  • du bis scheisse

  • Hey you actually did a pretty good job bro. dont listen to those kids, they arent very good

  • Holy crap.

Take a fricking lesson before you start giving them chucklehead.

  • he cant even do it right

  • Wot did e sy?

  • dude slowwwww down !!!

  • wrong wrong wrong

  • Epic Fail!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is that a gibson sg? =O

  • wora losser

  • leeds 07 day pass, WIN!

  • U DO BETTER!!?

  • All of you morons who are shitting on this lesson are fuckwits!! Screw you all.. At least this guy is takin the time to do this.. If you cocksuckers knew anything at all you would realise that riffs and licks arent always played exactly as the original artist! The feeling and the groove can be emulated in many ways!! Lick my balls!!!

  • You know it's a good offer but I think I'll pass but

  • @hammmerrr I agree hammerrr. I've seen ZZ Top and no they don't play live like they do in the studio. Same with the Rolling Stones. I think this guy does a great job with the lesson, probably one of the better I seen and heard.

  • fuckwits? good job making up new insults, my 9 year old cousin could do that. Its great that this guy posted a video of his interpretation of the song, but he should at least say that somewhere. the notes arent even the same or similar for that matter. Oh and i dont know if you know jack shit about guitar or what, but its disrespectful to change a song unless you have mastered the guitar and are adding youre own signiture style to it, and no offense but i dont see this guy as a master.

  • @Ibanada88 Hey asshole.. Give him a break! As it happens I do know a tiny little bit about guitars .. at least enough to know many of these solos are improvised rather than repeated by the original artists.. Check out Hotel California as a good example of a song being played with different riffs/solo combos wit various versions.. La Grange is the same as are many Slash solos.. Get a life dickhead and go play your guitar.. you might one day learn how to do it! Fucking nerd!!

  • ...actually mate the notes and technique are correct but when you are on the 5th fret they are in the wrong order. Sorry that there are some idiots on here being rude, it´s really not that bad. Keep it up and don´t listen to ignorant twats!

  • No wonder it's free, because the lesson sucks...

  • sorry mate the first bit is wrong wrong!

  • first might be off...but that doesnt give u the right to dis british people u dumb shit...

gtfo please and pref. kill urself

    thanks

  • LA GRANGE TABARNAK

  • it's not bad, but there's a note that shouldn'y be there, check it out.

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!

  • Then make your own fucking video showing us how. I've been going around different videos and all you do is bitch about how they're all wrong. If you don't like a lesson, make your fucking own instead of bitching about everyone else who is actually making an attempt at helping.

  • Actually, it's pretty close. And what in the fuck do you mean "no pulling off" with the pinky? WTF? Go take some lessons, you stupid fucker. phadelife is right about you.

  • nise guitar!

  • niSe spelling

  • What amp are you playing through?

  • if u slow down, it sounds a lot better

  • Thanks for sharing your take on this classic riff . . It may look simple but requires lots of crunchy muted styling to sound right.

  • This is terrible. You should learn the song before you TRY to teach it. Clean your room too!!!

  • your mom goes to college

  • How about doing "Driving While Blind" for us ?

    Thanks MJ

  • But all this is only part of the story on the intro. If you listen closely, there is also a walking bass line Billy is doing on the E and A string WHILE DOING THE RIFF AT THE SAME TIME. This is tough to figure out, but I am almost there.

  • Hey Dude, great tip on using the fingers instead of a pick. You cannot get that same natural, Gibbons sound if you are using a pick. Thanks for putting me on to that. You are a bit off on the beginning riff, I hate to say. For the first three cycles he pulls off on the D string just once, and then pulls off the G string twice. Then after the third cycle of that, the riff is much more simple, just like the heavy riff part of the song, hitting the c and then the d note on the A string.

  • Dude you might want to go back and check the first part...your playing it backwards.

  • thats not how its palyed man!

  • skynyrd67, his lesson is great nummnuts so out of respect for ingalea, screw off! Sounds like you are another one of the many jealous critics out there that have nothing better to do than slam rockers trying to share the gift of rock and roll. Where in the hell do you get off using anything that even remotely relates to the great skynyrd? go 69 with boyfriend 67

  • easy on my ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for the video. I've been trying to figure out the opening riff for about a week now and now I have it. Thanks again. Love the SG sound!

  • Gibson SG

  • Hi. Thanks for the free lesson. I checked out your lesson because I took the chord progression from Joe Walsh's " Rocky Mountain Way " and it sounded somewhat similar to the ZZ's " La Grange ' and I wanted to be sure that I was not ripping them off as a part I am using for my own song. I know you must be busy but I hope you can give me your opinion...at my own email address. thanks.

  • Its confusing using your fingers like that. Can't you sub with a pick instead of your thumb and use your middle and ring fingers for the other strings. Oi this is a weird song to play:)

  • you can use a pick it just wont have the same effect it rolls much better when u use your fingers

  • @GodOfValhalla if you want to be a skilled guitarist you're gonna have to learn to use your fingers to pick, i know it's anoyying when you've started off with a pick but when i started to use my fingers for songs it is more enjoyable when playing things like blues and shreds.

  • all the vids that i watched how to play this song everybody gots a sg i'm sad

  • haha SG's are awesome....i cant quite afford a Billy Bo so i'll make do with this ;)

  • yeah i can play this song now thanks my friend keep rockin

  • Keep Working hard at teaching!!Awsome job.Thumbs up!!

  • lol why not take the foot switc out?
