The color was somewhat darkened in the final version and according to DICE they shifted to having the consoles as their main priority over the PC because of the sales and popularity of the consoles.

For example, when the player gets out of the lav in the trailers, the lighting effects look very realistic. The same scene in the final version has close to no shadows on the characters that are standing in front of the rays.
