theres a difference between hunting and killing. this is where i draw the line. i believe in fair chase and two guys in a truck with lamps aint a fair chase thats damn unfair especially if your not gonna eat what you kill.
@y3k23k You dont eat fox meat. You can but the meat would be very very stong and tough much like any other predator meat. And i can assure you that the vast majority of shooters do eat what the kill just not foxes
@phoenix1916 about as fair a chase is i can give them i mean its not like im running down Mickey with a .243 and a silverado. but if you are you must have one damn big house and one damn big pest problem.
@y3k23k No but the end result is the same, local councils spend millions of tax payers money to poison these creatures and NOT an eyelid batted...Didnt they get a great big cat called larry to kill rats in Dowing street, didnt hear much public outcry about their rights, same old codswallop i suppose!??
Funny how it's the liberal urbanites, who live where nothing else does (save rats and roaches), that always shriek at the rest of us. The mouthy imbeciles have destroyed everything, even covered the soil with concrete so they won't have to step in it, and they point their greasy, Big Mac smelling fingers at us while yelling "MURDER!" at the top of their lungs. I guess they think they've no blood on their hands. Idiots.
@RandomConcepts The first thing my father taught me when I got my first air rifle was about backstops and safety when shooting - always ensure that the bullet has a place to stop it such as a bank or is being fired from an angle towards the ground. Never fire blindly through a wood, especially if you are near built up areas. And most of us arent sportsmen, we are people who do this because it is required to preserve livestock or property and control the numbers of pests in our countryside.
really you should get out of the car and walk through the fields in the dark. then shine the torch at all edges and when you see the sine in its eyes you turn the light of and call it. then keep on doin that until it is in range :D
@MattySimmo123 4 starters its a lamp in if u do wt your sayin wich i have dn an it fcks it all up say u call the fox with the lamp off then wen u put it bck on u have 2 look 4 it cd sneek up on u fast an then wen u flick the lamp on it will spook an run off DICK ED this ma knows wt he is takin about he as bin doin it 4 years !!!!!!!!!!!!!
@vbk929 its not a case of learning to shoot, mate. Its a case of getting a licence for whatever you choose to shoot it with - if I were you I'd go with a .22 LR and for that you'd need a pt1 Firearms Certificate
I know what is and isn't legal my friend, you will find that deer shooting at night is not illegal if you have the right licence, reasons etc! As for badgers, they are causing more damage than Mr Reynard and if the politicians had more spine they would be on the 'pest' list too... matter of more votes to be had in the town than the villages!!!

great video...theres nothing better than driving round in my landrover lamping,,get yourself a cheap motorcycle intercom for driver and shooter in the back of the truck,,saves shouting on blustery nights..KEEP HUNTING
He should've shot the badger as well. The country's riddled with the TB infested beasts. And unlike what most animal lovers would think, they're vicious little fuckers. I've seen the remains of farmers' pet cats and dogs torn apart after confrontations with badgers. And they'll easily tear into a coop full of hens as well. You can tell when a fox does this as 9 times out of 10 they'll only take the heads off all the hens and take just 1 or 2 birds. But a badger just rips them to shreds.
Foxes need to be controlled, there HAS to be a balance...a fox has no known preadetors apart from us (humans) just imagine you're carefully nerchered livestock that you have looked after all through out the year and, in one night, every single one is killed....but only one is taken...do you see where i'm coming from? But I ALWAYS stick to the method 'one shot one kill' as does everyone else i know. But saying that, you do get the dick heads who cause needless suffering.
Brings back memories of going out shooting, shotguns for us. We used to track them and lay in wait downwind. I suppose it is a bit long winded compared to lamping, but it felt a more of a day out ;)
A note to all the tree huggers, the fox doesn't have any natural predators, so you have to rely on humans to keep the numbers in check. I prefer guns to traps or horse mounted hunting with hounds, its more humane and you don't spend ages clearing up broken fences and broken horses...
Everyone has different methods of killing hounds kill 100% not so for shooting even the most experienced shot can miss at times, this doesnt happen with dogs when they catch, and YES i shoot with a rifle and lamp!!
I like the rifle rest on the wing mirror, good idea! We usually lamp with semi-auto shotguns and the vehicle's main beam... but this is brilliant, great tactics!
@jonrf1 semi autos and headlights? talk about mickey mouse - I'd prefer to use a proper rifle and lamp setup - but saying that I did get a vixen the other day with a .20 bore shotgun from a hedge in an orchard :/
fox hunting rules and has to be done the contry side dosant run it self no mater wot any one thinks at the end of the day a gd fox is a fucking dead fox a fox kills for fun not for food
Well shot a good evening was had from what I saw that will give the Livestock a slight breather for now unlike the anti's on here which keep on talking the talk with no knowledge of what they talk about just following the rest of the tree huggers around.
That's actually quite a funny comment. My mother is a animal loving vegetarian living in England, and as such I only see them every 10 years, so you'd probably have a better idea than me.
Probably, yes! You can label me any way you wish, it doesn't bother me. I live far away from all the anti-hunting/animal rights groups, away from town's, cities and people. I live in a place where I can venture into untouched natural forest for weeks on end without seeing another human. I can hunt, fish and trap all I want. I don't see any anti shooting/hunting/trapping people out there enjoying this environment, why might that be?
@DairyNZ Nicely done, mate - that knobhead would only say stuff like that on youtube - I'm guessing hes one of those treehugging grass eating fox fanciers that lives with thier boyfriend in the heart of london and has never visited the countryside :-) Fight the haters!
i would suggest hunting humans, but they do that around London and the south east nearly every night or dont you watch the news. as for killing animals, why not attack the car manufacturers they kill more wildlife than any gun...

In Australia we call this 'spotlighting'.
Our best ever was 50 in 3 days. The last one took about 6 hours to find. We were not going home with only 49.

In most American states, it's illegal to shoot deer with a light at night. However, you can shoot foxes and coyotes in most states with lights.
In my state, you must use an amber or red light to shoot foxes and coyotes at night.
