Now that i watch it closely, the Linux base of Mac OS is more obvious than i thought at first. I don't like Apple products at all because of all the clever marketing that tricks many people into paying extra, but maybe they are somehow good coz they can get one interested in Linux.

Nice Vid. A few people don't seem to understand that there are a lot of differences between VMWare WS and Server (snapshots, management, teams, unity etc). VMWare Fusion is truly busting down walls between apps and the operating system. VMWare Workstation is totally worth the price of admission.

u cant use an iso or an image file with just vmwareplayer, u need to create the .vmx file with vmware workstation (costly) or vmware server (free)

there is no difference between workstation and server except server is free. get server and then create a .vmx file with it. im currently making a .vmx file (if my iso file will ever download) ill send u the configuration file wen its done.

Nice. But what does it matter what motherboard you have when running OSX under VMWare? I doubt it. VMWare should be sheltering Windows and your hardware from OSX. OSX sees whatever motherboard VMWare says it is, not the one in your system. Coz u say "running mac os x 10.5.1 leopard on vmware on windows on pc on the hardest motherboard ever to get it done". What's the motherboard matter?

because i broke my ass to get it done there because all the installation guides said MY MOTHERBOARD nvidia 680i sli was the hardest to make it work because of the chip of that board and was hard find here on youtube the native installation to this board and you will read in the description the same the damn nvidia 680i sli was not suported always asus and gigabyte were better suported

Native installation (no VM) of OSX on ur motherboard might be hard or almost impossible, sure. But since it's running in a VM it doesn't matter what MB u use as long as u have SSE2/SSE3 or whatever on ur CPU. I just want u to be damn aware. :) Once u have OSX in a VM u can just give it to anyone & they can run it. There's one available as a torrent though, so u wouldn't have to dick with installing OSX at all, it's just there, ready to work, including network support! No muss, no fuss!

Except as far as I can tell, Compiz Fusion is only for Linux and I clearly see this is Vista running a VM machine of OSX, and Windows itself is zooming in. Is Vista also running in a VM? I'm lost!

if you have in vmplayer or in remote desktop another OS, compiz fussion is partialy applied to them too. for ex I am using zoom function in windows too via linux. but mostly using linux ;)

i got already 10.5.2 i suceeded yesterday i suceeded any possible way i installed this native i virtualize native i installed virtual and updated 10.5.2 virtual aswell i also made it on linux i run this leopard on linux now im going to compile qemu also works there on qemu with no hacks by the way the original disk on windows and linux qemu in both plan to try on kvm and xen but anyway i made it on vmware
