  • Gator Roll & Cement Mixer are indeed 2 different moves. This is not a cement mixer as he never secures a wrist. Gator rolls are generally used in freestyle not folkstyle because you generally just roll through and end up where you started. But sometimes in folkstyle, as in the swamp, the gator can catch a fish ;)

  • In Alaska that is called and Olympic roll, an in Florida it's a gator roll but I guess that makes sence

  • Greco calls it gator roll

  • Comment removed

  • PA its a cement mixer...and what PA says, goes.

  • @samechazwres9311

Ohio says its the Cement Mixer and Ohio is better bitch!!!

  • i utah thats a russian roll

  • That isn't a gator roll, they are both different moves. In a cement mixer you have an underhook and the wrist of the underhook side. In a gator roll you are holding their elbow on the outside and roll.

  • @Edu7346 glad people know that they're two different moves. i've won so many matches with the cement mixer. i didnt know about the gator roll until i was done with wrestling after high school.

  • in michigan its the gator roll and well this is my signature move

  • In New York we call that the Ace in the Hole.

  • i've always known that as a russian roll, PA is always on top of their game when it comes to HS wrestling. Iowa of course has the better college programs but all those wrestlers in those programs aren't Iowa products

  • @vicious91762 how do you figure when more then half iowas team is iowa boys?

  • twister or special

    in california

  • it's called a gator role and p.a. has the best wrestling in the U.S. as a whole

  • rusian roll

  • Records don't like. The stats speak for themselves. Iowa has a good college program. But their high school systems don't produce like PA does. This is fact.

  • gator roll

  • i think we can all say that iowa is the best tho...

  • @crispy1117 Not even close junior. Pennsylvania annually produces the best wrestlers in the country. This cannot be argued.

  • @mpointek10 Are you kidding me? i wrestle in ohio and everyone knows iowa dominates all.

  • @circaman1313 Let me guess, you are pretty young? Its ok if you are since it is a very common misconception. But take a look at the NCAA brackets and look up and down at who qualifies for the tournament. A site I stumbled across gave the numbers of a breakdown year by year. The records dated back to the early 90s. Literally EVERY year, PA produced more than double the next closest state. PA was routinely in the 65 out of 330 range. The best year any other state had was 28 for OH.

  • West coast we call it Cement mixer, if you watch few NCAA commentarys they'll yell out "THERE GOES THE MIXER" meaning cement mixer

  • and i know waht i saw

  • gator roll Because i'v been wrestling for 8 years

  • gator roll, if it was a cemet mixer he wud of had an underhook on him then circled right

  • gator roll

  • thats a Gator roll alright

  • its called a gator roll

  • That was a sweeet Gator Roll, you did it smoothly. But you kinda need to stay off your knees bro. Put weight and pressure on your opponent before hitting that move. Nonetheless, good job.

  • in georgia we call it a gator roll

  • i live in texas and that's a gator roll. i've never heard anyone call that a cement mixer.

i learned the cement mixer at a JRob camp at the Univ. of Minn. and that's NOT a cement mixer.

  • not a cement mixer ! more like a gator roll

  • thats a gator roll...... good try little boy

  • @Brady955 no dumbass a cement mixer is wen u have ur arm over theres a gator roll is wen ur arm is under theres like a front headlock but good try u arrogant bitch

  • im pretty sure this is just a gator roll... but i mean i could be wrong though...

  • @sphound it is they have different names all over for many different moves

  • In kansas we call it both, cement mixer from coaches and older people and gator roll from younger kids.

  • New York we would call that a gator roll. We call it a cement mixer when your put your hand on their lower back so it hooks that arm and they will try to resist kind of making it a hook. With your other arm you would reach across under their head, grab it and roll the other way.

  • Here in Wisconsin, we call it a Gator Roll

  • gator roll here in PA

  • thats a cement mixer in california

  • Here in Utah thats definetly a cement mixer.. never heard of it being called the gator roll

  • in california thats called a cement mixer

  • Im from Minnesota and thats a cement mixer not a gator roll

  • here in wisconsin thats a cement mixer not gator roll

  • we defidently call that a cement mixer here in ohio and im prity sure all the mid west. and since the mid west has the best wrestling lets just stick with cement mixer ok

  • Also having had the pleasure to grow up and Wresle in Ohio...I agree!

  • oo buckeye joe im not so sure... dapper dan ring a bell?

  • @buckeyejoe93 pretty much an opinion PA has good wrestling also

  • yeah PA is extremely good at wrestling i wont argue that at all

  • lol, you do realize that new jersey won the 46 team state event by 50 points this year right? and ohio did participate in it...

  • @buckeyejoe93 best wrestling? haha

  • @buckeyejoe93 ohio is the best :D NE ohio ftw

  • @buckeyejoe93 I wrestle in ohio now and everyone definantly calls that the gator roll.

  • @circaman1313 gator roll would be the one used in freestyle when you keep rollin for points, down here in florida we call this move the special

  • @buckeyejoe93 Ever hear of a little sate called PA. lol best wrestlings in the midwest my ass

  • @buckeyejoe93 ok im from michigan and well its called the twister sorry to burst ur bubble

  • @buckeyejoe93 maybe in terms of college wrestling but I think pennsylvania produces year in and year out some of the best college wrestlers

  • @buckeyejoe93 maybe in terms of college wrestling but I think pennsylvania produces year in and year out some of the best college wrestlers from highschool

  • @buckeyejoe93 not entirely true, the east is fairly good to, Like New jersey and PA . almost out better then ohio.

  • @nickrocksmysock Hell ya New Jersey is...o ya and PA aswell. NJ Shore Conference is uber good.

  • @buckeyejoe93 im from the mid-west as well and ive always heard it called the gator roll, and im stickin' to it, gator roll to anaconda choke

  • @buckeyejoe93 not even bro its PA that has the best wrestling and thats coming from a kid all the way from California. Ohio i would probably put second and then after that iowa or minnesota

  • @buckeyejoe93 i live in ohio and i call it a gator roll... lol but yeah we do got the best

  • ye thats not a cemment mixer thats just a gator roll

  • a cement mixer is with a front head lock and a gator roll like a cow catcher with a roll

  • my coach tought me that nd he calls it gator roll cement mixer is a diffrent move for me and its off the same position

  • Check out Stephen Dutton vs Devon Brown. Brown Cement Mixers Dutton for a state championship

  • The difference between the Gator roll (wrestling) and the anaconda choke (jiu jitsu) is that when you execute the Gator roll you let the arm go half way through and go under it to pin him on his back, Where as the anaconda you actually keep the arm and adjust your arm position from gable grip to your bicep, squeeze and walk your legs towards his hips. Very similar moves but the idea between them is slightly different.

  • yeah here in missouri, its a shitty , low percentage bad position causing move we just dont use,. lol

  • a.k.a anaconda choke (same as gator roll)

  • The anaconda choke is a blood choke, where the arm is locked into the bicep, like a rear naked. The gator roll is not a choke.

  • kind of but instead of holding the throat you lock hands on the shoulder instead

because in wrestling it's illegal to hold the throat

  • here in Nebraska we call it the Twister

  • I'm pretty sure a Twister is an entirely different move, also intended to result in a pin, but the legs are hooked, not just the wrench on the neck (which by the way looks like it could hurt A LOT!!!). --Matt--

  • or in other words a gator roll

  • ive heard it called a gator roll a neck wrench and a cement mixer
