I remember how popular Lucas was when the movie first came out in the 80's! Everybody loved this movie! It's funny to here Kerri saying that she thought Corey was 10 & Corey thinking she was 11! When I was a kid I wanted to be an actor. That has yet to happen, but if it ever does happen for me, I am never doing drugs myself. Just not my thing. Right now I focus on loosing weight (through the subway diet) & being creative. It is a shame Corey passed away at such an early age. He will be missed.

Too sad, he actually could articulate an interesting thought. this was obviously before drugs ravaged his brain and took control of his life. If he would have never gotten involved with drugs he could have been a HUGE talent because he was gifted.

This could be a "How NOT to live your life" warning for other younger stars. Hollyweird eats kids up and spits them out. Such a shame a still a life sadly wasted in his later years. RIP Corey, wish you could have turned your life around.

The thing was that Dana Plato left a son that is now an aspiring actor today....Corey Haim had no children. Dana Plato did and she was married prior to Diff'rent Strokes popularity, which caused her to leave due to her pregnancy and the creators thought it wouldn't have been a perfect picture to have the squeaky clean Kimberly Drummond pregnant with a child. Conrad Bain(Mr Drummond) did confront Dana numerous times about the pregnancy issue and she said wanted to have a child.

didn't his mom take him out of school so he could act (eventually.. when they moved to LA)? It's too bad he had no strong influences in his life to ground him (keep his studies a priority, keep his real-kid life a priority.. hockey, baseball, etc) look at the few child stars who aren't messed up adults. They had strong support systems who made sure they had other interests outside of the business. His parents let him run free in Hollywood.. when does that ever have a happy ending?
