Using glue to cover seams is much more difficult to sand and shape, I use squadron green putty to fill and blend seams, I hear you can use automobile filler that is said to work just as good too.
I use a similar technique when removing plastic particles with a toothbrush, except I soak my toothbrush in rubbing alcohol so when I brush the part, it cleans and diffuses any oil left over from the manufacturer.
Anyone realize how Gundam building is a whole lot less complicating then building something like a tank or especially a ship with PE is annoying but results are fabulous.
He used some sort of glue to fill in the seam lines. I use Tamiya cement then squeeze the parts together then sand the excess off to get the same result.
This is a guess, but I think the instant glue that is inside doesn't contact with air and require longer dry time and causes shrinking?
Because putties shrink as they dry over the course of couple days. You don't want stuff you put on to cover the seam to shrink and fall into the seam..
did he mixed the surfacer with brownish paint @ 8:39? i wish i can understand japanese T_T

Thumbs up if your bedroom smells like model paint gassing out.

using super glue to fill in seam lines is great if you plan on painting the kit but going for OOTB build then model cement is better

I don't know japanese, but I'd wager it was a spray on surface primer. The same effect can be attained by thinning gap putty.

He used instant glue, and sprayed drying agent so he doesn't have to wait for the instant glue to dry.

Then why is it called "instant" glue? lol

Its superglue and spray kicker. It cures the superglue and cuts its drying time to a few seconds.
