Jim Caviezel is a man of grace, without a doubt the only one who could do this role. In his personal life he's been married with one woman and adopted two kids with brain tumor.. I admire him, because most people become so weak when they enter hollywood. But not him, he said no to many roles because he didn't want to do sex scenes, in respect for his wife and God, and also he's stayed faithful to his wife even though every woman sure wants his attention. @TheEnemy007 No it wasn't.. Jim stands as a symbol of Jesus in the world of Hollywood.. He's said no to lots of movies, because he cannot stand the moral of them. (sex scenes etc) He could have been 10 times more famous, if he had taken all these roles.. But he loves Jesus more.. Not a coincidence, not at all :) His age was also the same in the movie, as when Jesus died I've heard..

Although I am an Atheist, I became very emotional after watching this epic movie. I highly recommend this to any Christian who needs to get back on his/her feet. Very inspirational indeed.

The evidence is that the dress Jesus was wearing when he was burried was found and is still kept nowadays, but they never found the body, which proves his resurection. Another proof is that, On the tomb stone where Jesus was burried is carved out Jesus face, which is explained by stating that on the moment of resurection massive amount of light was produced which carved our jesus face on the stone.

i saw tthe passion of Christ 3 times - at the end of the movie - when people were leaving the theatre (which was packed full all 3 times) it was so quite and solemn you could hear a pin drop

I understand your point of view. The world today is so violent and this is very disturbing. Yes, Lord Jesus suffered greatly for us, but a movie concentrated on His passions seems to me a little bit exaggerated. We owe respect to our Lord. Mel Gibson could have tried a movie about the life of Lord Jesus (staring James, of course). It would have been a tribute to Christianity. People who love Lord Jesus love Him without this movie, too.

Yes, these are profound words. And Lord Jesus healed my wounds with His wounds. I respect Mel Gibson and Jim Cazievel, but I still believe that this film is a mistake, because it concentrates on the the passions and it is too violent. This is not the manner to present Christianity. Lord Jesus was persecuted for His message, His Gospel and a Christian movie should present more of this message. A non- Christian does not understand much of this movie.

what the are you talking about? How can u say such a thing? I saw nothing arousing in this film and if someone else did that is their deal. The movie is about the last 12 hours of Christ life on earth and how he chose to save us. This ole man wept as they portrayed that beating upon him. Yes those time were barbaric and the world of man was wicked. But Jim delivered a perfomance of a humble man who accepted his fathers will.
Of course it is nothing arousing in this movie. I used a metaphor. I was referring to the fact that many people who hate Lord Jesus really enjoy this movie. They are glad and full of joy seeing Him beaten and tortured. A movie presenting the life of Christ and His message of peace would have been more appropriate. The passions of Lord Jesus have a special in my heart. My soul is full of grief thinking of how much He suffered. And I am not worthy of His sacrifice!
I believe the majority who did go and see the movie didn´t do so to see him tortured and beaten. Yes, you may have had sickos of the kind you just described, but they were really an insignificant number in the audiences worldwide. And the movie portrays the suffering Christ endured, out of His own free will so as to be able to save us. You should see the movie in its entirety. The hatred that Christ encountered being the Son of God, the rejection, the mockery. And still He died for us.
I know how much Lord Jesus suffered. He suffered for us willingly in order to save our souls. I reckon that this movie is a great one, but it is also an occasion for joy and pleasure for the ones who hate Him. And this is disturbing to me! God bless!
Mr. Caviezel is an erudite , genuine GENT, so talented, professional, caring/generous, etc. He helps people. I have just noticed his Italian-style , beautiful/stylish clothing. A brown top and (another) Beige Suede (I bet) , jacket. How elegant ! I wonder if he uses a personal stylist, his wife dresses him or it's just his impeccable flair for amazing clothes !
i think that the good thing of this movie is that like when the Titnic movie was realeased everybody of probably a lot of people in the world was talking about it, was interested in the Tiinic real story and stuff, happends the same with this film but the focus is our Lord JESUS and by this moments its really good that people of the world focus their sight on him (sorry for my einglish)

He dislocated it when he was carrying the cross, and then again when the cross was pulled upright into its hole, you see his face and that's all real. He was a guest speaker at my church today. Amazing what he went through to fulfill this role.

i saw jim caviezel in frequency about ten years ago and thought this guy really is a great actor...i saw him today in a 'film' called 'outlander', which made me laugh but his performance was about all you could ask for in that sort of story line. i came on hear to watch the frequency clip and found this. it makes me sad that he's so into religion...real shame

The evidence is that the dress Jesus was wearing when he was burried was found and is still kept nowadays, but they never found the body, which proves his resurection. Another proof is that, On the tomb stone where Jesus was burried is carved out Jesus face, which is explained by stating that on the moment of resurection massive amount of light was produced which carved our jesus face on the stone.

I understand your point of view. The world today is so violent and this is very disturbing. Yes, Lord Jesus suffered greatly for us, but a movie concentrated on His passions seems to me a little bit exaggerated. We owe respect to our Lord. Mel Gibson could have tried a movie about the life of Lord Jesus (staring James, of course). It would have been a tribute to Christianity. People who love Lord Jesus love Him without this movie, too.

Yes, these are profound words. And Lord Jesus healed my wounds with His wounds. I respect Mel Gibson and Jim Cazievel, but I still believe that this film is a mistake, because it concentrates on the the passions and it is too violent. This is not the manner to present Christianity. Lord Jesus was persecuted for His message, His Gospel and a Christian movie should present more of this message. A non- Christian does not understand much of this movie.

The movie is about the last 12 hours of Christ life on earth and how he chose to save us. This ole man wept as they portrayed that beating upon him. Yes those time were barbaric and the world of man was wicked. But Jim delivered a perfomance of a humble man who accepted his fathers will.

Of course it is nothing arousing in this movie. I used a metaphor. I was referring to the fact that many people who hate Lord Jesus really enjoy this movie. They are glad and full of joy seeing Him beaten and tortured. A movie presenting the life of Christ and His message of peace would have been more appropriate. The passions of Lord Jesus have a special in my heart. My soul is full of grief thinking of how much He suffered. And I am not worthy of His sacrifice!

I believe the majority who did go and see the movie didn´t do so to see him tortured and beaten. Yes, you may have had sickos of the kind you just described, but they were really an insignificant number in the audiences worldwide. And the movie portrays the suffering Christ endured, out of His own free will so as to be able to save us. You should see the movie in its entirety. The hatred that Christ encountered being the Son of God, the rejection, the mockery. And still He died for us.

Mr. Caviezel is an erudite , genuine GENT, so talented, professional, caring/generous, etc. He helps people. I have just noticed his Italian-style , beautiful/stylish clothing. A brown top and (another) Beige Suede (I bet) , jacket. How elegant ! I wonder if he uses a personal stylist, his wife dresses him or it's just his impeccable flair for amazing clothes !

He dislocated it when he was carrying the cross, and then again when the cross was pulled upright into its hole, you see his face and that's all real. He was a guest speaker at my church today. Amazing what he went through to fulfill this role.

This was the first movie I actually cryed, just to imagine that Jim got struck by lightning, dislocated his shoulder, and had hyperthermia just shows how much he wanted to make this movie even with all the setbacks Satan put against him.Even though I do have questions about my religious beliefs, I still LOVE JESUS WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL AND T OSUFFER THIS MUCH FOR ARE SINS IS BEYOND.
