I remember watching this live, seeing her interview where she said she had never heard this song before. The first few seconds I was shocked, thought I wouldn't like it, then it became my favorite version of the song. If she ever came around the Boston area I'd buy a ticket.

Wow she is quite...boring. Monotone throughout the whole song. Was she actually singing? I came to hear her version since people said how much Adam Lambert stole it from her. Well, Adam might have taken some parts of it but he kicked up a notch and made it a lot better.
The version that Adam sang was pretty much identical to the studio version Dilana recorded and released a couple of years back. But Dilana has said that she was "stoked" that Adam used her arrangement so ... Adam and Dilana fans who are upset both need to chill out and just enjoy the version(s) they like best.

Wow she is quite...boring. Monotone throughout the whole song. Was she actually singing? I came to hear her version since people said how much Adam Lambert stole it from her. Well, Adam might have taken some parts of it but he kicked up a notch and made it a lot better.

The version that Adam sang was pretty much identical to the studio version Dilana recorded and released a couple of years back. But Dilana has said that she was "stoked" that Adam used her arrangement so ... Adam and Dilana fans who are upset both need to chill out and just enjoy the version(s) they like best.

Not that Adam needs me to defend him, but if listen to the tape of the night that he sang this "Ring of Fire" Adam said very plainly when he was asked if he was going to do the orig. version and he said that he had found a different version. UHM! Doesn't that mean someone had done it before? Adam didn't say that he had made up this version...

Adam's is closer to Jeff Buckley's version. And I don't know who did it first in this slow version...Jeff Buckley or Dilana. I saw Jeff's version up here, but can't find it right now.

This was the original inspiration for this version of RoF. She had to turn it into a rock song for this competition and did quite well in my opinion.
Boy was I pissed that Adam did not reference who he ripped the version off of... The least he could have done was say where he got the inspiration from.

Seems the reason she didn't is she was too good. Gilby said Lukas won because "he made [their] music sound more like a band, whereas Dilana sounded like a singer, with Rock Star Supernova backing her."

I watched this show, when it was on air, and when adam sang this version I remembered that this girl did it, but I didn't think the way adam sang it was just as her, he took almost the same musil arrangement but the vocals are different I like both versions, but I guess as it sounds fresher I like Adam's version the most.
