  • Im not too keen on blends, more into single malts, but JW black is damn fine stuff.

  • It's fun to see a novice doing something and being honest. Guy in the red shirt knows a good scotch when he tastes it.

    Oban is pronouced o-bin.

  • The fact that both Oban and Johnnie Walker are owned by the same company suggests to me that Oban is in Johnnie Walker Black Label (but it's hard to confirm because these companies are usually secretive about their blends).

  • Well I hope you gentleman have learned something about scotch since 2009. I know there is nothing to learn from this flick, but I still enjoy it lol

  • Watching this made me feel like I was getting dumber. Your lack of knowledge on the subject of scotch whisky is impressive. Go learn what the difference between a blended whisky, single malt, and blended malt (aka vatted malt).

  • @pedantic79 We were all beginners once, I think this was only the third or 4th whiskey I had tried at the time.

  • @shaykai

then don't make fucking videos about it in wich you pretend to know what you're talking about!

  • Amateurs lol. Scotty (Iowa USA)

  • Ha Ha these guys ar funny, but they definetelly don't know much of whisky drinking. How can u even compare single malt and a blend? Even the most expensive blends have no chances against cheap single malts. And JW balck label is overated and too expensive for the quality, get the cheapest single malt and it will beat it.

  • it's colt 1911, jeez and your americans? fer shame!

  • i got trashed off a full bottle of JW black before the the next day sucked but it was worth it.

you should try Dewar's white label i love it

  • try Jameson honest taisty whiskey from IRELAND birthplace of whiskey

    cheers

  • More nosing... less gulping.

Get a pair of Glencairn glasses... you will thank me later!

Nothing wrong with JW Black... it's respectable... and quite yummy. Christopher Hitchens' Whisky of choice.

Never had the Oban but you need to understand Single-Malt and blended whiskies are two totally different worlds.

Look for a deal on or gift set of Lagavulin 16.

Again, Funny stuff and keep enjoying.

    Cheers,

    D

  • Hi Power implies that it has a HUGE magazine capacity for its time period.

  • Um when drinking Oban and Black Label back to back it is customary to regurgitate the Black Label.

    Its just a custom albeit

  • What!?!??! JW black label is my favorite! Haha :D although it may be cheaper, I think it tastes WAY better.

    Ben

  • wow Beavis and Butthead review

    scotch Wow live and learn

  • I hope you know more about guns than you do whisky. Clueless springs to mind. Just enjoy the drink and stop pretending you know what you are talking about.

  • you have a lot to say for someone that watches Dolores O'Riordan and the proclaimers videos. gay springs to mind. enjoy your the live version of "zombie" and stop pretending to be tough.

  • You keep watching your self defence vids you may need them. I don't pretend to be tough by giving advice if you don't know your subject eg the difference between a single malt and a blend is not my fault. Funnily enough i saw the Proclaimers in Oban a couple of weeks ago and also had a tour round Oban distillery the same day. Sweet. Slainte.

  • Colt originally did the 1911. Not Browning.

  • @Hypnotyze =browning designed the 1911. Colt still uses his design

  • There are a lot of good quality scotches in the world. With regards to blends, they are just that, a blend of many different Single Malts from many different places. and, as a footnote, when blends like Johnny Walker say 12 years on the bottle, that means it is the age of the youngest Scotch in the blend so some of the other single malts in the blend may be older. and with single malts themselves, they are just from one area with one scotch. personally Johnny Walker Black is my favorite aswell.

  • I was a process server for a while and i didnt have a strap lol, i prefer unedited it leads to funnier dialog. lata bro

  • congrats ben cant wait till im 21 so i can either try that drink or buy my handgun and get my concealed carry liscense

  • Being a big scotch fan, I do enjoy Johnny Black (drink it slow, savior it). I tried Jameson whiskey and thought it was one of the smoothest drinks I've had. Try it if you haven't already.

  • I haven't tried it but I will give it a shot! Thanks Etherlich.

    Ben

  • cool video!.. keep it unedited and free conversation....no set lines 5 stars

  • Thanks for the Comment warrgrave! By the way, I'm still plugging away on our collab video we talked about, it just takes me ages to learn songs haha. It will be completely epic when we roll it out though :D

  • Colt designed and sold the 1911. A round is considered a magnum, or high-powered if it contains a certain amount of grains of gun powder per mass of the round

  • Does that mean that Browning High Powered uses special ammunition?

  • 5 stars

  • Thank you Achu!

  • i liked it better this way

  • Excellent :) Thank you Cjo. I like it better unedited as well, but ironically Gregory Oaks likes it better chopped up! We'll see, i'll have to compromise somehow.

  • great video Ben. If your looking for a decent pistol for a resonable price I recommend the Ruger SR9 or the Glock 17. If your willing to spend more I suggest the SIG Sauer P226. I'm not a gun expert but, I have fired a few rounds for each of these guns and enjoyed them all.

  • I'm definitely considering a glock 23 (compact .40 cal). I've fired a G17 and I just think they are too big for me. I would love a Sig but those things are pricey!

  • Make shure you try the Glock23 before, if you go for that, Personly, I prefer a full size glock. I'm very familier with the highpower, It shoots the same 9mm as most, but i feel that the superfluous number of saftys are... superfluous.

Keep your hopes up for the Sig, Every once in a while I see one for $450 to $500!

  • i like them chopped... and why is my camera's quality so shitty?

  • I'm not sure, for some reason the video wasn't that great even before I made into into an AVI, and the conversion made it even worse. *shrug* I think I'm going to buy a new camera anyway, I really like how yours films in wide screen.

  • alcohol and guns really mix well ...... NOT

lol take care and be safe

  • What hand gun will you consider getting?

    revolver or automatic?

  • I'm really thinking about either a glock 23 or a browning high power 9mm or a springfield XD of some sort (probably the 9mm version).

Although there is a special place in my heart for the Single Action Army revolver :D

  • No suit? :p

  • Haha there was actually a discussion to see if we should wear the jackets, but in the end we decided not to lol.

  • oh and I like it raw baby! Kept it real in this one :)

  • Awesome vid bro! Something to consider when trying bourbons though....many of them are DESIGNED to have a strong bite to them, that slow burn after the flavors hit, much different than many scotches. Makers definitely not my favorite as well, but not my most hated either :) I'm a big fan of Oban too :) Great vid bro!!!!! 5 stars!

  • Oh interesting I didn't know that about bourbons, I will keep that in mind next time I try one. Thanks Alex!

  • sleep is important X_X ....
