  • I love how Chic and Nile are advertising an Australian tour but only playing Sydney and Melbourne. Bernard would be turning in his grave at Chic's snubbing of the other cities. Shame on you Mr Rodgers.

  • They played this at every roller skating party I went to. We were 8 or 9, thought it was cool. Still love this song!

  • I remember this song from when I was... No more than ten, maybe 8-10 and I was in a Disco phase. I have searched for this song forever... And I've finally found it. Thank you.

  • Your vid is popular on Bandar Seri Begawan

  • 2 people couldnt dance....

  • @MeredithWaters meredith, although you're probably old enough to be my mama, you write sweet and you're probably a sexy 40 something babe. Do u want to shag me?

  • Great dance song! :-) Don't make 'em like this anymore. :- (

  • Nothing in music hits me like Bernard Edward's bass playing.

My kids here this kind of music in samples and I play them the original. Their reaction "WOW, how come they don't play this kind of stuff anymore?"

  • Excelent remember my school whit this music, great thanks

  • Losers today don't make music like this anymore, it's such a shame!!!

  • I should have been wearing bell bottoms and afro and rollerskating to this song. Why the hell did i have to be born in 78?

  • 2 people are big dumbass (:

  • 2 people can't dance.

  • it was a very popular disco song back in 75,but not too many people know about this song

  • Classic of gigantic proportion .

  • yeah i remember them old days lol

  • this the original thanks for posting excelling your mystical sophistication for the nation

  • 1970's was a awesome time to be a kid. We had disco, 45's, Roller Derbys, Sid & Marty Kroft Superstars, drive-in movies, safe neighborhoods (where parents would look after all the block kids), lunch pails, KISS, no Internet and no cell phones.

  • @TheZunigal You got that right! Raleigh Chopper bikes, Micronauts, Ertl trucks, 8-track cassettes with CB/trucking songs, Soul Train, Ark II TV show, everyone piling into the 1971 Ford Gran Torino station wagon with fake wood siding, no seatbelts in the back, and no A/C, for a trip to the bowling alley or skating rink... good times had by all.

  • @TheZunigal and no dentist.

  • Comment removed

  • What year was this? I remember this on Saturday Night Fever I think.

  • @sean301975 I meant dance fever.

  • Yowzer yowzer yowzer.

  • Smoking Newports, Kool Milds and drinking Col 45's and Old E in Queens, NY. I remember spending many summers playing handball and just having a blast at the park.

  • Love this one. Want to get on the floor and boogie.

  • Great gem! This song is banging! I'll never fall out of love with this song.

  • Hell. Yes. YOWSA YOWSA YOWSA! Me and my sister grew up on this song! And I'm 15 :P

  • Coo' sowng. It remawnds me ah da Japanese cawtoon, Cowboy Bebop. I imagine Faye Valentine and Spike Spiegel singin' dis sowng togetha at a music studio in da galaxy. Spike Spiegel is da soulman lookin' bounty hunta.

  • we call my uncle dance dance and he has severe cancer, so i found this song and me and my sisters are making a music video for him with this(: ill post it when its done(:

  • @iheartductape das fuked man

  • we call my uncle dance dance and he has severe cancer, so i found this song and me and my sisters are making a music video for him with this(:

  • This is the original version and it is fierce. This cannot be f--ked with! This is the truth!

  • i wanna dance dance dance:) and i am lol :)

  • yowser yowser yowser !

  • 1977 what a shit year it was to be 12 years old.. but at least the music was good!

  • @hot5pur11 awwww, it wasn't too bad. ;) i was 12, too! and i jammed harder than the adults did!! lol!!

  • This one has not been overplayed, it retains the flavor of the 70s and feels like a true time machine. When I hear this, I can remember songs like "Sky High" coming on the radio, and TV shows like Sonny & Cher. Sodas in bottles for 25 cents, bathroom wallpaper in plasticky silver and orange polka dots. Smoking Newport cigarettes in a Chevy Caprice. Undistorted by time and exaggeration, this song is an iconoclast of the 70s!

  • @MeredithWaters well put

  • @MeredithWaters checkout the documentary on here "80 blocks from tiffanys"... in the end at the block party theyre playing this track...i was born in 85 but watching that really takes you back like you was there...its on part 8... the documentary is awesome though, its about 70s gangs in NY (savage nomads and savage skulls) definitly one of the best documentaries i seen in my life....

  • @1KillaSkrilla1 Thanks that's awesome!

  • @MeredithWaters I would say icon rather than iconoclast, but yeah. Disco Perfection.

  • @MeredithWaters I think you mean icon, an Iconoclast would be the complete opposite of something iconic of the 70s

  • @MeredithWaters YOU- R- ON POINT LADY!!!!!!! NOTHING LIKE THE 70'S EVERYTHING WAS ABOUT HAVING FUN11111

  • @MeredithWaters you just took me back to when i was little with a bowl haircut, plaid bell bottoms and a turtle neck, with mom shopping at Gemco and Payless, and thrift stores. I remember the bigger the bell, the better the pants. our ice skating rink at the mall had round windows, the mall had a flowing small river, giant bird cages,an underground bumper cars and arcade, and huge starburst lights hanging from the ceiling.drive ins were all over the place and things were really fun. Its all gone

  • @1skunkus If I could go back in time, I'd go back as your best friend with the bell bottoms, skating rink, bumper cars, and starburst lights and would never come "back to the future". Stay young at heart and in the groove forever!

  • @MeredithWaters ahh roller skating too, leif garret, ELO and who can forget tavares-dont take away, the music (beautiful skating holding hands song), also disco circus-over and over, magic disco machine-control tower, Space Art Nous Savons Tout, I feel love 12" 14minute mix with the screaming guitar, laflavour-mandolay.Look these all up. I have some of the BEST disco, chewy disco. I can email them to you if you like, great stuff. the "I feel love" 12' is insane, ever heard it?.

  • @MeredithWaters look this up "Donna Summer I Feel Love mega mix 15:45 remixed by Patrick Cowley" and skip to 3:56 then to 8:00, insane remix on casablanca records remixed by the late patrick cowley. I got some great stuff to share if you want to build a disco mp3 collection.

  • @1skunkus I know exactly what you mean about the I Feel Love mega mix. Incredible! And Tavares! I love them. I'd be thrilled if you want to pm me, to check out some great music.

  • @MeredithWaters How bout this, anything your looking for, i might have for ya ;)

  • exelente CD yo tambien tengo esta joya :)

  • bernard+nile+tony= musical legends

  • Billboard's #20 song of '78. Chic hit #6 soul, and pop, in Billboard. God bless! RIP, Bernard Edwards, Tony Thompson, and Luther Vandross, who sang backup on it.

  • just bobbin' ma head to the rhythm...

  • just boogie

  • Makes me think of my childhood when it was on the airway, dancing to the music from the radio or playing the LPs.

  • i love this music

  • fantastic love chic!! not heard it for ages thanks

  • Ahhhh '78. I was in my 3rd year in high school. Deym, music from that era can still kick ass

  • This was the jam in 1978,but in 1993 people were still getting down to this, and today as well as we are in the end of 2010.I am 32 and this is still played through out the world and By Hip people like me,Honey! This Gay Diva gets down to Disco all day long!!!!!!
