13:04 is a another close up of the shoes, I like how they were drawn, I wonder why you can't see the paint in animations like this, the strokes are perfect not a white speck in it.
I think the Lion was much more respectable, formal, and in some cases really awesome. All the versions I see were a little wimpish...like, the Lion in the book hated being ashamed and hated showing it. Not the same case in these versions.
The Cowardly Lion is quite different from Bert Lahr's take. He's not as much overly terrified and babyish (to amusing effect, though) as much as he is not very self-confident. I'm kinda 50-50 about his VA, too; I like the gravel tone, but there isn't a lot of emotion. Still, it's not that bad.
Also, just before they come to the Emerald City, they spent the night with a farmer and his wife, who tell them how mysterious the Wizard is. And another thing: for being the Emerald City, that place isn't very green.
It's a WIZARD OF A DAY!

Continued from Part 2...
More loyalty to the book:
Tin Woodman crushing a beetle & crying.
The ravine bisecting the road... Lion taking them across 1 by 1...
The Calidas, then the second ravine...
The raft and the river: they forgot that the Scarecrow got stuck on a stick in the river and a Stork helped them out.
They did leave out that the Tin Woodman was once human; of course that's a gory tale.
Field mice & Poppies are missing...
As well as the goggles everyone in Emerald City must wear.

@livinlarge18 The proper spelling is Kalidahs, and yes, they're in the book.

@superfunforeveryone yep. And despite the great fact this included them, I believe they are 2 legged.
