However, for what it's worth, the Canon Legria HF series _does_ have a peculiar shutter priority settings that seems to be made for this very issue. The PAL version has a 1/120" shutter speed setting (60 Hz * 2), while the NTSC version has a 1/100" setting (50 Hz * 2). I cross-checked the user manuals, and I suppose that they were made for us . ;)
