The word Atheist simply means no belief in any number of theistically gods of theistically gods (not in any of the millions which have been created by humans) so everyone’s an atheist to all of the gods that they don’t believe in.

As an atheist, I'll say atheism is not a belief that there is no god.... it's simply acknowledging that there is no reason to believe that any god exist. I've been a a black atheist for years and as a black man, in the closet about my views. I thought the prospects of finding a black female who saw things like me were slim to none... This video made me feel differently.

This life is an experience of good and evil. Is you believe that God is good, then you believe that evil has come because people have turned from God, and then you draw near to God asking Him to take away the evil in you. If you believe that God is bad, then you believe that evil comes from Him and good is found in distance and unbelief. One way leads to eternal bliss and the other to eternal misery.

I was a child of a JW, but like you said, it didn't connect with me either. I hope you aren't any longer apprehensive of the word atheist. Tbh, in the old testament there are some odd things in it, but God does what he does for good reason even if others don't agree; however, as far as the teachings, I can't say that I have seen any contradictions. I used to think there was until I read and meditated on it.
I totally relate to everything you have said. I am the only black atheist ( well besides my daughter) I know. But, I still celebrate the holidays ( Oct., Nov., Dec., & valentines day...lol) because of the contempary message and that is happiness, peace, cheer, and good will. It's fun, I love Christmas, because it's not about religion for me. The only holiday I do not celebrate because it's religous is Easter and I don't like the eggs or that bunny...lol

@dgb751 Who told you people who've been clinically dead don't come back with visions of the afterlife. There are countless testimonials since the middle ages of people having such encounters. Some have had very pleasant experiences and met with Jesus or saw departed relatives. For others it was terrifying because they were shown glimpses of hell. There are videos on YT right now about this phenomenon. Just type in Near Death Experience.

Honestly, I'm surprised it's so uncommon. I mean, I'm the only black atheist I know but I always thought that was because I live in a predominately white area. It's surprising, honestly.

As an atheist, I'll say atheism is not a belief that there is no god.... it's simply acknowledging that there is no reason to believe that any god exist. I've been a a black atheist for years and as a black man, in the closet about my views. I thought the prospects of finding a black female who saw things like me were slim to none... This video made me feel differently.

This life is an experience of good and evil. Is you believe that God is good, then you believe that evil has come because people have turned from God, and then you draw near to God asking Him to take away the evil in you. If you believe that God is bad, then you believe that evil comes from Him and good is found in distance and unbelief. One way leads to eternal bliss and the other to eternal misery.

I was a child of a JW, but like you said, it didn't connect with me either. I hope you aren't any longer apprehensive of the word atheist. Tbh, in the old testament there are some odd things in it, but God does what he does for good reason even if others don't agree; however, as far as the teachings, I can't say that I have seen any contradictions. I used to think there was until I read and meditated on it.

I totally relate to everything you have said. I am the only black atheist ( well besides my daughter) I know. But, I still celebrate the holidays ( Oct., Nov., Dec., & valentines day...lol) because of the contempary message and that is happiness, peace, cheer, and good will. It's fun, I love Christmas, because it's not about religion for me. The only holiday I do not celebrate because it's religous is Easter and I don't like the eggs or that bunny...lol

Reading the bible properly from cover to cover is the best way to become an athiest.

I applaud you for your honesty. I get the same bull when I tell people that I am atheist. @dgb751 Who told you people who've been clinically dead don't come back with visions of the afterlife. There are countless testimonials since the middle ages of people having such encounters. Some have had very pleasant experiences and met with Jesus or saw departed relatives. For others it was terrifying because they were shown glimpses of hell. There are videos on YT right now about this phenomenon. Just type in Near Death Experience.

@DarkFrostX5 I know this is late, but I was wondering...why the hate? i'm a black female atheist myself, and for a while i struggled with the label. I've never been a label person either. But I want to know...Do you even know the true definition of atheist or agnostic? Agnosticism is not a middle way between theism and atheism, as many treat it. Agnosticism has to do with knowledge. Atheism, by definition, is simply the lack of belief in any gods. Both theists and atheists can be agnostic.

Well, Jesus also had two things to say on argueing with "fools" (yes, a actually read your bible), and wrt the terror, you'll be hard pressed to find any other reference then hell is being in the absence of god. (which cannot be if god is omnipresent).
