Just everyone`s opinion. I say, that: Thanks to Editors for gave us their music, to all the people who enjoy of it. I can`t wait for see them live. Next Octuber.
My mind is the two previous Editors' album were very good Indie album, but In This Late is more: it's a distinctive album, more focused. Even if it takes '80 sounds and a Joy Division-New Order taste, I like it. Thomas Smith's voice too, I think is better used here, even if it now sounds like that of Ian Curtis.
I love it when musicians get so into their live performances that they have mini spazz attacks on stage. Perhaps it's an indicator of genuine music. The stage and the psych ward are the only places where this is acceptable and maybe, in the house down the street with the ADHD kid. If your accountant put on that kind of a spazz routine while doing your taxes, you'd be calling for the white van with straight jackets in no time!
How can people not say that this is Editors best album. I absolutely love the previous two albums and this one is no different. Its so good in so many different ways I cant even bring words to say how brilliant this album truly is... If you haven't brought it, buy it your missing out big time!
@neonfoxincolour No its as Far from what the editors where as possible, ultimately it came across as Depeche mode rip off, It was Poorly recorded, no care was put it to it, and ultimately only 3 tracks off the album lived up to high quality set by the last 2 album. only a complete idiot would say that In This Light Defines editors better then there début. This Is Not Editors
@robertgreally There a lot of criticizable aspects in this album, but how it was recorded isn't of them. The frequencies were very well divided, no instrument "invaded" the space of the other, the synthesizers they've choose matched the singers timbre in a perfectly harmonic way and the level of details (percussive mostly) within each song is quite impressive.

I swear to God, I heard the Earth inhale,
moments before it spat its rain down on me.
I swear to God, in this light and on this evening,
London's become, the most beautiful thing I've seen.

I hated it at first, but now a year on, it might be my favorite Editors album. Definitely better than An End Has A Start

I love this version of the song. It’s much more aggressive than the original album version. I cant stop listening. ;)

Can anyone tell me if they change the name to the city they're in? I.e. "Rome has become the most beautiful thing I've seen"
agkrondiras 2 years ago
I don't think they do :S They didn't in Hungary, nor in Germany, nor anywhere else, I guess it's cause the album is London itself. :)

Ending bit remind anyone of Wolf Parade? I think the keyboards there are very Krug-esque, sounds similar to Kissing The Beehive
