its not a sequal. its actually a distant parallel sequal. the difference is that its not stacking up the game. there different games from different time but in the same series.

god, i want persona 4 right now! it looks so awesome! i was going to buy it like a week ago, but i bought a bunch of 360 games instead, DAMN YOU GAMESTOP AND YOUR BUY ONE GET ONE FREE FOR PREOWNED GAMES SALE! i guess i'll just have to hope they have it after christmas, anyways, great review ^_^

well thats what i was thinking, but shin megami tensei games are notorious for selling out really fast, when i originally bought person 3, i had the very last copy, and that was the day it came out <_<, but, maybe i'll luck out and they'll still have some ^_^

yeah, this is my favorite game of 2008, and if they ran out on opening day, and i didn't get one, i'd make a bomb scare to get everyone out, and i could just take it. ok, that was a really stupid way to put it. you know what i mean, though, right?

P4 is the best game after P3, the point I have in that is because in P3 you can work on social links or stats and still get to go to tartoris(don't think I spelled that correctly), but in P4 you can only do one or the other(unless your cuz or uncle is willing to continue the social link, which they are not always). I miss the gun to the head to but I already got over that. Even with those 2 things missing this is still one of the best games out there. bth, good review, when is part 2 coming out?

well, it really doesn't matter, they're storires are comeplatley different, so they're not connected stories. personally, i reccommend starting with 3, cause persona 4 may be better, but persona 3 is still a story you won't forget until your 80

My favorite Jrpg so far is actually a toss up between Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy Tactics. However thats probably the nostalgia talking, I haven't played either game since middle school.

Tactics isn't really a "version" its, its own game.

The remade it for PSP, so if you have one I suggest getting it for it. Or you can just get it for PS1, though I think its hard to come by.

I dont think you can classify FF as a JRPG anymore... I mean it did so much to cater to an American audience like in XII and in Versus XIII a more accessible storyline and overhauled the battle system plus taking out many JRPG cliches
