Empty, the C-17 sits at around 277,000lbs, fully loaded she is 585,000lbs. A 747 ranges in size and weight, depending on the variant. The smallest is the 747SP and the largest is the 747-400ER/ERF, soon to be taken over by the 747-8 when it comes into production. Empty weights of the 747 range from 325,000lbs to around 400,000lbs, and max takeoff weights range from 700,000lbs to 910,000lbs.

Katie, the pilot (Carlos) forgot to mention there's 2 loadmasters that complete the C-17 augmented crew. The C-17 is the most advance airlift cargo airplane in the world and is the first choice when it comes to move precious cargo like yourself :-)
