@AmtrakSilverStar It is available with DCC, and DCC/SOUND! They have CSX, NS, BN, GN (Hard to find) Union Pacific/UPY, Chessie S., Frisco, Mo-Pac, Conrail, and CNW! :D So many!
I was intrigued with the question about Athearn - here in Australia, for many years, we put up with poor quality mechanisms in Lima/Horny models of Australian diesel prototypes. For many of us, substituition with an Athearn SD9 mechanism was the only alternative (1970-1980's) as they were far superior. Like the current crop of products in US prototype, the new models in Australia from Auscision, TrainOrama and Austrains are first rate, details and mech.
Nice Loco and Yard. The dwarf lights help bring it more to realism.Do you find the Athearn Locomotives more reliable now than 10 years earlier.I would like tto get one soon.
You should use a Athearn GP15-1 For switching!'
I have one and theyre very nice! Athearn has MANY different Roads of GP15-1's!
They have great slow performance, Good sounds, Not too expensive, Highly detailed, great for switching and Other Purposes.
