  • that was awsome,i have always wondered what 22.tracers looked like

  • at 0:21 let some wone a fart !

  • That's slick:)

  • its red because that is the military (nato) marking for tracer. regardless of color.

  • That ammo looks like its Christmas bullets. Green box and red bullets, duh.

  • thats a lovely green colour :L look like lazer bullets :L

  • Check my tracer video. I show the same ammo tracing out past 500yards in BROAD DAYLIGHT!

  • Yes, looks pretty. But why? What's the application? Unless you hope to scare the bunnies to death if you miss by inches! (Okay, it may have applications in training or for semiautomatics, but being a bolt-rifle shooter myself I can't see anything in this but novelty value.)

  • @jsm666 When i see a target and the guy next to me can't see it, well then it only takes one round for your buddys to see where you're target is.

  • @FJvoodoo I see. I guess it depends then on what the target is and the circumstances. I can see it makes sense for tin cans and other inanimate targets. But if you're shooting at live game, isn't the tracer going to scare the others off?

  • @jsm666 Then again what live game? S does HTF

  • those look like so much fun

  • "And NO I don't have night sights, I'm just guessing" oh my god I laughed so hard there

  • reminds me of my time in Vietnam

  • en uruguay no hay.....:(

  • lol why TRACERS!!!!! for a silent assasin pistol!!!!!

  • looks like star wars

  • well thats not very red or green..

  • your aim sucks leave it to the pros k kid?

  • @apard7 I have a friend down there & dude that place sucks. You pay more taxes than the product is worth... don't worry the U.S. isn't far behind... (sigh)

  • lol fall damnit

  • this looks likes some star wars shit.

  • really, their green but the bullets say red, go get an education, the red tip is to show that they are tracers, its nothing to do with what colour the tracer will be.

  • i know it hard to hit a jerrycan

  • I hate where i live (AUSTRALIA) my reasons are: Fireworks are illegal, AirSoft guns are illegal, Paintball is (semi)illegal(you have to be 18 to use paintball here) Guns are illegal. AND everything NON illegal costs like $100 - $2000 (except sparkelers...)

  • can u use these in a walther p22 military??

  • @gojira7272 its .22LR......if you dont know you shouldn't be shooting.

  • @TheEmarbe yes but some shitty rounds do not cycle well in certain guns so i do not want to fuck up my gun with these. i just want to be sure

  • @gojira7272 did you legally have to take a fire arms safety course where you live?

  • @TheEmarbe to own a firearm yes to shoot one no and i do not see the problem with asking about how ell these cycle in a gun look at the other comments do u harass them to??

  • "I think there pretty cool...I'll call my ammo dealer and see if they have any..and if there safe to shoot...I don't like when people hurt there good rifles..and break the law..it's not safe to play with ammo that can hurt people or there rifles...".PLEASE SHOOT SAFE."....REAL RIFLES AND GUNS ARE NO TOYS...and thanks for the video. " GOD BLESS ARE TROOPS"...

  • Wow! Awesome! No wonder they banned them here, they look like way too much fun!

  • god damn it i think they are illegal in my country. thay are very cool.

  • dude tracers are horrible for your barrel!!

  • @Dylanlaw9

Tracers do nothing to do the barrel. Type such as the M62 7.62mm ignite only after leaving the barrel.

A tracer is nothing but a copper jacketed projectile with lead on the inside tip and magnesium on its ass.

The magnesium compound in these lights shortly after leaving the barrel. Meaning the bullet itself sweeps up the residue if there are harmful salts left over.

  • 2:18 dramatic action scene.

  • the 1st time i seen these i thought it was makeup because iv seen lots of weird shell things llike drawer handles and stuff

  • How would these function in a .22 handgun?

  • Love it.

  • the laws in ohio are so strict on these

  • now full auto lol

  • that was cool.

  • thoes are illegal! I am calling the ATF .

  • @Peaceandwellness well illegal in california lol U MAD? if u are then i suggest moving

  • @Peaceandwellness You are a piece of shit.

  • you can even see the bullet's trajectory changes just slightly right before the target from gravity! cool video!!!

  • What is the point of tracers?

  • @jonnyjumpsalot For civilian gun nuts, it gives them a hard on.

  • @jonnyjumpsalot what is the point of fireworks? Answer, Joy, good feeling seeing the round fly at high speed. Actually in combat to direct fire at target by a squad leader so everyone in the unit can see where the target is.

  • it is on my wish list!

  • yeah theyre dropping, your shootin 60-80 yds with a 40gr subsonic bullet

  • I bet if ya used these rounds as a backup weapon for self defense and they feed reliably in a pistol i wonder since they usually dont over penatrate and it has a tracer end if i were to use it against an assialent and it stayed in him it would continue to burn?

  • @THEMOSINMONKEYS just buy a .44 magnum

  • I want these, I'm going out and finding some

  • that ammo looks like it was made in china

  • @sledneck2xtreme At :18 you can see it was made in the USA.

  • @sledneck2xtreme look at the box at 0:15 MADE IN USA

  • @sledneck2xtreme it says Made in USA a on the box!... duh

  • @Skilow5001 its a joke douche

  • Try putting the camera about 12-18 inches from the target facing the gun.

  • like ur guessing

  • Fun

  • @MrbadatHALOslayer yay lets reload rimfire... dumbass

  • @justin11045 let me dumb it down for you retard: Those bullets look like shit!!!

  • @MrbadatHALOslayer you're obviously an idiot. nuff said. then you remove your comment to try and look like less of an idiot. nice try bud but you cant hide your disability.

  • looks good

  • You are a hell of a shot, whether you are shooting off hand, laying down, rested, you are good mister! I love all of your videos and how you have so much fun but still set a good example on here.

  • LOL, my tracer vid uses a $1K calico in 9mm, yet only 62 views. Guess utube don't like me, boo hoo.

  • @cheerdiver with an attitude like that no wonder.

  • @Tnoutdoors9 .pleasse test Grizzly Xtreme .45acp some time.Regards

  • hahaha thts great

  • surprised how bright and thick the tracers are, almost sci-fi laser beam like, how much more do these tracers cost?

  • so cool!

  • I'm curious to know if muzzle temp is a concern with .22 cal tracers.

I know when I was in the army years ago we loaded tracers every 3rd or 4th round to keep muzzle temps down.

Good vid btw txs for posting

  • @KILLZ66 I wouldnt think so because .22 is not a high cal. round I have a 50 round mag for my 10/22 and if i use it as fast a possible it is hot but by the time i reload it it is cooled down

  • @KILLZ66 every 4th as not to give the enemy to good of an idea as to where you are and to let the other squads know what direction the enemy is.

  • @KILLZ66 A tracer round is no different to a standard round in respect to heat. It does not "ignite" until it has left the barrel.A subdued tracer does not ignite until some 100 yards from the barrel. I have known section or platoon commanders use an entire mag of tracer for target indication. The 4 normal to 1 tracer ratio in heavy weapons is more to do with cost as a tracer is more expensive and accuracy as the ballistic profile of a tracer changes in flight, thus losing accuracy.

  • 1070 fps? my 150$ .22 air rifle has 1050fps (sorry if i sound surprised, i dont know real firearms much but i didnt know they traveled that slow).

  • @sparta435 The .22LR is a pretty slow round, there's not a lot of powder behind it. The standard velocity for a rifle round like the .223/5.56mm NATO is in the 3000fps range.

  • @sparta435 yes you can get faster .22s for like hunting and stuff. but just the regular round is slow

  • @sparta435 <idiot. lets go play call of duty in the woods. See how fast you can cock your pellet gun.

  • i got a box just the other day. good video thanks

  • That camera has really good night vision, what is the name of it?

  • nice shots man

  • nice, check out my tracer too everyone, lol.

  • Damn I wish these were legal in Canadastan!

  • @CDNBadass haha i see what you did there ;)

  • @CDNBadass Our laws up here are non sensical

  • That would b a ruger 10/22

  • @kinito1

    Search ".50 cal ricochet"

  • While I've never fired a gun in my life, is it theoretically possible for a ricochet to come directly back and hit the shooter?

  • @kinito1 ...YES !!!!!

  • what model is that rifle

  • @rockhound694u if you are using tracers then you are not sniping so concealment isn't an issue.

  • wow I want some ...lol

  • this is good for showing richochet dangers

  • @ILITTHEWORLDONFIRE and putting the fear in the minds of your enemies. Not only can they hear the shots they can see them.

  • @rphinks YES THAT WILL SCARE THEM WHEN EVERY SHOT YOU MAKE THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THE SHOT CAME FROM. THATS REAL NINJA LIKE.

  • tracers are banned where i live can anyone give me a link on how 2 make a tracer round 4 my 22lr

  • @MrLoonaticNinja In all honesty you can not make a tracer round, unless you have the means to pull the little bullet from the casing and re insert it when done. You could potentially turn a centerfire handgun/rifle into a tracer but not so on rimfire.

  • @snowboarddude117 THEY ARE DIPPED YOU RETARDED DUMBASS. YOU COULD EVEN MAKE A PELLET GUN SHOOT A TRACER ROUND. DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE YOUR MOUTH RUNS OFF NEXT TIME.

  • @rockhound694u Alrighty Mr CAPS LOCK. Tell me FIRST how do i remove the bullet from the case? How do then put the bullet back into the case? How do I actually attach the "trace" or little bit of (phosphorus?) compound onto the rear of the bullet? How Do i know for sure that the small amount of powder will even ignite the trace?

Before you start running your mouth you just as well PROVE IT.

Oh and WTF do you mean "dipped"? The red paint? Thats just so you know its tracer ammo.

  • How would these perform in my Umarex M4 .22lr Carbine? Would they possibly damage my gun in any way? And do you need any license to use this type of ammo? I live in Indiana. Are there any local laws that would prohibit use of this type of ammo? Please Email me at jeffsigman71@yahoo.com. Thank you.

  • PUN INTENDED! LOL

  • Love tracers, never had any for the .22 but i always keep a box of them for the .223 just for shits and giggles every so often.

  • 729mph isnt sub sonic. just saying.

  • @LateKnight347 yes it is. just saying.

  • @snowboarddude117 that is 100mph above the sound barrier. 1070f/s isnt subsonic

  • @LateKnight347 YES it is, last time I checked, @ sea level with ambient temperature a bullet needs to go just over 1100 Ft/sec in order to break the sound barrier.

Maybe this has changed since I looked last though.

  • @snowboarddude117 1100=750 mph sound barrier is about 600 mph. if you know all the science about the sound barrier and elevation i guess you will know y that sometimes it takes 600 mph and sometimes it take 750 mph. i have heard it varies. i didnt know it was that much. im pretty sure my math is right.1100x60x60/5280=750

  • @LateKnight347 Yes your math is correct but I am confused as to where you keep getting 600 MPH... Mach 1 is the speed when you break the sound barrier and that is about 760 MPH given elevation/temp. Are you referring to an object in vacuum breaking the barrier at 600? If so you may be correct because I haven't ever really learned much about vacuum. In any means the companys lists the velocity at 1100 so the actual velocity is probably going to be 1000 for most common people. Which is subsonic

  • @snowboarddude117 i had thought that was how fast the rocket car was going when it broke the sound barrier. then i looked the sound barrier up on wikipedia. who knows about their facts though.

  • @LateKnight347 I dont even know, my info may be off as well, i have been jacked around in my schooling and the teacher that covered speed of sound with us was a bit stupid so he could have taught us wrong info.

  • Nice! Looks like a Star wars Blaster!

  • lol this was uploaded on my birthday, guess i have to go buy some now

  • shoot it out of your junker gun.. I've had one lodge in the barrel and damn near fuse to the threads.. it was a nightmare to clean out. and it ruined a bit of the rifling. luckily it's just a marlin 60 although I do love that gun.. it's cheap to replace.

  • i own a 10/22 and it seems to be shooting high how do u fix this iv clean and clean and it still shoots high even sighted in

  • @browningcolt1919 If your hitting high when your sighting in, your not sighted in.

  • Sweet!

  • One of the interesting things about tracers is they really show you how rounds can ricochet. :)

  • they are $22 for 50 that is rely cheep

  • Nice to know!

  • looks awesome, like star wars! but why did i come here through a psychedelic trance video?

  • thats cool

  • 1:18-> 1 shot double kill! good jjob

  • thats pretty sweet. i gotta find some of them

  • How dirty was your gun after shooting? Compared to bulk .22 ammo anyway.

  • you're shooting them like they are really cheap ten a penny ammo. Are they expensive ?

  • @ianevans67 He says in the description about 15 to 25 dollars for the box of 50.

  • @ianevans67 I bought two boxes for $20 each at Knob Creek $20 for 50

  • @randomvideoaccount4 Thats not a bad price they would be twice that in the UK. We get ripped off

  • @ianevans67 read the description

  • @ianevans67 $15-20 a box of 50... not exactly cheap for a .22 round.

  • Fail ammo

  • Useless but a lot of fun

  • That's pretty cool, make the " pew pew pew "noise when you shoot .

  • I know what you can do with 15 of the 50 rounds>

  • @BLAKELAWSON2009 I was like... what the h**l does he mean with 15 of those rounds... Then I saw the dislike bar. I just had an "EUREKA!" moment :P

  • 15 ppl are douches

  • generally not a good idea to shoot at night

  • I loved shooting 5.56 tracer rounds when I was in the army. The night shoots were of course my favorite.

  • tracer rounds are normaly given a red tip despite the trace colour, nato/u,s have standard colour codes on the tip and around the primer pockets, eg. black tip = armour percing, yellow tip = explosive, normaly used on millitay rounds, eley in the uk used to make tracing .22 rf but not been able to get some for a long time

  • 1:08 - Star Wars Lasers?

  • Tracers are mainly for military use.

they are loaded every 5th round and they work both ways.

You see where the rounds hit but the enemy can see where you are shooting from.

  • @BR0KENT0YS0LDIER in nam soldiers also loaded the 3rd to last round with a tracer so in a firefight they'd know their mag was nearly empty

  • @0lone0wolf0 Never shoot rifles into the sky. The bullet travels very far.

  • it's nice to shoot at the sky to see how far the bullet will reach =)

  • @0lone0wolf0 you're the reason why there are bullshit gun laws. idiot.

  • Thats pretty cool for a .22 - Haven't seen anything like that here in Australia

  • no pun intended my ass

  • Tracers have red tips on all ammunition. It is a standard color coding on all single projectile munitions.

  • Blaster pew pew

  • lol it's funny because the bullets in CoD must be tracers cause they look just like that

  • @WeThErOcKsTaRs

Pretty much. In warfare every one in so many rounds loaded is a tracer, so you can tell where you're hitting.

  • Are these legal in Australia?

  • you can get them at cabelas. but they are wicked expensive. better off buying it online. and the gun was a ruger 10/22

  • HEY HOW MUCH DID THOSE TRACERS COST

  • illegal in CA.....

  • @timan282

Why the flying #$%* do you live there??!!

  • @timan282 What's NOT illegal in Cali?

  • @jaydubyuel Pot...... what a world we live in today.

  • Tracers are to see where rounds are going....for a.22 a scope might be a better investment

  • Not a great idea to shoot in the dark or any time you can't see down range

  • what kind of rifle was that plus name and brand and price and can you get the bullets in illinois

  • so red tiped tracers are some companys try at being real but there cheap i got tracers no paint cheap fuckin corporations

  • ok no brainer, green on the box means its non corosive (spelling my bad) red is cheap orange red tip should be insenyary and oange is tracer green in militay is steel shanke

  • nice video but there not true tracers they basically are like sooting a mini glow stick

  • major drop off on those indeed

  • will they light in a revolver????
