HEY! i seriously dont get how you do the second part of the action script!!?!?!?!? i do the first part, then after i can't do another command because it says i cant apply to the symbol, or the stop(); is already there!
i spent bloody hours trying to figure out how to type the actionscript necessary to make a working play button that took the scene to a specific animation. This tutorial finally figured it out for me, but it would have been much better with some actual explanation going on instead of the crappy background music (sorry, Martin O'Donnell...)
Thank you so much! That helped me out a lot, note, he puts the stop(); on the keyframe but then clicks the actual button image, right clicks it actually, to apply the on (release) { code. If you try to put both actions on the keyframes it won't work.
the codes only work for action script 2.0 and wont work with 3.0 cus for some reason the action script 3.0 doesn't let you type the script in the first time... so when you're making a new movie use the action script 2.0 and you should be fine
how the hell do you get to the point at 0:47 -.-

try vimeo's. or try to see if you're using the right actionscript version. most tutorials are using actionscript 2.0.

Ok so I have to make a flash with Action Script 2.0 to use the command k sounds cool
WhiteBeanBag2007 3 years ago
convert it to a movie clip instead of a button.
that would be easier.

I had the same problem to, but don't worry, what you have to do is left on the frame or symbol and then right click.
