He wasn't telling nobody to go to Europe n start ojayin...& he's not talking bout killing...he said the blackest of rappers( black righteous militant) not saying no names, but they do go to Europe n start ojayin...he meant messing with white women...in the u.s. They're the blackest you'll ever meet, but in another country they being a hypocrite, & you'll never know...basically telling them keep on, tronna tell him how black he is, when they undercover...
@wanaraz1 WOW!!! That sucked!! nothing like some reading stupid asshole's comment on youtube, especially when he doesn't know how to use "Your" or "you're"!
@Terrekon Wow is that the best you can come up with? Brilliant!! When I write my next book I will surely hire you to proof read it and check the grammar. NOT! Remember little idiot when you start a sentence use a capital and try and keep it in context grammatically. "nothing like some reading" I think you need to go back to school DUMBF--K!!!LOLOLOL
That's pathetic on many levels: most obvious killing people just because of race.
But also, OJ killed her because she cheated on him. "O'Jayin" should mean killing cheaters, but blacks subscribe to so much racism, they can't see anything else.
Common goes on to say "we all children of Allah"...that is both a lie and, in the context of this song, demeaning to Muslims.
@TheGoalSetter I guess you're one of the fanboys who clings to Glenn Beck's nutsack? I saw his show about common and thought it was hilarious. At least you, unlike your friends over on the FOX "news" network, do your homework. kudos for the half-effort.
@TheGoalSetter I watch Beck for the same purpose reasonable people watch Jersey shore or Jerry Springer; purely for entertainment purposes. I also oppose violence, but if you're going to speak on something, it would benefit you to observe Common's work as a whole, but that's only if you don't want to look stupid (though if you usually subscribe to beliefs that are spoon-fed to you by FOX news, you're probably used to it). Oh, It's also quite presumptuous of you to assume that I'm black.
It is you who assumed that I watched that propagandist Beck. Frankly, we share a dislike for Beck, but you'd never know it because you can't discuss things like an adult.
You also assumed I haven't observed "Common's work as a whole". (1) I know Common well. (2) I didn't attack Common as a whole, I attacked his hate-filled lyrics.
Let's try again. What do you think of the line: "go to Europe and start O’Jayin"???
@TheGoalSetter It's supposed to offend me more if someone says "go to Africa and start Ojayin'" than if they were to say "Go to Europe and start Ojayin'"? I'm a pacifist by nature and religion, and I'm not offended, I just don't agree.
if you had any knowledge of Common's work, you'd know that the majority of his work is about spreading peace and putting an end to violence.
So, you don't want to hold Common accountable for mild bad behavior because of his work as a whole? What if he actually killed someone?
Personally, I hate the sin and love the sinner. I hold people accountable for their behavior (no matter who what else they have done)...thus, Common's choice to include that lyric is wrong and dangerous.
1:24 thanx common :)

You claim that I watch Beck like it's a bad thing, then say you watch Beck. What does that say about you?
BtW: I'd bet you'd have a fit (and rightfully so) if Beck said, "I'm going to Africa and start Byrd'n'
I just have zero tolerance for this low-brow violent rhetoric.
I've said my peace......out.

BTW: The comparison is to some white entertainer (like say Kramer) saying "go to Africa and start Byrd'n" (as in dragging a black person to death).
That would be just as wrong as what Common said. But if you like Kramer's work, you'll give him a pass...right?
