  • Ur right, that is a nice Mayza.

  • any chance u wanna sell that guitar?

  • @thejoshduncan Funny you ask, I recently posted it on craigslist. Message me if you are interested in it.

  • wow i buy a race car and i cant even drive=P

  • i'm saving up for this XD the only reason why i haven quit my job lol

  • nice guitar mate, i have the same set up. im thinking of including a Line6 HD500 in my effects chain because I dont like to pedal dance. Have you tried the HD500 through the dual rec and if so, what did you think of it?

  • how much did the head and cab cost?

  • @dan95brantner the head I bought new for $1800 and the cab used for $550 I think. Got this whole setup for sale fyi! I have added a few things not in this video that make it the perfect rig!

  • @gif38 What rig you moving onto?

  • what's it like for home play :P the the dual rec is what i plan on getting but i don't want to blow my neighbours away

  • Sry man, but your guitar is really ugly one. And if you can play only on this level, you better quit it. This is SOUND TEST, don't you think that it would be more playing and less talking?

  • @rolandironfist Well, he also says that this is a rig update.

  • do you use reverb in your clean channel?

  • Lol at people with money to spend

  • What do you use for footswitching? Oh and the playing was great, prolly sounds better in person, but still, cool rig.

  • In the video I just used the Mesa footswitch. I now use a midimate pedal thru a mini amp gizmo. The mini amp gizmo changes my amp channels simultaniously with the G major patches.

  • Its M-E-S-A not M-A-Z-A

  • 3:50 if you just want to go straight to the sound clip.

  • great set up man, i was curious how hard is it to carry that rack around? I am thinking of redoing my rig, cant decide if i should get a rack set up like you have or just stick with pedal board into the amp.

  • it's official now.. there is no good mesa dual rec demo on youtube

  • does anyone know, if you just order the footswitch, if it come with the cable?

    thanks!

  • not a huge fan of your tone, that's a great rig though. Love the G Major

  • @PiggySmallz24 its prolly the camara

  • Exact same setup, expect the rack and I´ve got a Eclipse II SW.

  • cost for which part?

  • cost?

  • Great sound dude!

  • is this better or Mark V? I am thinking which one that i should get in two weeks```

  • Its really just preference... I prefer the growling tone of the Dual over the MV, however both are great amps. I was fortunate enough to be able to play them back to back. The MV has a bit more versitilty but the flavor of the Dual Rec matched the tone I was after and my playing style. Cant go wrong with either one tho!

  • @gif38 That's a big help for me! Thx and enjoy your new amp!

  • @LambOfGod4Life888 Dude i'm a huge fan of the mark series of amps in my opinion they blow rec's out of the water. unlike the rectifier the mark v has much more versatility any tone you want is pretty much possible

  • @LambOfGod4Life888 dual rectifier < mark v < mark iv

  • im diggin ur gear....all u need is a maximizer and you r set. i added one to my rig and i was pretty impressed

  • nevermind as i continued to listen u answsered my question. lol

  • where did u get the road case for your amp head?

  • Great rig and great playing. Ignore a haters man and keep on rocking!

  • I love this!, in fact this is what I'm going for: mesa dual recto ..same cab with celestions...I have the same ec-1000 deluxe .. in see thru black cherry. sweet.

congrats man. don't listen to haters!

  • thanks man! ah, they dont bother me.

  • someone please tell me why is there no channel 1 external switching jack

  • can u even externally control channel 1

  • Hello, thanks for this, nice tones. Did it take you a while to find a tone you liked with this amp?

  • Dude you sound at times like ELVIS...."Well Thank You Very Much"

  • dude congrats on the new recto!! i'm gonna trade mine in for the new one soon.

  • dayum that girl sound nice

  • i hate it so fuckin much if people have the best equipment but can´t play....

  • I hate when people are jealous of my gear and are dicks especially when they dont back it up after making an ignorant comment.

  • @Naizabeth You don't have to be John Petrucci to play a Mesa Boogie, you don't need a licence for it.

If gif38 works and saved money for this rig or his parents are wealthy and can afford it, let him play shit with a Mesa.

  • @Naizabeth I hate people like you. He plays guitar and can afford a mesa where is the problem. ah i forgott you are the world best guitarist and are the only one allowed to play mesas :D. come on if you can't afford a mesa don't be jealos on othere people. stay fair.

@gif38 : go on you seem like a nice guy and your playing improves.

  • @Naizabeth He didn't say he was trying to be Jeff Loomis, he was just demoing an amp. Simple as that.

  • @Naizabeth jst cuz he didn't go all shredder on us doesn't mean he can't play, it just means he is showing what he likes to play and he is giving us a sound example of the amp, for mesas its probably better to just chug and play more simple stuff like that so you can hear the quality of the amp, this proves nothing of his skills...

  • I use the normal sized Mesa 4x12s, the have a more focused bass response. Mind sharing your settings for that channel? I'm always looking for some new sound ideas!!!

  • I have and use both a Recto oversize cab and a Traditional cab. Each have 2) V30's and 2) BlackShadows. Makes for a killer tone and low end!

My settings were mostly at noon, bass on about 6 or 7.

  • ugh i envy ur setup! Im saving up for a used rectifier from guitar center for about 1,200 and then an old used cab too ugh i only have like 400 bucks so far but not bad from only 2 months of saving for a 15 y/o right?! Nice demo man thx

  • ...Don't you use an overdrive pedal before the Dual? Have the same 2010 model but never reach the tone you have, I think it's the EMGs that suit the rectifier best!!!Vacuum or Silicon?

  • Nope, no pedals in my rig! In this vid im using the tube tracking but I go back and forth. emg's are great but I like the passives as well. What cab you playing thru?

  • you bastard you have my exact dream rig :)

  • ha ha, thanks bro!

  • Sorry but what's that thing you have around the head?

  • Its a shock mount road case.

  • @gif38 Ok thanks :), was also wondering what song was playing in the backround, sounds like Metallica but what song..?

  • Metallica, That Was Just Your Life

  • What do you know...back to a mesa amp lol.

  • Sound review please!

  • Could you perhaps do a more in-depth review of the 2010 Rectifier? A lot of people have been curious to how much Mesa has improved the tone over the last models. Congrats on the gear, btw. Sounds great. :)

  • Thanks! yes Ill do one this weekend. ill go thru the channels and different settings.

  • @gif38

Cheers! That would be greatly appreciated. ^^

  • Cool - congrats on the new amp!

  • Nice, hope you enjoy it

  • wow your band must really be making some money for you :)

  • I got my 6505+ a week or so ago, so I'm curios.

What is it the Mesa does, the Peavey didnt do for you? Just the sound, or is it a matter of functionality/versatility as well?

  • The Peavey was great. Its just I love the tone of Mesa. They are equally versitile but 2 different animals when it comes to tone. The Mesa does have more flexibility with tonal adjustments but it comes down to the sound you want. I would have liked to keep it but funds wouldnt allow.

  • Ah, I see. Hope you enjoy it, then. :)
