya crazy. beyonce could care less about ya!

  • Haitian Revolution was a turning point in history, the repercussions of which extended far beyond the small island nation. Perhaps nowhere was its impact greater than in the United States, where Haiti's slave revolt figured directly in two of the most significant events in United States history: the Louisiana Purchase and the American Civil War.

    SuperBlackVelvet

  • So very true!!!!!!!! And when the British took control of Canada and exiled the Acadians to the Louisiana Territory, the two cultures mixed with extraordinary results! For those who know anything Louisiana is a very special state, and New Orleans a very special city. However sadly, they have been neglected and lumped together as part of the "Deep South", and all that has entailed socially, politically and economically.

  • Louisiana and her Caribbean parent colony developed intimate links during the eighteenth century, centered on maritime trade, the exchange of capital and information, and the migration of colonists. From such beginnings, Haitians exerted a profound influence on Louisiana's politics, people, religion, and culture.

  • You see, It doesn't matter if your from Haiti Or Louisiana's, we are one blood. African Blood. Haiti don't have to claim on any celebrities to make her stand out. Haiti is a celebrity of great stature. Her courage, the strenght of her people, her culture, her place and her contribution in world history makes her a celebrity.

  • I have always recognized the worrior in Beyonce was too far greater than most. The bloodline speak for itself.

    Much love B,

    Star Morisseau

  • Hey Hey Hey.... this is cool. Beyonce is haitian not creole. Hahaha. Creole is the language haitians speak. I'm haitian myself. That is so cool. Beyonce is awesome.

  • Haitians are ethnic French Creole Gen de Colour Libre.

  • Naw......she doesn't walk like a model! she walk like En Vogue.........give credit to them!!

  • you're all wrong beyonces mother is creole while the father is african american so that make her more african american then creole.

  • @tenuta134 No, have you seen Beyonce's dad? He has defined nose, Caucasian skull, he looks like Arab. Dark skin doesn't make you Black/Negroid. Beyonce's mother on the other hand looks like typical quadroon, she's practically a White women. Beyonce looks like a typical Creole to me. Small nose, mixed-looking face, light hair, light eyes...

  • PEOPLE LISTEN.........Enslaved blacks who were native-born also began to be referred to as Creole, to distinguish them from new African arrivals. Over time, the black Créoles and Africans created a French and West African hybrid language called Créole French or Louisiana Creole French. It was used in some circumstances by slaves, planters and free people of color alike. The grammar of Louisiana Creole is very similar to that of Haitian Creole

  • If beyonce truly was atleast 10 percent haitian, she would have known what sak pase, na boule cuz even non islanders know and heard of that phrase! She never even heard of the phrase! She isnt haitian one bit! Just American Creole!

  • That previous response was for "haitianluv10" who responded to my comment and obviously knows nothing about Louisiana History or Louisiana Creoles whatsoever. Peace Out.

  • Listen what did i say? I did not say all creoles are of haitian blood! so you should really think before you speak. I simply said most creoles are of haitian blood there is many of them from different french speaking islands and countries. so at the end of the day purpleknightmom were all black!!!!

  • Haitian Creole and Louisiana Creoles are the same people basically. See this video:::: /watch?v=haDM83oa9Dk

  • and stop worshiping beyonce. she is a manufactured barbie doll. she's a fake and it shows.

and underneath the drag queen make up and lace front wig is an average looking black girl - nothing special.

  • you people argue for nonsense. lol. get a life. lol

  • this is all bull shits, I don't kncok her for not being able tfor not being able to speak creole but why d Haitians make a such a big deal to the fact she speaks creole or not.. she does not speak creole.

  • wow this is so ridiculous why can't people be happy about there own. Beyonce is Louisiana Creole. I understand she is beautiful but people need to stop claiming others that just lets me know people can't be to proud of their own history.

  • I am Haitian, but unfortunately i don't know what so cool or funny about Beyonce speaking creole,,,she said a word in creole...oookayyyy...so what?its like its the miracle of the year, the miracle of the year happened since january ppl???

  • @debbiegirl9 FOREAL!!!!

  • im creol too!

  • and now what? u ppl aren't niggers anymore? :))) u are "creole". get real!

  • look u racist prick. first do not use the N, it just makes you look like the ignorant bitch that you are. And secondly, creole is a mixture of african, french, spanish, and native america, its a language and a culture. My uncles speak creole and I think its beautiful. I never denied my blackness. The only reason cultures like "creole" exist is becuz your ancestors raped and stole from mine, creating the mixtures of cultures that we have today. so shut the fuck up and go learn some history.

  • @luvjandro22

it wasnt just rape a lot of the generals married ethnic women and had kids with them so dont even go there your overgeneralising like the other person was.

  • @xXXBrokenByLovexXx, I know that but im talking about during slave times. Trust me none of the masters married there black slaves. And i am not overgenralising, thats just the sad truth.

  • @luvjandro22 i just hate the way u black ppl think! u cry all over that white ppl like me offend u and u wish in ur head that u were white! and then, when this beyonce girl comes out and shouts that she is a mother fucker "creole"... u go out and shout that yeeesss u r tooooo!!! omg, i just realised after 20, 30, 40... whatever... how many years... that i am creole! that's super! don't u see? if a nigger in the hood was proud of being creole, u wouldn't be so proud to joing him, i'm telling u.

  • @TheUberDoll You dont know me at all and you are claiming you know who I am. Ive known about my heritage sense i was very youg, and most creoles are black you DUMBASS. You dont even know what it means, so please do not talk about it untill u learn something. Open a book for once in your life. I AM PROUD TO BE BLACK, and beyonce has nothing to do with me loving the LANGUAGE AND CULTURE of creoles. It has nothing to do with the "race". Your just sad& pathetic. I feel sorry 4 u.

  • i am not attacking anyone u stupid! and i don't give a shit about ur invented heritage! since when r u creole? stupid fuck! shut the fuck up and don't tell me about ur shit creole heritage 'cause i don't fucking care! u r just black ppl to me. stop the creole thing! u r black!

  • u stupid, u just said what i've already said! all black ppl CLAIM they are creole :)) no... ur just black. u fucker

  • @TheUberDoll most ppl claim dey creole..i know for a fact im creole.i qot it in my blood :] and i LOVE it!

  • @TheUberDoll...I am done with this conversaton. You obviously have some serious mental issues, and cannot comprehend anything. I hope you get the help that you need:)

  • right back @luvjandro... i don't give a shit about ur so called heritage and fucked culture. go back to ur drums in africa! :)) and u have a big "ignore" next!

  • @TheUberDoll also, I would never ever wish I was white. Although white people do have there advantages in this world, I wouldnt change my color of skin for anything. Maybe your the one with the insecurites....attacking me, simply becuz i said I was creole.

  • @TheUberDoll Being a creole means u are a beautiful or handsome black.Haitians are also called Creole. And please, like my friend said to you above,u really need to check some history.Niggers...seriously...Niggers? U need to get real, open ur eyes, the whole world is surrounded with what u call Niggers now,so open ur eyes,u really need to get real,if ur not some kind of kkk

  • I think her and Usher both are dumb for being ashamed of us. Just like Tiger Woods didn't he want to say he's black.

  • @KashaCandy Beyonce is probably of Haitian descent but that does not make her Haitian. Im of Saint Domingue descent of Haitians that migrated to Philadelphia in the late 1790s. It is why I have a French last name and thats why I am intrigued about the history and culture. I am mixed of a lot of things but I consider myself a white American. I do not think Usher is Haitian.

  • i AGREE WITH YOU ANGRYGUMBALL, MOST PPL DON'T UNDASTAND HOW DIVERSE THE HAITIAN CULTURE IS. tHERE WHERE MANY WHITE HAITIANS COMING FROM HAITI AT THAT TIME. And Yes ,Usher is not Haitian. LOL

  • It's all Haitien to me. I have an American mom and my dad is from Haiti, Im proud to say Im Haitien. The country has problems doesn't make Haitiens less then others. Where I've visit in Haiti is so beautiful, I never wanted to leave. The folks for most part are good beautiful people. I learn alot when I visited. If Beyonce, Usher or anyone wants to be ashamed, F*ck them, they dont know what they're missing. Im sick of them both, there was always something phoney about them. Im right about this

  • haha no actually you're dead wrong on Beyonces part!! She is not not haitian she's Louisiana creole so get the hell over it!!!

  • I dont give a flying f about this girl. She aint nothing but a puppet anyway. People who are smart know what Im talking about.

  • no, the dumbass conceited ones do!!! however smart and intelligent people like myself who knows greatness when they see it don't!!!!!!!!!!

  • Look, sorry I didnt realize you're a big fan of hers. She IS great, but she doesnt speak from the heart. She seems to only say the right thing instead of what she wants to say. Believe me, I know what Im talking about. I seen this kind of personality plenty of times. She needs to be herself fully. Maybe she should just be that Sasha personality full time, that one look like she'll tell somebody OFF! lol You might try to say she just a nice girl but even nice girls dont agree with EVERYTHING

  • @Beyoncefan1000, Honey just give it up. People believe what they want to believe and try to rewrite history. Don't waste your time. There are too many archives in my city to be arguing over what are documented facts. Some people want to be right no matter what...fine with me. All I say is, come to New Orleans and check out all of the history on your own...it's all there in the Quarters..original documents are there.

  • I understand you KashaCandy. HollyWood likes her because she is light skinned and she straightens the Heck out of her hair. And for a while she had the blond thing going. She is "White-Americas" idea of what an African decent woman should be. And, instead of specking out about the social and economical situation of her people she puts on a fake smile and shows out on the Red carpet. Thats what makes her a ''PUPPET". And all African Americans of the United States know it....

  • Finally someone gets what I've been trying to say.

  • Wow! really, i didn't know that beyonce was one your elected officials.

  • @Pyron3002 Exactly. Beyonce is an international superstar, because she appeals to international White audience as well as to colored one. Why do you think she got 2 nosejobs and wears blonde wigs (the color suits her more than dark, but it doesnt matter)?

  • This problem appears not only with Beyonce. The only succesful Black people are the ones who look eurocentric. Got tanned skin and full lips - those are the features that Europeans admire - but have defined noses and straight hair. Another example: Naomi Campbell, Ashanti, Halle Berry

  • TRUTH

  • @Beyoncefan1000

excuse, could i ask what a louisiana creole?

  • it's Haitian creole

  • @Beyoncefan1000 She is Louisiana Creole but the point I've been trying to make is that most Louisiana Creoles are of Haitian back dicsent.

  • If your so "sick" of Usher and Beyonc hen why are you all up on her videos?Bitch kick rocks ad keep it moving because NEITHER one of them are Haitian,or Cerole so ge a lifE,THERE B.L.A.C.K.

  • Google the Haitian Monument in Georgia and Jean-Baptiste Point du Sable who founded the city of Chicago and learn.

  • ppl! creole is the color of skin!

  • Beyonkie ass can barely speak proper English and creole is not a language. Creole is of Spanish and French decent, originated in the 1800 when generalizing the colonies. Beyonkies momma is "Of" creole decent..."Of" which means she's not creole herself. Therefore Beyonky and Solanges asses are both Black all day long, but if you ask Beyonkie, she'll tell you any damn thing.

  • no its a language and culture

  • To my conclusion the word CREOLE is just a race issue. In my understanding of the way america was so racist back in those days, they used the word creole to refer to a haitian person rather to just simply call them haitian, espically if you were a haitian of european descent. Being that most haitians were looked down upon because haiti was the first freed black country in the westeren hemishepre.

  • Angrygumball

No one is hating Haitians, at least, I'm not. But, I do know my history, more importantly, my family history. My grandfather was born in 1875 so, I was able to trace my "creole roots" well. Here in Louisiana, we are not creoles due to the Haitian immigration(1809). Black creoles had been in Louisiana long before that. Just look up the definition of a Louisiana Creole. Now, I can't make you see what you don't want to..but, it doesn't change what's true.

  • @purpleknightmom Please show me a record of mass migration from France to any of the 50 states of The USA and I will be proven wrong. More then 9/10th of the French speaking population either came from Canada or Saint Domingue.

  • Ok this is my last time here for that "angry" person. The Haitians came to New Orleans in 1809, by the time they arrived Afro-Creoles WERE ALREADY WELL ESTABLISHED in Louisiana. That is why Creoles(black and white) here are of European,Spanish or Native American descent. Not Hati

  • First of all, dat is not neccessarily true, you don't really know how many haitians had immigrated to america before that, 1804 HAITI became liberal so before that you don't know how many haitians were being shipped off and sold as salves in america.

  • Sorry but, uhh, yeah...it's true. We, the members of LA Creoles have done extensive research on it...But I'm only from New Orleans, LA and have been Creole almost 50 years.... have studied Louisiana History as well. How much LA history do you ACTUALLY know? Some of you hatians need to get off the trip...CREOLES HERE HAVE NO HAITIAN BLOOD. Stop taking it so personal...you can't change history.

  • @purpleknightmom I thought you said they came there in "1809". Did they not have children?

  • @haitianluv10 French populated New Orleans through Saint Domingue and Quebec. No one in France had dream of chasing their dreams in plantaions of New Orleans until 1804.

  • @purpleknightmom

1809 only? Dude I am sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about.

  • @purpleknightmom The term créole is born on saint-domingue wich is the name they use to call haiti. Créole people that came from haiti were black, mixte and white.

  • beyonce is Lousiana Creole!!!!!!!!!

  • what is creole anyways ?

  • She is Lousiana Creole, but where did most of the Louisiana Creoles come from? You may want to do research on the Haitian refugees of Saint Domingue before you start running your mouth.

  • whatever!!! I'm creole myself so, I know!!!

  • And thats all you seem to know about creoles. IM sorry if it seems like I am coming off with an attitude, but you have to know the history of the people too.

  • I may not know as much but, i do know for a fact that beyonce is of Louisiana Creole descent because her family is from New Iberia!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Do you know where and what Iberia actually is? She is Louisiana Creole and there is no doubting that. But from who did most of the creole descent from?

  • Mo laime Beyonce e mo laime lwizyan creole pep!!!!!!!!

  • Heres a music video from the French Creole people. One is from French Guiana and the other one is from Haiti. Enjoy!

Tina "A tes coté ft. Richard Cavé of Carimi

  • Martinique, Guadeloupe (Basse-Terre, Grande-Terre, Marie-Galante, La Désirade, Terre-de-Haut, Terre-de-Bas), Haiti, French Guiana, New Orleans, Louisiana French St. Martin and Saint-Barthélemy.

You know what these people have in common in? Yeah, you guess it right French Creole culture. Some of you in here dont even speak French or French Creole.

IM HAPPY WE CAN NOT REWRITE HISTORY!

  • Bingo!!! But the Haitians and the Louisiana-Creole are closer related because of mass imigration.

  • ok ok ok you win alright lolz!!! gosh lolz!! I mean i'm louisiana creole but thats all!

  • mass imigration from Haitian to Louisiana and Louisianian to Haiti. All of this is writen people, just gogle it.

  • who fcking cares bann nanm med...

  • uh Hatian Creole yeah yrh joi kous hola

  • and clearly she is speaking ENGLISH

  • she is not haitain she is creole im haitain im not creole

  • laffy,

A Haitian is a Creole; even your parent's mother tongue, Kreyol, suggests that YOU ARE one of the creole people...

Pretty much, a Creole is anyone who is born (or is a descendant of) in a former French colony in the New World...

  • I hope y`all know creole can be found even in asia, soo pls she aint haitian.

  • is the creole language the same as french?

  • not really creole is like a ghetto or short version of french like we use slang when we talking..creole is shorter

  • Thanks

  • no prob

  • nah, the term creole means, in general, any language which is a mixture of various languages. but there is the language called creole also, which is french based. however, the haitian one, which she spoke, is way different than the other ones, because it has some english and spanish words and terms in it

  • Precisely, different creoles have different mixtures. I speak Mauritian Creole and cannot understand what she or the man said, this is because Mauritian creole is largely french-based, with mixes from various African and Indian languages.

  • More like a dialect of French (depend on the regions though). Most of its vocabulary comes from French, even very old French, and it is very easy for a French speaker and a creole speaker to understand each other after a short period of adaption. The creole I speak is extremely close to French and even closer when you're educated as you tend to borrow French words and use them unaltered.

  • I Would love to learn How to speak Creole, anylinks

  • no it not

creole it really different it a mix with spanish , french afriacan jamaicane and more

  • Louisiana is a Gift from Haiti to the U.S. on April 30, 1903. Beyonce is proud to speak Haitian Creole.

  • ohhh please, are you haitian?? me, I am, but everybody who knows the history of louisiana KNOWS that louisiana was for france, which sold it to the us. get ur story straight, we don't want anybody to come saying some bullcrap, and call you by arrogant terms just for saying that

  • Beyonce is proud to speak Haitian Creole. Louisiana is an extension of Haiti.

  • Comment removed

  • she isnt haitian but after the haitian revolution the louisianna population DOUBLED from people fleeing the violence along with their slaves. So MOST or ALL modern louisiana creoles have some form of haitian blood or another.

And yea, Haitian people are real creoles since our culture and language is mixed unlike lousianna creoles whose CREOLNESS is basically measured by their blood admixture. Most of them dont even speak creole anymore. its a racial thing for them, its a culture thing for us.

  • yes she is

  • no she isnt. sorry. I bet you think obama is haitian too. Fuckhead. Beyonce is a black american as in her ancestors were enslaved in US territory.

  • U should use google as a search engine to help you support your rubbish statements.

  • true, but don't forget that haitians are creole also, based on the blood admixture also

  • Haitian or not she had the natural accent :P

  • shes NOT FROM HAITI, GET OVER IT PEOPLE. its american-louisiana creole, very different . I am i m haitian. Stop claiming people. it's not cute.

  • Comment removed

  • I understand why you are trying to distance yourself from Haitians in mid1940's the jews were hiding their heritage too because they were treated like crop right now since they have so much money everybody want to be jews.

  • The refugees of Saint Domingue (Haiti) were the wealthiest of the French Citizens in the Western Hemisphere. The Louisiana economy wouldnt have been what it was in the early part of the 1800with out the Saint Domingue refugees. Louisiana was an after thought to the French in France but was a place of opurtunity for families that couldnt make it in Saint-Domingue.

  • my grand parents are Louisiana Creoles, both born and raised in America. They have no connection to Hati. Louisiana creole have their own history that is different from Hatian creole or creoles in other countries.

  • True they have their own history but have a stronger connection to Haiti then they do to France.

  • Contemporary usage has broadened the meaning of Louisiana Creoles to describe a broad cultural group of people of all races who share a French or Spanish background. Louisianans who identify themselves as "Creole" are most commonly from historically Francophone communities, with some ancestors who came to Louisiana either directly from France or via the French colonies in the Caribbean.

  • The interviewer got it wrong. She's of American Creole NOT Hatian.Major difference. Lousisiana Creole in America refer to people of mixed race(french/spanish/african american). It's basically a word that has different definitions depending on the location.

  • Tina Knowles is french-creole of Louisiana NOT Hatian. In Hati, the word 'creole' is used as a name of language not as name of people

  • I need to learn my Creole. The Louisiana French Creoles will rise again!

  • shit beyonce only speaks hood she needs to get rosetta stone so she can speak english properly

  • Are you sure that Tina Knowles ancestors are Haitian creoles? I'm from Louisiana and have Creole ancestry but none of them are from Haiti. They were African American negro and French from France mixtures. Actually, I don't know any Louisiana creoles who are of Haitian decent.

  • wow! I didn't know that!! merci pour l' info

  • Beyonce definitly ap boule wi la janm we bagay loool

  • Im Creole and I'm learning how to speak a little I love it its amazing a lot of people dats from Louisiana is Creole

  • Lajolie, when you don't know what you're talking about, then shut the fuck up. Kwaiyimey just proved how dumb ass you are.

  • Sak Passe, Nap Boule lol. Beyonce oficially talk creole now.

  • haha I love beyonce! she's reppin' TEXAS!!

    H-town stand up!

  • wow. history lesson needed here on the impact of Haitian revolutionaries in the south of US particularly Louisiana. We are all the same. Jamaicans may call it patois, haitians call it kreyol, spanish call it criollos and portuguese call it crioulo. But follow the history of slaves and revolters from Haiti (diasporan africans) and you will find ayiti all over it.

  • Last, Creole people from the Gulf have their own distinct looks which looks half black and white. Haitian people (if they look mixed) tend to look mixed with a lot not just bi-racial.

  • you do not have to look mix to be creole. all Haitian people are creole
