  • my budgie doesnt like to stay in cage !! please tell me what to do

  • My budgie likes to bite my glasses...and her name is Bluey too lol

  • lol, but yea.. my budgies are mating and i got a nesting box, i have yet to see them in it yet.. and yea how weird is that?.. my female is sooooo nice and quiet and the male is a loud ass bitch xD he bulies the female and rapes her xD LMAO!

  • hi, um u know how they say that the females are mostly the agressive ones.. well its the other way around. My male is very agressive and the female is calm and gentel. Why is that?

  • kind of wierd... my female budgie is insanely mean but shes gettin over it. my male budgie is so nice, he has no aggression... but one day when he was hungry the female was bullying him and he got pissed off and kicked her ass so bad that she got tramatized

  • @catmanams lol gangsta budgie

  • @Xtoxina they all have differnet personalites just like people. Which is why i love em

  • only my male bird likes me but my female always bites me and breaks the skin:( is it a good idea to clip my birds wings?

  • That's very common. Please don't clip your budgies wings - they need the excercise of flying, just make sure all doors and windows are closed before letting out of the cage.

  • @darkclaw96 mine female doesnt

  • omg...weve got 2 budgies Tweety (green) and Rambo.(blue)..and id love 4 them not be so edgy...the way u r with them in thid vid OMG it makes me cry...i so envy the bnd uve got with ur budgie... : (

our budgies are just always so jumpy and scared and are not very freindly and in the 3 months weve had them not even once theve ever sat on our hands or out shouders etc....NOTHING like the way you r with them...

  • I need my budgie to be hand-tamed and smart FRAnk Help Me.

  • Hi Frank,

My new budgie has started eating but today he sits so puffy for whole day. I put the heating on high level with fear that he might feel cold. But now I am sweating and he is still puffy. He is eating all the time but I am afraid to see him quite & puffy as I heard it could be sign that the bird is sick.

  • I'm working on training my two cockatiels. So far the only thing they show interest in is my septum piercing. It's the silliest thing.

I love your videos. I miss my Short Bus so much.

  • He seems ok now thank God great vid and you are so good with your budgies

  • dude ur awsome and u have great way of working with budgies nice vids

  • alrite cool thanks mate

  • frank sir.. whats the platform u use is it a regular bird ladder orr?? plz lettme no ASAP!

  • It's not a ladder, it called a 'landing platform', and just hooks ove the horizontal bars of the cage. It doesn't have to be placed near the door.

  • Thanks youve helped me so much

    becouse I've got 2 bugie but i still can't

get them to have a bath

  • at 2:20 hes like i want that apple! it's all mine!

  • i reall want a budgie! i think i have FINALLY convinced my mom in getting me one for my b-day!! i luv budgies!!

  • male budgies have a blue colour on top of beak were the nostrals are & females don't

  • How can you tell what budgie is male or female? I might want to get a budgie soon, and I want a blue male, named Cookie! It's hard trying to convince my mother, but, I can manage, somehow. And how can you get a bird socialized to climb onto your hand and sit on your shoulder? thanks!!!

    Cricket1st

  • Hey, I thought saliva is poisonous for budgies, is it?

  • you guys bond very well how did you do that! did you have them ever since they were babies? my bird was never scared to go on my finger but other than it it would be kind.. scared of me or something :(

  • Your budgie isn't scared of an apple?

I usually feed my budgies bread, since that's one of the things their not scared of.

  • Most budgies like a little green stuff now and then, but at first you often need to show them how to eat it by eating it in front of them. It's a case of 'see monkey, do monkey'.

  • Ok, thanks =)

  • My budgies are afraid of flowers =D

  • Your budgies seem to be quieter than BradThunder's. Every so often my cat unfortunately brings a live bird through the pet door. I always have a tough time catching them. Almost always they wind up flying into a window before I'm able to capture and release them outside. They always seem to recover from that though.

  • That's amazing, Suzi must have a soft mouth, as birds usually don't survive that.

  • Actually it's normally my cat Carly which brings them in. I don't show Carly much because she's very laid back and doen't play with Suzy & Babs. Carly mainly brings in mice and the occasional bird.

90% of them are alive. I think in her mind she's stocking the house with wildlife:)

  • hello Gumleyboy, I like this update. Rocky and Bluey are so sweet! I have yet to get Bart on here but did take a video of him on my model boat last night! He has started sitting on my head now. By the way - his cere is a light blue colour but it is sort of crusty brownish in the middle. Does this mean I have a Bart or a Bartina?

    Cheers :)

    Colleen

  • Highly likely - Bartina!

  • They are still adorable. P.S. To us americans you have an awsome accent. LOL Makes it so easy to watch your videos. :-)

  • the way you are getting rockey to eat is the same way i got mickey budgie to eat this is the best way i think.mickey will eat most of his fresh vegies now and a few fruit. bluey is sweet i thought i heard him say (hi bluey) when he was on top of the cage?mickey likes glases too lol

  • Johnny likes to hang off my glasses and preen my eyebrows. Unfortunately this usually means his bum is over my mouth - occasionally with unwanted consequences!

  • Yes, these things are hard to swallow sometimes...

  • How do you get budgies to get into baths? My budgies hate their baths!

  • Watch my next budgie update (#7) to see how I did it.

  • Really enjoying your budgy updates Frank! Thanks for the vids. I personally have a cocketiel but these are quite interesting.

  • All my budgie wants to do is bite me, rather hard too! He isn't very co-operative, never has been.

    Dianne

  • All budgies bite, but rarely in aggression. He probably thinks you taste very nice!!!

  • Their coming along nicely. Bluey definately liked perchig on your glasses. I'm curious if you whistle with them regularly?

  • All the time! They speak some of my language, so I speak some of theirs.

  • oh gosh this was great! i love these budgy updates...this video could and should be on animal planet...do you have any other birds other than rocky and bluey...also did you have bluey when charlie was alive...love the spectacles perch...haahahaha

  • We have a canary who is very, very old and can no longer sing or fly - short video of him coming soon. Bluey followed Charlie, once removed. I'm always a little apprehensive that Bluey will bite my eye - Charlie did once, so it's 'once bitten...'

  • Our Bluey is as friendly as they come and is totally contented - but can we get him to come on our fingers? Not so far!

  • Try the treat method! Anyway, I seem to recall you saying a video of him might be forthcoming?

  • My partner has put one up on LiveVideo and will be putting it up here very soon. basically, it's Bluey having a bath! When it's up, I'll let you know!

  • hehe Rocky is lovely! he looks quite affectionate :D

Millie is doing good again, shes really enjoying the

sunshine, her and bobby are out in it every day,

they'd stay outside all the time if they had

    their own way i think!

    Claire

  • Last time I heard, Millie was a very poorly bird. Glad to know that she has made a recovery.

  • Amazing, really, how different these little sweethearts can be. But Rocky and Bluey both seems quite trustful. Guess the females are somewhat more agressive though (I had two budgies many years ago, a male and a female - never got them to talk though)

But I must admit, I've never seen a budgie with such talented skills that Charlie had - he sure was unique!

  • Rocky picks up the odd few words I say, but like you say, Charlie was unstoppable!

  • Absolutely love these budgie updates! Beautiful babies. Thank you! Peace

  • That was excellent =0) You are so good with them. My female bird Laiqa, who used to be very suspicious of me, has suddenly really taken a liking to me and follows me around everywhere. Alban, the male one, has found he enjoys nibbling my nose a lot. =0) Budgies are the best.

  • Cute - I was waiting for the out-take when bluey pooped on your nose but I guess you escaped that fate!

  • I've been a victim of budgie poops many times! A hilarious out-take from this days videoing has already gone into the out-takes folder for a late date!

  • Any Pope ones up for grabs?

  • There is one, but it's coming up in another out-take special. Will pass on nearer the time.

  • Okay, thanks ! :)

  • Glad Rocky was ok after his 'bump'. Look forward to the next update :-)

  • They all get to do that until they learn, but never-the-less, it always gives me a scare too.
