Before having Christ, we try filling that void with other things. Whether it be working a lot, drinking, using drugs, eating or even turning to music. Yeah, the lyrics and voice are good, but just like every modern songwriter, it would be nice to hear more than three or four very basic chords and endless strumming of the same pattern. I'm hoping you're looking for honesty in our comments. Listen to some Jimmy Webb or Billy Joel, for example. Their music is just as sophisticated, or even more so, than the words. Yes, your singing has the right personality, and there is nothing wrong with going on Youtube and sending people messages to their Inbox. For a change, your one of the singers that can actually sing and hold a note at the same time. My dad tried to sing but he sounded like shit. Although he could play practically any instrument very well. I had to listen to my dad practice his singing for years. So I know what a shitty voice sounds like. But yours sounds real good.

Great lyrics,Great voice, in my ears this song should never be strummed, it sounds much better when picked. Strumming so hard introduces a sense of panic, which I feel this beautiful song does not need. It should be picked, with moments of NO guitar, allowing you to sing with all the passion in your voice, ascending and descending. Keep the guitar playing simple, close your eyes and sing to the world. I think your a great talent Josh, KEEP IT SIMPLE!

Yeah, the lyrics and voice are good, but just like every modern songwriter, it would be nice to hear more than three or four very basic chords and endless strumming of the same pattern. I'm hoping you're looking for honesty in our comments. Listen to some Jimmy Webb or Billy Joel, for example. Their music is just as sophisticated, or even more so, than the words. I want to listen to something that will grab my attention and take me to unexpected places. But keep at it, bro!

Yes, your singing has the right personality, and there is nothing wrong with going on Youtube and sending people messages to their Inbox. For a change, your one of the singers that can actually sing and hold a note at the same time. My dad tried to sing but he sounded like shit. Although he could play practically any instrument very well. I had to listen to my dad practice his singing for years. So I know what a shitty voice sounds like. But yours sounds real good.

Great lyrics,Great voice, in my ears this song should never be strummed, it sounds much better when picked. Strumming so hard introduces a sense of panic, which I feel this beautiful song does not need. It should be picked, with moments of NO guitar, allowing you to sing with all the passion in your voice, ascending and descending. Keep the guitar playing simple, close your eyes and sing to the world. I think your a great talent Josh, KEEP IT SIMPLE!
