Great gameplay, Great orchestral music tracks, tight controls, intensely fun, great level design. And the sales and awards to back that up.

Sonic is ballsed up, and buying any sonic game without the DIMPs team developing it is like stabbing yourself in the head with a 10 inch blade. Only less enjoyable.

Lets take a look at them now though.

Sonic Unleashed

Okish gameplay gameplay, dragged to a pit by the horror that is the werehog. Good orchestral music tracks, glad that they finally got the hint (but of course they didn't, as anyone can see from SATBKs music). Decent (if somewhat waggle related on wii) controls,

1/4 of the game is fun, the rest is werehog, and isn't. Great level design for day stages, again, subpar werehog dragged it down.

But of course! Forget it, I give up. you are right! I'm totally saying they shouldn't try anything new! Except that all the new elements in sonic unleashed for sonic stages WERE AWESOME 2d-> 3d switching? I don't think I need to put emphasis.

Besides, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 weren't as "perfect" as you people think they were! Remember Tails and Eggman's stages in SA2?! You moved pretty freaking slowly in those! Same goes for E102's stages in SA1!

You know the key difference between Sa1/2 and these games? SPEED LEVELS STILL TOOK PRECEDENCE.

Example : There were 10 sonic levels, 5 Tails levels, 5 Knuckles levels compared to about 15~ tops for the other 3 characters totalled. And Gamma was still fun. GRanted Big and amy sucked, but lets take a look at the werehog vs sonic ratio in unleashed!

Oh look, 7/8 sonic stages depending on what version you play, with AT LEAST 3 werehog stages for each sonic stage (wii version). AND THEY ARE ALL LONGER THAN THE SONIC STAGES?

Well, lets see, I have heard some of the more popular music bands play songs that kinda kick ass, while Crush 40 hasn't done music of they're own, they only do Sonic. Then it hit me, the reason why they keep doing Sonic games was because no one would sponsor they're music. They had to play music for someone, so they sold themselves to Sega, who had them play music for Sonic. Whether it was good music or music written by an 11 year old, they will never have anything else but Sonic and 4Kids TV.
