@Legokink1 Yeah they are but th AR 15 was the orginal M16, it was called that back in Vietnam, the M4 is just a strip down version of the M16, the prototype m4 were called car15

The ar15 now its basically a m4 because it just has civilian restrictions such as the barrel for the m4 is a standard 14.5 inches while the legal barrel length to have a stock is 16 inches. Anything lower it is classified a pistol and it would be illegal in civilian hands
