Why do people keep calling this British dub? This was made by Ocean Productions; originally based in Canada, they dubbed the movies using cheap methods, in a studio in the Philippines. The only thing British about it was the fact they showed it here one time.

Okay, I live in the UK and I grew up with the Funimation Dub on Cartoon Network and then Toonami, (It was definitely the Funimation Dub, because imo the Ocean Dub sounds horrid too) I remember it very well... This is Dub just terrible, and if it is from the UK, I'm glad I never had to endure it because to be honest, I don't think I could've watched DBZ if it sounded that bad...

These are not British. These were created by Westwood Media and AB Groupe. The scripts were based upon AB Groupe's French dubs of the films and because YTV opted not to broadcast them, without Canadian broadcast rules to take into consideration, Westwood and AB Groupe decided not to produce these dubs in Canada or license the rights to previous dubs of the movies; instead took a notoriously cheap route and had these dubs recorded in the Philippines. Nothing to do with British.

The only reason to watch this dub is to laugh at it. Seriously, we already had the American dubs in the UK so what was the point of this? The US dubs had their flaws (such as hiding death in the first three sagas, and other things) but they at least put more effort into it!

To clear this up, the British Dub in the series was mostly Ocean with a bit of Fun here and there. This Abomination of a dub only occured in the movies which were shown on Toonami in the early 2000's.

If you take a look at the Brazilian DBZ dub they were true to the script as they got it directly from Japan.

However, FUNimation's been doing a great job with the Dragon Ball Kai dub so far, even Freeza's (Furiiza) new English voice is better than FUNi's original.

Bought the first four Dragon Ball Z Kai Blu-rays which are no longer in production, so these are sure to be collector items, plus other than DB Z KAI 1-4 being Out of Print, Dragon Box 2 is too, as it seems.

Well, FUNi Dragon Boxes Z are also made in limited quantities, but far more than the Japanese.
