That last down bow is intense. Her violin is spectacular, any violin that can take that much pressure from a bow without crunching is spectacular.

Her intonation is just perfect. I think she takes a very clean line to most of her interpretations. Some find fault in this, I have heard all of the finest violinists in the world live, and she is, at the very least, as good as anyone I have heard. At times, particularly playing Bach, I think she has no peer. She is also almost unbelievably gracious and friendly, offering autographs and sincere good wishes to anyone who is willing to wait after a concert. She is wonderful in many ways.

So many people ask me "How can you listen to that?!" and I ask them how they can go without listening to it...Hilary Hahn is amazing and as usual delivers her best...I haven't seen one violinist that could match her and if there is one out there he/she needs to come out of hiding

I agree, Puckeffideb1, it is one of the most desirable sounding violins I have ever heard. Of course, how much of that quality of sound is thanks to her violin, and how much is thanks to the quality of sound she has ringing in her own brain, is really hard to tell. This Vuillaume is exceptional, but I think we are mostly hearing Hahn.
