I am so sorry, but these series of lessons are awful, just awful! One should not trust these samba or forró steps from the internet, they are a shame!

I'm Brazilian and going to play devil's advocate here. That's an actual samba move, inspired by one of the many dances that inspired modern forró. Though I've never seen anyone actually call the move forró. It's meant to be used inbetween other samba moves. And the lecture is obviously directed at people with a ballet background, hence the move being simplified to its core so that such students can more easily understand its mechanics.

This is not samba nor forró. It's xaxado from the region "sertao". Her dance seems very mechanical, without "life", because she explains too much. If you want to learn or teach, you have to DANCE.

But the gringos are only interested in samba lessons or shows. If you say you do forró or xaxado, nobody cares a damm.

I did use the "search box" and I found her. Maybe it's samba to her and for someone who is not Brazilian, ME, i just really appreciate her attempting to share for free her culture what makes her happy. And for that matter, i may not like the "Egytian walk" dance but I just choose not to use it and not go and call her mean names and insult her for trying. People won't ever try to live or dance if we keep tearing them down. We need to be positive and encourage them and that's how I teach.

The Problem is not her dancing. For the most part she has the right idea. but she is throwing everything in the pot and calling it Samba and that's just not the case. Forro is Forro and Samba is Samba. Call it what it is and there won't be problems. People get all huffy about it - because they are proud of their culture... and they don't want someone going around spreading false information. Anyone with any cultural pride can understand that.
