Recorded on November 6, 1929 (as the label states), and originally released on Victor V-38133; the "Bluebird" reissue is from 1940, when RCA began to acknowledge the early work of Don Redman, Fats Waller, et. al., listing all of the band's personnel on the same label {though misspelling "McKinny"}- the only other time they did that was on the Victor "Swing Classic" issues of bands like Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey. Nice montage of "Victrolas" and the various places they often turned up....
We did play this tune many times, but never the spanish tingle. Good memories.

One of the MCP's greatest numbers and I love it particularly for being one of the handful of recordings they made with Fats Waller on piano.
