Sea Shepherd achieves a lot by what they do, we wouldn't even be talking about whaling if it wasn't for them. There are all kinds of things in the would that can be helped, whales, people, bears, dogs, you name it. You can only do what you can do. One thing is for sure though, sitting around bagging people that risk their lives tring to help won't help anything.

I am a great supporter of what Sea Shepherd is doing and I know that many people say that Sea Shepherd is too violent, too agressive and so on!
BUT there was never anyone who got harmed by one of their actions AND they saved a lot of whales and other animals! People say sanking whaling vessels is violent, but what the whalers are doing is not? Do you know that the death struggle of whales can last for hours sometimes?

Paul Watson, the leader of Seasheperd claimed that he had been shot by Japanese coast guard officers on 7th March .
For the accurate sniping , a stable platform is required. Under the conditions of at the sea, both shooter and his target are moving up . The posibility of the success is nil.
But Watson's emotional followers can not accept the truth.

There are some great comments here about justice for the mammals. What is happening is barbaric and we wouldn't know it without seashepard. Thanks to him and his compassion for all wildlife we are in that zone. Kudos to them. Seashephard will always have my vote.

As for the ramming offence, I wonder what the Jap Nisshin Maru, or SS 'whale meat' Oriental Bluebird, or Yushin Maru 2 would have done down south, if Steve Irwin would have rammed them [in international waters]
I know fully the laws of the sea, & when a ship is tied up in port so don't even try me as u stand no chance.

Well as you say you are Chief Officer on merchants ships you know very well that a video of the last few minute of 2 ships coming together in such a way proves nothing. If you want to argue this please stick to facts. Maybe you could answer me this. Has Sea Shepard boats rammed and sunk whaling ships? Have you ever seen a vessel sink without releasing pollutants? That would be good whales how?
