If u find it hard, I recommend u search up urbancurrent lazy vaults. I learnt it from there, its really easy. I'm not advertising or anything, I'm just a normal traceur, that is trying to help.

Now i thought a lazy vault utilized swinging your inside leg up and using that momentum to propel yourself over the vault. from what he did it looks exactly like a speed vault, basically jumping sideways and continuing on your way (he put his other hand down on the obstacle like you would end a lazy though) so i dont really see this as a lazy vault. of course this is just my personal opinion

I would use nike shox or pumas. nike shox have good traction. pumas are good for running. no basketball shoes, bmx shoes, or skating shoes. Hope this helps(:
